I would not recommend U-Haul based off of the customer support. The pick up at the location was good and staff friendly. Where the issue lies was with my experience with the after hours support. I called in to confirm my drop off was successful as the app did not confirm the rental process had been complete after processing my payment. So I decided to call the 1800 number to confirm. I was advised there was a 45 minute wait. No big deal I set a call back for when it was my turn. Fast forward to about an hour later I get a call from U-Haul and I am told I am next in line. Excellent! or maybe notâ€¦. After now waiting an additional 25+ minutes on hold I hear a person on the other line say hello. Before I can even say hello the line disconnects. So I call back and waited on hold for another 55 minutes for someone to not even say hello but hang up the phone. All just to confirm my rental was checked back in.FELICIA NICOLE S.

Ladies at this location were very helpful and eased my piece of mind for moving which started out a bit stressful. First rate failure by this business starting with staff using a personal cell phone to take pictures of my drivers license. I can understand the need for proof of a license, but using a personal cell which up loads to "the cloud" is not a secure method of identify protection. As for Interior of "clean truck", my rental had dirty Kleenex on floor. I highly suspect any COVID protocols in use at this location.. The young lady there was helpful however the senior lady was very rude to me. When I went back to ask a query the young lady was attending another customer so she asked the Sr lady to help me to which the Sr lady replied. "That's OK let him wait". She was doing nothing but still refused to help me. When I asked for help learning how to shut the truck shutters, the Sr lady Shouted at me and scolded me that I should've red the instructions first. We had reserved a Furniture Dolly with our 10' truck. When we arrived at the location we were told that this location does not actually have Furniture Dollies, even though it was confirmed in our reservation. We were also told they don't check the reservations to make sure they have what is reserved. We were even told that there actually some sizes of trucks that it will let you reserve online that they don't even have. They blamed it on the computer system being in the U.S. and there is nothing they can do about it and they are just employees. We had a very difficult time with our move without the Furniture Dolly. You can do better U-Haul. This is an easy fix. Either give the locations the equipment that is available to be booked, or take the equipment off the reservation system, or get the employees to check the reservations once they are made to ensure they will have the equipment that is booked. Any time we went in they were just sitting around doing nothing. There's not that many trucks going in and out each day, surely they have time to check the reservation. Moving is stressful enough as it is without the added stress of these issues at your end. Also it should have been made more clear that 10' trucks do not have a ramp. And the location refused to do anything for me, I paid full price for my rental and supplies. I'm very unhappy and will not recommend U-Haul. Feel free to contact me to discuss.CRAIG J B.

The cab of the pick up truck had gravel all through it. I couldn't lay my furniture down how I wanted as it would have scratched it. I almost had to make 2 trips. Also the mileage was wrong. I know the tank was just full enough to count as full vs really filled up. When I started the needle was pointing at the full indicator and not one smidgen above it so the point is hard to argue at pickup. I drove 72Km and really filled the van up for 22+ litres about 5 minutes away from my return location. So...unless your vans have really sucky fuel economy at 30litre/100km or only 9gal/mile, I am going to suggest that my rental van was not really full and I do feel ripped off. In the future, I will ensure I only put in enough gas to meet the full line and not a drop more.MARK LINDSAY R.
