I had the BEST Customer experience with Miss Cali. She is an exceptional employee... professional and affable. I wanted to take her home with me as my daughter! All the paperwork was explained thoroughly and expeditiously. It was a grest experience and I left smiling after a challenging day of moving. Asking for a one day extension was a snap with her over the phone. I didn't catch the other two namea of the other two employees that were in the lot when I returned the car , but they salutrd my friend and I and when he said aloud"now the sign off", they overheard and said there was none and we could be on our way. All was a wonderful Customer Service experience, outstanding in today's moody world. I will always use this location and recommend it to everyone in Queens. Many thanks to all! my experience was terrible. rented a truck to pick up in manhasset and even confirm on phone w/guy there. when went there sunday 4/18 to get truck, place closed, didn't answer door or phone. called uhaul. they said now i had to go to bellrose for van which was totally out of my way. got there, then computers went down and was there 2 hrs (alison in office said system was down prev day also). alison had to do my reservation all over again on her cell. did my move, returned truck after 5pm. supposed to drop key in box AND return it using your return website app. didn't work. called mgr jasimine carter. she said to just drop off key. i was promised $50 credit when 1st had to go to bellrose and saw initial credit card charge to be $81, then it jumped to $153 and have been trying unsuccessfully with jasmine to get this corrected. she said she was out of office monday 4/26.my experince with uhaul was 100% terrible and i would not recommend them to anyone. i am also considering filing a complaint with better business bureau.Michael P.

I must say that Jasmine Carter was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. We had an issue with the van being parked in between other vehicles and we could not do the self check out. I call the 800 number and they were able to contact Jasmine(location manager), who then drove over to handle the situation. Being that the office was closed already we thought it would have have to wait until the next day. Needless to say we got the van with her help and was able to proceed with our moving adventure.Samantha R.
The staff were very unfriendly and there was no one when I visited the office. After waiting more than 30 minutes, the staff returned to the office and did not say sorry to everyone waiting. I paid about 80 dollars for 30 miles in advance, and the staff they would return the rest if i didn't take 30 miles, but the staff said I only had to return the key when I returned the car and charged an additional 200 dollars a few days later. I will call the bank and complain about the additional charges, and I hope other customers won't make the same inconvenience and misclaims as I do.DAUNEL A.

Everything was great with the exception of the truck overheating on my way back to my apartment to load it. Turns out there was zero antifreeze in it. I spent $15 and it took the whole container and thankfully the truck ran ok after that.Shawn C.

I was promised free storage for a month, and didn't receive it. and the U-HAUL facility on Rockbridge rd informed my daughter that there were no storage facility available for us on 3/20/21. so we went to the one AT, 2162 HEWATT RD . where the manager refuse to honor the one month free agreements we took the storage unit and leave the truck there. Why is it you can't get anyone on the phone when there is an emergency. let me see what is the solution you guys come up with ,before give you'll a bad reportOSWALDC C.
Things went well with the truck, however I was disappointed that accessories I reserved were not available (furniture pads) on the day I showed up and there was no accommodation made to make up for that. I also rented 12 plastic bins and they were absolutely filthy. They contained hair and dirt and one of the bins had a strange liquid in it. For the $50 rental fee and in consideration of the current pandemic we're experiencing, I expected clean bins. Dirty bins are an indication that Uhaul does not sanitize the bins after each rental despite information on your website stating that boxes are cleaned between rentals.AKASHA A.

I waited in the store for 2 hours watching 1 employee try to handle 1 problem after then next and training the other employee who was of little help at all. Despite this she went above and beyond for everyone but not a single person got what they had come in for including me as I had reserved a truck 2 1/2 weeks in advance to show up and be told I could only have a van after waiting the 2 hours. It was a horrible experience without your 1 employee taking in a tremendous burden and handling it with tact and grace this whole place would have been a let me speak to your manager mess of anger, instead everyone was very gracious as we all saw the unfair drama of the computer system overbooking the trucks. Then on top of it I was not given the $50 promised for not having the correct truck and was charged for an extra day even though I dropped the truck off before the required time.DANIELLE D.

I reserved a 10' truck the week before my move and coordinated the equipment pick up with my movers. I checked in online the day before to confirm my reservation. However when I got to the Uhaul location I was told that they had NO trucks. I had to pay my movers overtime because it took 2 hours to get a pickup truck from uhaul. and then I had to pay extra for mileage on multiple trips (all my things could have fit into a 10' truck). The manager at this location wasn't able to offer me any discounts or credit due to their negligence. My experience was terrible, and this location took monetary advantage of the situation without any sympathy towards the customer. I would never rent with Uhaul again. I will be going with a moving company that has their own equipment.Dyana P.

Firstly, I looked online and chose this location because of its "drive-up units". Then once I'm checked in, and ready to store my items, I come to find out that I can only drive my car until the gate, then I must unload onto a dolly, and walk my things to the storage unit. While the storage unit itself was clean, it was not what I expected. Secondly, the ramp (which is the only way to get your things up to the storage) is ridiculously skinny and is nearly impossible to make a u-turn to get back down the ramp. Thirdly, I was moving during December, the ramp and the walk-way around the storage facility was all snowy and icy.Jasmine P. | Overall Experience

The day of my move, the corridor light was broken and the movers had to work in darkness to move me out of 2 units. Kaitlynne was extremely helpful and attempted to fix the light but the problem appeared to be more extensive than just changing a few light bulbs. Kaitlynne informed me of the move out process, was always available, and made the process much less stressful. I got no help from the service. My Service person did not gave a tour of storage only stated it's on the other side of the building. Pick up your vehicle in row D and inspect it for damages before you leave. The entire right side top portion of truck broken and open from the front to the back ;with the upper signal light broken. I went back to the service person who was outside at the return vehicle station. I informed her that the truck was damaged and I need another truck. She replied, " I need to go home." "I closed out the register." It's 7:20 pm You closed" and I didn't have a truck to move ."we know the truck was damage ;you will not be charged for the damages." She refused to go to the office to give me another truck. why would you give me a damaged truck? I gave her the truck key and ask her to cancelled out the truck. I didn't pay to rent a broken truck. I lost money because of your company poor service of not proving me with a working truck. I had to pay the moving people who's was to load and unload the truck. I had the worst experience with your company's service personals. They both had attitudes and was not helpful in proving information or service. I used your company before and I have never had this poor service experience. The service person stated ,"she will cancelled out the truck rental and insurance for 8/18/20. "I will return the money to your card and send you a text message." The actual unit itself is good. The way to access the unit is horrible. Any unit that is on the roof, must be accessed by BACKING your vehicle UP a curved road. This is very dangerous. Also if one vehicle is backed up the road, you must wait until they are done, and then you can access your unit with your vehicle. UHAUL must reconstruct this area. And if the gate sensor doesn't have anything in its view, the gate will close, and even if it hits an object it doesn't stop, it continues to close. Great experience , excellent staff. Only negative would be the lighting in the storage area.... the timer should be adjusted because they keep going off while trying to move things.
