On 6/26/2019 after 2 hours of waiting we picked up a reserved truck. On the document a representative provided we noticed that a return location is the same as a pickup location. We said that we drop off the truck in Fort Lee, NJ, then I called and spent an hour and a half on the phone to explain that we will return the truck in Fort Lee, NJ. In a few days I received an invoice by the email with a double charge. Could you please reduce the amount to the original price of approximately $105-$150, as i had explained the drop off location needs to be changed. Thank You!

When I arrived I waited over 20 minutes in line to get to the desk. Once I was there the employee informed me that the 10' truck I had reserved was not available and all they had for me was a van. What is the point of making a reservation if the truck I reserved was unavailable? The employee was extremely unhelpful and told me he couldn't do anything for me so I could get out of line and call U-Haul customer service if I wanted to. I called and was on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up and just took the van. I was moving all of my stuff from Brooklyn to Queens last Sunday as I am in the middle of a divorce and the limited space in the van made the day so much harder than it would have been. Absolutely embarrassing lack of customer service. First and last time I use U-Haul.

I called UHAUL the week before I picked it up to change the drop off location that was literally around the corner from my apartment. When I picked it up the drop off location was not changed. And when I tried to drop it off at the location I wanted to they couldn't accommodate and I needed to take an Uber back from where they made me. I'm very disappointed with the lack of accommodation especially when I tried to change it well in advance.

First of all I scheduled a pick up for my uhaul at 7am at park slope location. The day before I get a email saying its changed to Bensonhurst for 9am pick. I scheduled my service elevator and move around this pickup. After calling the office and uhaul stating it would be a 10 minute hold I finally got transfered to a manager cell phone after the store didn't pickup and I was on hold for an hour. Finally after hours of arguing and multiple phone calls I was able to speak with a truck scheduler and even though they moved my uhaul location miles away (which with a baby, no car, and being in Brooklyn) I was able to get the uhaul changed to 7am. To make matters worse I was contacted Marisha who said I could save 250$ and have tolls paid for if I picked up a trailer in Chelsea manhattan. I agreed to do this and was given a confirmation email. After driving and hour and wasting gas and travel time to get to the uhaul Chelsea location the uhaul works looked me dumb founded and had no idea about a trailer and said there was not one at the location. My whole experience with uhaul was extremely frustrating. A lot of extra time was taken out of my life dealing with uhaul during this move.

The truck was okay, no problem. Wasn't the size ordered but was adequate for what we wanted to accomplish. The one problem I did have, I was unable to adjust the mirrors satisfactorily. Other than that the truck was fine. In the office there was only one woman there to assist costumers and the line was long.

Staff are great but overworked. Only one cashier open and a very long line up. She was quick and thorough, also very nice but there's just too many customers. Also, there's only one guy in the yard, very nice and courteous but also overworked. Only one driving trucks in and out of parking, installing trailers in a very busy location and cramped space. Please treat your employees better. They are hardworking and deserve better working conditions. Should be 2-3 cashier and 2-3 people in the yard. They need some rest from time to time or the work will likely kill them especially the guy in the yard.

Worst experience ever with U-Haul. First, they changed equipment location pick up because equipment at reserved location was not ready and promised me that all my reserved equipment will be available for pick up at other location that is 30 min drive away. At the second location (where they promised everything will be ready for me) only van I reserved was ready for pick up but they ran out of equipment I’ve reserved. Tried to call customer service, but after an hour of waiting on line to a customer service representative I hung up. Will never reserve U-Haul anything again.

I placed my reservation about a week in advance, ordered and paid for a mattress cover. When I arrived to pick up my truck and that mattress cover, there was no record of it being sold to me even though in my bank statement it reflected a charge from u-haul for the exact amount of the cover. It's not so much about the money as it is the principle. When I showed the employee my bank statement he shrugged his shoulders and looked down. So, in the end, I wound up paying twice for it because I needed it.

Have the gas tanks full at time of rental, and have the tank full on time of return. I left your lot with a 1/4 tank of gas, drove 10 miles, at the gas station Tried to put enough gas to return the gas gadge to 1/4, but it wouldn't register until it hit close to half tank of gas, so it cost me $19.00, the same as a 24 hour rental of the Van, :-/ not good.

The truck was in the very back. The employees were reluctant to help me find it. The furniture pads were not in the truck so I had to carry them across the lot on my own. I was there over 30 minutes before driving off, and it was supposed to be quick because I was using the app.

I rented a trailer, and returning was not what expected. I didn't think getting back to store after work hours that no-one would be there. And when dropping off the trailer there isn't a lock for it. Also the sign that says to return wasn't clear. It just mentioned 24 hours return, but wasn't clear that the 24 hours return mean, noone is there and the app is the way to return. When i was picking up trailer, the sales persons was helpful in helping me pick the right trailer, and i did save on cost. Also when returning i had a problem with the app and I called uhaul on the phone and spoke to someone who explained clearly what needed to get done to return the trailer and wasn't charged extra for being there after return time when using the app. All in all the trailer worked out for me. just needed a little more explanation of what to do for returning and knowing when store was closed.

Car was very clean, amazing condition. I have used U-Haul for several times for various reasons, because it is affordable. Nonetheless, my last experience was ok until I saw my fuel charges. I would appreciate if they are a bit careful when measuring the fuel and fees. It was over $40 extra charges and I had to call for a refund, case still pending for a resolution. after completing online pickup process via cellphone at the pickup site I was instructed to go straight to the counter, skip the line and show the completed pickup process in the phone and request keys. I was told by a tall African American male with a beard that it is not how it works and that I had to go to the back of the line. 20 minutes later I was helped by a very professional CSR who quickly printed my papers and gave me the keys as well as instructed me to come to her next time I online pickup. Clearly her male counterpart is not trained and is not a good representation of your company. To add insult to injury I returned the vehicle prior to my agreement time and followed all the checkout procedures as instructed including placing the keys in the drop box only to receive a phone call after leaving the site asking me where the keys are. After explaining that I checked out online I was informed that the process was for after hours. I am wondering why that process is available during business hours if it’s used for after hours. I was under the presumption that it was designed also for efficiency and to speed up pick up and return. I am truly unhappy with today’s experience and most likely will never return uhaul.

I would not recommend anyone to come here. I was charged $25 for damage coverage after I reserved a truck without it. They brought me into the store the morning of the rental and redid the reservation adding the protection without asking. Then store manager told me I should have looked at me receipt and would not refund me. Don’t come here they are deceptive and terrible customer service

I got attitude from check out personnel when I disputed fuel charge. I did 30 and change miles and put 2 gallons of gas literally 5 minutes before dropping the truck off. Should be more than enough, I showed the receipt to your staff but they argue with me that "it does not matter". Zero help, max attitude. I have better things to do with my time than arguing about $10 or so with somebody that is getting paid for helping customers and does exact opposite. Gas meters you have in these trucks are not that accurate anyway. Next time I'm just booking a van from enterprise especially that you can't really count on equipment that you book.

The moving pads I reserved were not in the truck. When I noticed, the Bensonhurst rep told be to tell the Binghamton rep when returning the truck that they were missing and that he would credit me there. When I got to Binghamton the rep there said I had to get the reimbursement from Bensonhurst. When I then called Binghamton today the refund was put through. Also, we were told that we had to stay off Parkways and the Brooklyn bridge. Standard GPS was frustrating because it kept steering us towards parkways. I discovered later that there are many free truck-specific GPS systems available. Perhaps this would be a good things to suggest to your customers?
