I was moving a large item, that fits perfectly inside the van. But the dolly was in the way. I had to move it. Because of that i was charge for using the dolly.

My rating of poor actually applies to UHaul overall - not to your Blaine, MN location. The staff at Blaine were fine and very helpful. I objected to two things. Your employee Paige called me about 4 days prior to my move to ask me what I planned to do with your truck. She also questioned why I wanted it for the 5 days it was reserved. You are in the business of renting trucks to people who need to move. I was MOVING. Paige's call was very accusatory and I didn't appreciate it. Then, even though you accepted my online reservation for a 17-foot truck (reservation was made Dec. 2) Paige informed me I couldn't have that size. Again -- not an acceptable response given I made the reservation well in advance of actually needing the truck.

My experience with the owner of the Blaine location over what should have been a simple billing issue was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a business. I wasn't able to even fully explain the situation I was seeing with multiple credit card charges/double billing before breach of contract and auctioning my items were mentioned, and further efforts to try and actually explain the situation were met with an aggressive tone, immediately cutting me off mid sentence and not allowing me to explain the full situation. This experience is THE specific reason I moved out of both storage units we had rented. We now have a storage unit with another company, and will not be using uhaul in the future for our storage or moving needs after this experience.

The truck was clean. The heater stopped working on one of the coldest days in Minnesota. The associate we worked with was initially was really nice and helpful. But in the background the owner of the uhaul place, Lucy, was on the phone with someone and she was really rude and condescending. So I was 20 miles away and the heater stopped working. I tried calling 10 times and didn't get an answer. So instead of driving another 40 miles to return it. We toughed out because we are Minnesotan. I called another uhaul for help but they weren't able to help. They even tried to call. About an hour later. Lucy decided to call back. She answered the phone with, why are you calling my place 10 times? I said I'm having problems with the truck. She said well why didn't you return it. I said you never answered your phone so I couldn't ask you if you had a vehicle to swap out with. She said we are a uhaul of course we do. I said it's to late. I wasn't driving 60 miles. We started to load the truck and we are going to tough it out. She said well that's your choice, but I offered you to return it. So when we were done and returned it. I asked to talk to her to be compensated for the heater. She wasn't there and the worker said they don't compensate. I said ok and went about my way. On my drive home I got a call from Lucy and she was very snotty and rude to me. She said that I wasn't entitled to any compensation because she offered to swap out the truck. I said fine, it's done with and I'll move one. She said here's what I'll do. I'll take $30 off your bill for you. I said thank you that's nice of you. Well it was a nice gesture. But only a gesture. Never received a refund. Actually got charged more the next day for a dolly I used. Which is fine, I used it. But never a $30 refund. Won't use that location again only because of Lucy. You should read the google reviews about Lucy for the Blaine MN location.

I did an online reservation for the Circle Pines location and no one was there. Why would you have that as an option if the location was going to be closed? I had to call customer service so that they could reschedule my reservation for the Blaine location. After that, I had to drive another 20 minutes out to get to Blaine. During my drive, I got a text message confirming that I wouldn't be in contact with anyone due to covid, and that this would be an online check-in. The text also said to "call to confirm." I called, got put on hold for 10 minutes, then when someone answered, they said I have to check-in in person. So many different instructions, communication sucked, I had no clue what was going on the whole time because what it said online versus in my text messages vs in person was all different! Please get everything aligned before sending instructions!

I'm really impressed with how well the 6x12 enclosed trailer towed. It rode very nice and the automatic hydraulic surge breaks worked fantastic when the trailer was both full and empty, even on slippery Minnesota winter weather. I definitely recommend this trailer.

The reason it is a poor rating is because we retuned our truck at 12:15 pm had to be there by noon but because they had me calling around I didn't get it in right at noon. We were charged for another whole day because they didn't check my truck in until almost 3pm this was so bogus and I'm not happy about being over charged. If they could make it right I would give a different review but so far no one is working to resolve there mistake not mine!!!

trailer was returned 9 miles away to the wrong location and per rental agreement say will be charged a one way rental rate for this (fyi they charged almost $300.00 for this) but web site say its a $14 one way for the 9 mile trip.

I reserved a 26 ft truck and when I got there no 26 ft truck was available. They said I could drive 30 minutes away to get a 26 ft at another location. Unfortunately because of time restraints I could not take that offer. I ended up with a 20 ft truck and as I expected I was unable to get everything out of my storage unit because the truck was too small. I had to leave the remainder of my possessions at the storage unit and therefore I will be charged for another month's storage rent at a cost of $150. I doubt I will ever say a good word about u haul let alone use their services. Extremely disappointed!

When I picked up truck I was told that it was full of fuel and needed to be returned in the same condition (fuel level) I amassed a total of 42 miles and it took 8 gallons to fill it up. Either the “picked up” fuel level was skewed, or this particular 1/2 Ton Chevy gets 5 miles to the gallon…. You were kind enough to charge me for the 2 extra miles I put on the truck, but wanted no part of the $26.00 in fuel it took. Seems like very poor customer respect at some level. The employee's at pickup and drop off were reasonable but could not explain the 8 gallons of fuel needed.

I wish the price per mile was a bit lower in this economy & the fact that the big dummy in the White House - LETS GO BRANDON - has the gas price at a high not seen in a decade - LETS GO BRANDON - I spent $35 filling the tank for you. When returning equipment the sign says to stay with the vehicle and someone will come out. No one came out. We went inside to get someone, they then gave us the receipt and went over the vehicle when we were gone.

When I rented the U-Haul I was told that the Office would close at 7:00pm. I rushed to get back before 7:00pm and the doors were ðŸ"'. When I mentioned it to the service person another person intervened and stated that she has worked there 2 I years and it has always been 7:00pm.....what gives there ? Confused 😕; I know what happened to me.

We tried to pickup the truck using the mobile directions, but weren't told we needed to get verification from either another person or a passport until we got to the lot. We were lucky we could go inside as the store we open, but we would have been screwed if it was, say, 4am and we didn't have our passports and our places of employment weren't open to be called. Why do we need verification for a mobile pickup but not in person? Also this location didn't have any 17 foot trucks, which is what we booked. We were given a complimentary upgrade, which was nice, but wanted to let UHaul know their guaranteed booking process didn't work as advertised.

The whole phone check out process kid of sucked, to hard to navigate and I was at UHaul for almost a half hour before I was done. How is the better? The truck was good and the employee who checked it back in was very helpful so all was good except phone check out.

My only gripe is with the self-checkout experience via the app. Took longer than it should have due to a number of glitches. It wouldn't accept the back photo of my driver's license. After at least four failed attempts a customer service rep connected automatically to ask me to upload it again. They were able to approve it, but frustrating that it took that long. Other weird glitches/lost connections. Seems like app needs more work.

This was not the location I chose - it was much further from my house and I had to pay extra mileage due to this, as well as adjustments to my schedule for the extra time. The folks at this location were great, but I shouldn't have been penalized because Uhaul moved my pickup and drop off location.

I have used many different U-Haul locations and would rate the location at Hwy 65 Central Ave and 99th in Blaine under what seems to be new owners as possibly the best. I would recommend them to anyone! Would seem the new owners are a true "American Dream" story!

The trailer I used had sticks, and some grass/leaves in every corner. Pictures are junk and make the trailer appear in great condition. It is however beat up in every corner. After I got home I see these inaccurate pictures that I didn't agree with. Then upon return I'm asked to park the trailer back in its location. I said no, I need to talk about the crap in the trailer that was given to me as a “clean trailer”. The whole experience was bad, from someone who doesn't know how to direct customers to a trailer, to dirty equipment rented and passed off as clean and in good shape.

I was told that my things were not moved but yet the arm of my oversized recliner was broken and my antique table was broken in two. After removing everything I did see that there was somebody in the store still but doors were already locked so I couldn't tell them about my things being broken.

It may seem weird I would give a poor experience when all the bullet points say yes, but here is the deal, was the staff friendly, yes, but it took four people to get the simplest thing done, the first gentlemen was very friendly, but couldn't do one thing right, the second person helped him a little, then walked away leaving him once again to struggle, a third person joined the struggle, but he too left when things got too complicated, finally it took one young man to take over and complete the task of taking my online reservation to rent a storage and make it happen, but this poor soul was running the entire show at this facility, it was like he was the only person that could get anything done right. Even after he had completed my transaction, the card he gave me wouldn't open the gate, and I had to wait and additional 15 minutes just to interrupt the young man who was helping someone else and tell him my card wouldn't open the gate. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time I got there to the time I left for me to drop off an air compressor into storage. So painful.
