Couldn't use the app to return the truck it wouldn't recognize my contract number. I dropped the truck off at 8pm and turned in the keys and contract in the Dropbox. I called at 9:14am to ask for the receipt and was told the truck had not been checked in yet. They said they would send a message to the store and have them send me the receipt. I called back at 12:45pm and was told the same thing again. I asked how many times do they have to send messages to check in the truck, since this was the second time? I didn't receive my receipt until 3:41pm, this is ridiculous.

Took a long time to find my reservation and was told they didn't have my trailer even though I checked in on line. When I showed them uhaul website. Then they said they found me.

Cabin air fan only worked on high. Engine access bay was unmatched letting hot air and fumes into the cab. Drivers mirror was loose and had to be adjusted every 30 minutes But over all the truck performed well

Had read a few earlier reviews which led me to wonder what type of service I would receive. Needn't have concerned myself as the experience was great from getting info from the 800 # to the phone service from the dealer to the actual transaction. Worked ar a U-haul as a kid in college and things have really changed-all for the better. Relatively inexpensive way to move items and impressed with the equipment and the service in general. Highly recommended.

The wrong part was delivered the first time, so had to wait another week and was unable to take my bike on vacation with me as planned. It was very frustrating to not be able to reach the local dealer by phone, but always got the corporate phone tree. Very long lines at the dealership both times I was there. Big positive is that everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Engine light was on whole trip and with 104000 miles on the truck, the steering was loose. Had to fight it during the trip. Service/personnel were out standing in both pick up and drop off. Vehicle was very clean.

Have more accurate mileage readings on your contracts and don’t rely on customers to tell you when they’re wrong. I ended up paying for 32 miles I didn’t drive. Just because I didn’t notice YOUR mistake. Certainly learned mine.

I am a 76 y ar old great grandmother driving A 26 ft Truck with a 12 foot trailer from Bend, OR to Irvine, CA. I was given a truck with almost 170,000 miles on it. Seats torn, basically no storage behind the seats, X’s All over the exterior, a loud rattle from the dashboard AND A GAS GAUGE THAT DOES NOT WORK! All these issues combined resulted in a miserable trip. Then to add more trouble to my overall experience, I called my assigned drop off last night in Tustin to confirm only to arrive this morning & be told they have no room. They sent me to the Irvine only to be told the same thing. They sent me to Costa Mesa only to told they had not more. Thank goodness for an angel somewhere because after calling your main number, they accepted the truck & trailer.

I was checked in and waiting outside to pick up my trailer. Another customer drove in to drop off and was helped before me. I had to go up to the guy after and get help even though I was in eye contact and was holding my contract. It was slightly annoying but I wasn't in a rush. If I was in a rush and this happened I would have been mad. Review would have been much worse.

I completed the mobile truck pick up but still had to go into the same area to pick up the key as the giant line of other customers waiting to complete their reservations. People were really unhappy when I went to the front of the line as instructed to just grab the key. I would recommend a different are, lock-box of some kind or at least some signage for the mobile pick up customers to get their key.

My reservation was at the Redmond location but I was told thatI could not take the trailer if I did not agree to have it back by 4pm They could have given me the unit and transferred one from Bend for the 4pm client but no. I was there at 8am and by the time I got a unit in Bend it was 1-1/2 hours later. Piss poor customer service

It would be nice if the installers included the ball mount so I would not have to go back to the office and get the ball mount and ball. Also it would be nice if they would take off the wrapper on the hitch. I would only recommend U Haul because of the hitch cost.

All staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Staff made return process very easy. They also had no issues with us returning the car transport trailer early. Since we are new to the area, we appreciated the staff making sure we had directions and new our way around town.

A regional manager needs to overhaul this location - trucks are NOT being maintained. Unhelpful non energetic employees. Sent me from OR to NC in a truck that shouldn't have been on the road. I called customer service and roadside assistance multiple times and never heard from regional manager!!!!

The one person I spoke with was nice, but the location seemed busy and short staffed overall. I was told where to find the truck in the lot and that was the end of my contact with the staff. I had to coordinate other customers vehicles out of my way so I could get the truck out. Some things weren't explained to me correctly either, and I was confused on how to drop off the truck when I reached my destination. There was also a switch to which truck was reserved to me, so that created some confusion on the back end when I was returning it. If I didn't reserve my truck ahead of time online and use my phone for the inspection I'd probably still be in that lot.

i picked up a trailer from this location and 5 hours after I had picked it up, they called and informed me that they had given me the wrong trailer and that the one they had given me had a bad tire on it. They asked me to bring it back but I had already loaded all my belongings into it. So I drove down to the location with the trailer and all my stuff to see what could be done. One of the employees asked if I had purchased roadside assistance and I told him yes. He then proceeded to tell me to just drive with the bad tire until it blows and then call roadside assistance. I was mind blown. I was driving over 200 miles and most of which there isn’t cell phone service. I was beyond upset that they would tell me to do this. After asking to speak to a manager they then gave me a spare tire and had me to to a local tire shop and have it taken care of myself. Something that I shouldn’t have had to do. Overall my experience was less than satisfactory and my life could have been put in danger had anything happened to the tire. Didn’t offer a discount or offer for me to keep the trailer longer or anything.

My comments here are more about UHaul and its maintenance of equipment than about the pickup location. The first truck I was given shook violently at all speeds on several different streets. The hand trucks/dollies and the blankets were not provided (I did not confirm they were included before leaving) -- this was a pickup location issue.) The truck body itself was quite damaged. I took that truck back for replacement and to get the pads/dollies that had been ordered. This replacement truck also shook though not quite as badly as the first. Both trucks behaved over small potholes/cracks as if their steering and front suspension was severely worn out. The second truck was also severely dented and scraped. The A/C did not work at all. I don't mean that it worked POORLY, I mean it provided ZERO COOLING, it blew air only at the outside temperature, without even the slightest cooling. This was for a cross-country move of 1100 miles in summer in the southwest. The driver side door did not fit against the truck cab -- sky was visible between door top and the cab. The appliance dolly was useless -- the lever that tightens the strap was bent so badly that it would not lock against the piece of metal that was supposed to hold it in place after tightening the strap; it just spun around 360 degrees and thus would not tighten the strap. The truck body leaned noticeably to the right. There appeared to be no anchor to fasten the passenger seat belt. Headlights were uselessly dim -- could not safely drive it before dawn -- and at least one was mis-aimed. The cover of one headlight was broken and most of it missing.

the customer service at this location is abysmal. a customer in front of me had arrived to get into his newly set-up storage container and was told he could not be helped because the rep, andrew, was not trained on how to rent storage containers. the customer insisted very politely that he needed help that day, that Teri had arranged it. it was a real mess that piled up the line behind him as there was no one else to help. the customer in front of me eventually was helped but only because a manager called in and coached andrew through every step. I found it very frustrating that there were not any employees to help at the time and that the managers had the day off, AND that the employees had no access to managers. When the guy from outside came in to assist the ever-growing line of customers, he had a very rudimentary understanding of the computer system, barely able to plod through the steps necessary to get through the process. I had filled out the needed forms on the Express Check-in page at U-haul, and foolishly felt that my time waiting would be cut in half. As i stood in line, i realized two things - first that if the people in front of me had not also done the Express check-in, I would be waiting just as long as if i had not. Second, despite my express check-in, if the STAFF was incompetent, filling out the forms was also an exercise in futility. When I returned the equipment, instead of waiting for help or no help to arrive, i simply detached the trailer and placed it in the stall myself, just to expedite matters. My time in the office yesterday was one hour, simply to rent a trailer, despite my best efforts at my end to reduce the amount of time spent in the office. I will be very hard pressed to use this office again, which disappoints me as i am a long time u-haul client.

Computer system down at pickup. Took 1 hour to pickup. 2 trailers were not functional, only the 3rd worked. Staff needed to do the paperwork manually and forgot to hand the rented 12 blankets. Contract did not list them. The receiving station however had them listed as rented.

Asked for 26 foot, then got a 20 foot. Returned the truck the same day although we had rental fro three days...unfortunately this didn't make a difference with price. I am sure that the truck did not sit on the lot for another 2 days.

Please install sand paper anti slip grip tape to all your trucks. I slipped and fell and hit my head outside my storage unit 130.. if i had been seriously injured I would have grounds for a lawsuit!!
