The air conditioner did not work!!! We drove almost 900 miles a couple of days that the temperature was in the high 80’s - low 90’s!!! It was miserable!! When we turned in our truck, the guy said we needed to check with the renal place in Oregon about getting a credit! When we went into the Lake Oswego office Saturday to talked to them, the general manager said he’d check into it and get back to us. He thought he had already spoken to us about the air conditioner and already given us a $300 credit but apparently it was another customer who had air conditioning problems with their truck rental! We are still waiting to hear back!

Truck was pretty banged up when we got it and the check engine light was on.

The customer service provided by employee “MJS” was poor. She charged me 6 furniture pads I did not ask for nor receive. She connected auto transport but did not offer information as to how to load and strap vehicle with out being asked. Her attitude was “ there it is” and walked off, but I stopped her and then information was not provided friendly and professionally. I had to add 2 quarts of oil after driving approx 225 miles at a cost of $15.00. I was not informed to keep receipts for reimbursement, not until I reached my destination did I find this out. The knob on the drivers side window handle came off in my hand when I went to roll it down as I was driving down the freeway, this could have proved to be hazardous.

I was overcharged. The stated rate was $29.95/day and I got the vehicle back to the facility before midnight, but I was charged for two days. I got no response when I questioned the charge on your website. I will be looking for other options the next time I need a truck rental.

The mobile app is horrible! We had to search the lot for our truck for 30 minutes and then still had to go in for the key. It advertised "Skip the Line" and we still had to wait in line. They couldn't find the keys, we had to get another truck and the truck had less gas than what they reported. We also said we wanted to return it in VANCOUVER, WA. It listed an address that matched a street in Vancouver. When we went to return it, it was a street of the same name but in Portland OR. Ugh! And we couldn't return it until we talked to the scheduling office the next day. Terrible experience!

I had to wait for a while with no one coming to help me--they were busy with three trucks pulled in just in front of me. Finally, after about 10 minutes, I got out and walked around looking for someone. A latino person waved at me but I wasn't sure what he meant; I followed a short distance until he turned around, noticed I wasn't driving around, and waved at me again. Better communication and quick response to people just driving up would be appreciated.

I did the reservation online and showed up on time, the truck wasn't ready until 15 minutes later (after I checked in). The mileage on the truck was incorrect, people who work in this location aren't very happy and it affects how they treat customers.

Poor communication. Misleading on towing and not having a hitch to tow with, 25.00 extra! Waiting 35 minutes in line to return the truck to find out it's taken care of by an employee outside, and no need to wait in line. Overall we spent more then an hour in line. More complaints but I don't want to waste anymore time on this.

What's the point of doing the online checkout only to have to repeat everything again once you finally make it to the front counter. Which took 25 minutes, with only two people in front of me. People that mashed reservations should get priority over walk-ins.

Express pick up is a joke. Took almost an hour due to waiting in line behind others. Then when my turn at the counter the outside guy says he is too busy to do a hook up. Thankfully the counter gal came out to do the hook up. This however left others waiting in line. Maybe express could only deal with yard employees and a hand held to avoid lines? Otherwise, there are fainter places I can rent from with similar prices and equipment.

I did not rent the dolly/hand truck, as I had access to one my dad gave me. However, I was still charged $28 rental fee. I did not break the zip tie affixing the uHaul company dolly to the truck, and assumed this would prove verification I didn't use it. Upon turning in my truck, the uHaul associate assured me that they would complete my check in and I could leave. I was disappointed that I was charged for something I did not utiluze and would've stuck around had I known.

The horribly long wait was annoying. Then to have the van I was renting to be blocked by several returned vehicles. Maybe next time your staff should verify how many returns are sitting on the lot waiting to be processed...I couldn’t move the van I rented for a long time. It was annoying to be sitting there waiting for return vehicles to be moved. Plus the wait for 45 minutes to be helped inside the store. Annoying has hell.

I had a problem with the check in thru the app. There were repeated requests for my selfie. I had to send 3 before it was accepted. Was told that my alternative contact number was not a good number even after calling it and telling my roommate that they would be calling him. It was rather frustrating but managed to get through it.

It was a 45 minute wait just to get to the front counter. Once at the counter, the owner informed me that corporate had cancelled my reservation and he did NOT have my reservation of a 26 ft. enclosed truck. Two days prior, I had received a call from corporate confirming my truck for 6/27. I informed them that it is the wrong date as I had booked 6/28 for pickup at 5:00 PM. I was crystal clear and I didn't get the key's to my new house until the 28th (45 day closing and the date was set). I confirmed that I would still have my rental and corporate informed me that they changed it to the 28th. However, when I showed up to pick up my truck, the notes in the computer said the 28th but corporate cancelled my reservation. Your mistake cost me two additional trips in my truck and an entire day of driving to get my remaining items as you only had a 20 foot truck available with no trailers. I will never give you another dime as this experience was miserable. You guys need to get your act together!

Way too crowded. Not enough parking for customers or for the trucks and trailers. Very conveniently located, but sheesh if you can't park it's hard to do business. Plus we went at our scheduled time and there was a long line and only a couple people handling them. We left and came back 45 minutes later. Same long line. Took an hour to get our truck.

Only problem was that there is insufficient parking in the area for my car while I use the rental truck. I had to walk nearly 1/2 mile from the only parking place I could find to the rental agency.

I have yet to receive a receipt by email. I did not get one on paper. This is the first time I have never received a receipt. I did all of the reservation and check-out electronically but someone there checked me in. He said he sent it but no receipt...

Used App. Couldn't find my truck. Found another truck. Went to the counter to get my keys. They couldn't find the keys. Waited 15 minutes. Finally, they gave me another truck...got there at 10:50 and left at 11:30.

We used the 24/7 feature but the front lot did not have my assigned truck in it or any of the next 5 truck numbers I was assigned when I hit “Cant find my truck” on the app. The staff let me know they were supposed to have brought the truck from their back lot to the front lot but that it didn’t happen. Bit of a time waste on a busy day.

I ordered the uhaul at one location but when I went to pick it up, the location had changed and nothing notified me. I drove to the new location and there were no trucks for me. I spent over an hour trying to find a truck and none of the staff was helping. There were tons of staff roaming the lot but none helped. One refused to talk to me but did talk to my boyfriend. None could talk to me, a woman, but my boyfriend is not the one who ordered the truck or had the answers to their questions. I couldn't get my truck on time which meant it was eating into my rental time. When someone finally found a truck for me, it was filthy. An employee had to clean it and had to take a couple trips to the garbage with junk and wiped it all down. The back wasn't even unloaded with leftover junk either. I had to wait even longer causing me to miss my move in meeting with management. It was all very upsetting and no one cared even an ounce. It was my first time renting a uhaul and if anyone needs advice, I'd suggest avoiding the whole company altogether. I found Budget trucks are far friendlier, helpful, and much cheaper.

I used the mobile app to check out the vehicle. After locating the correct vehicle the app asked me 4 times to re-scan my Driver license. While I was doing this another customer came to the same truck and told me he had just rented this exact same truck. Same ID and everything. When we confronted a Uhaul employee he was rude and told me it was the other guy’s truck and that I should go inside and wait in line. The line was out the door. At least 30 People in it. I waited in the line 45 minutes on hold with customer service on my cell phone. The line never moved and customer service didn’t pick up after 45 minutes on hold. At this point I got so frustrated and left and found another Uhaul location 12 miles away. They had no vehicles until 4 hours later and said that the entire city of Portland was sold out of rentals. I eventually rented from this other location - Beaverton. All my movers had to be let go and rehired 4 hours later. This was the worst experience at Uhaul I’ve ever had.

Don’t use this Uhaul location unless you have all day to sit in their parking lot! Stood in line an hour to pick up my truck. Upon dropping it off we had asked another customer to let us pull out and a uhaul worker ran up and made the the other customer pull back in front of us while they checked in two more returns, like once they took my money they didn’t give a hoot about customer service. Poorest customer service I’ve seen in years!

personnel who hooked up the trailer to my car had an attitude problem where he did the bare bones minimum to help. He was aloof when I asked a question about what he just said. I had to figure out the on-line picture verification process myself while he just walked away before I had finished the process. When I returned the trailer (same day), a different employee treated in a similar manner. I couldn't wait to be done with the process and just leave the store. Seeing a similar aloofness and minimal customer help/caring, I must conclude that this is a pervasive employee problem at this location whose tone is set from top management down to the employees. The equipment was fine. It's the customer experience that needs improvement.

take all of your current policies and toss them out. rethink your business model starting with, what would I want if I was a customer. why have people pre-checkout online when it does nothing to improve the checkout process. why give customers utility dollies when they ordered and reserved furniture dollies. Why send your customers half way across town to another dealership that does not have the equipment you reserved. Frankly, U-HAUL SUCKS.

Feedback: 1. Not enough counter help in your office. 2. Counter help doesn’t explain new procedures for phone use, doesn’t seem to value personal service 3. Text messaging doesn’t work very well, attempts to use it result in a message which says time allotment is over. 4. Your lot is too crowded, very limited customer parking & lanes filled with returns lined up outside of the lot. 5. If UHaul is eliminating all personal counter service then just go to a system whereby the truck is delivered to customer at home.

Wait times can be long. Especially for trailers, it took 30 minutes to completion. Clerk was thorough, no fault of theirs. Maybe a kiosk for trailers. The system they use could be improved; it's crashed/had errrors before when I have rented from this location. Make it more streamlined.

guy at the counter with the tag owner, assistant manager, etc was odd - wasn't interested in answering my questions, only driving his own process - sent us outside to wait - we flagged down someone to help. other than that it was easy peasy, i'll rent there again.

More customer service representatives. The lines can get long and the process slow. The online truck checkout, where you take pics of any damages in the vehicle, was not intuitive and ended up not functioning. Everyone was courteous and made sure we were taken care of. It was nice to hear “drive safely” and “Have a nice trip” when we left.

Fix the back door on the truck. It kept getting stuck in the open position. The location needs more staff. - 8 to 10 people in line. One person at the desk. When moving you need faster service.

When we dropped off the trailer it was on a Sunday night. The lot was overflowing with equipment/trucks we didn't know where to drop off the trailer, and the signage was not enough in that circumstance.

When we rented out trailers (2 of them from the same location at the same time under 2 names) we said we would be returning them to the location in the town we were going to. That wasn’t an issue at the time of pickup, nothing was said about not being able to pick our drop off location. When we arrived at the location to drop off out trailers ( that was close to our home) we started the drop off process on the website. We were never informed that we needed a smartphone in order to process our returns. As we are trying to return the trailers we are being told that we need to drop them off at two different locations none of which are the closest to our address. I called customer service and was on hold for over 22 minutes before I was able to speak to someone. She informed me we had to return them to the locations it was telling us to go to or we would be changed hundreds of dollars for dropping them off at the location we requested. She wouldn’t/ couldn’t change the drop off sites for us. One location was almost an hour round trip out of our way. We have never been told you have to drop off at a special place all the times we’ve rented from Uhaul.

Each and every employee at this location was absolutely awful. I saw and heard one tell an elderly person the she was “shit out of luck” if she wouldn’t agree to giving an extra contact. She wasn’t even complaining, she was just concerned that the website didn’t state it. They were impatient and rude, with every single customer! Disorganized and god awful. I asked for help getting a truck out because it was too close to another truck and the guy told me it didn’t matter if I hit the truck and to just do it. I had to have a customer stand behind and lead me out so I didn’t hit anything. I don’t complain much, but this freaking sucked.

My conversation later with the manager was equally unsatisfactory - I don't believe he was even hearing what I was saying. Very frustrating experience at Beaverton store.

Experience was awful, nothing was available for the first two days except for an hour away, by the time I was able to go get my trailer i was notified at last minute that trailer had been reserved a week prior. I had to find something else. I found something but nit the size I needed, so I was eventually given an extra day at no charge. Went to return my rental and even with the return date and time in hand and proof that it was free of charge the assistant manager insisted on arguing with me that it would never be free of charge and still charged me. Worst experience ever only at this location !

i HAD CALLED AND RENTED THE TRUCK FROM THE 800 NUMBER AND PUT THE TRUCK IN MY SON IN LAWS NAME AND PAID FOR IT MYSELF. HE WAS IN UTAH AND WE WERE MOVING HIM. HE IS GETTING REIMBURSED FROM THE BLM. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS OK TO HAVE IT IN HIS NAME AND EVERY TIME I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS FINE. i EVEN ASKED THE UHAUL DEALERS IN GRANTS PASS OR AND THEY SAID IT WAS FINE, BUT WHEN WE GOT TO THE BEAVERTON LOCATION WE HAD TO DO THE RENTAL ALL OVER AGAIN BECAUSE THEY SAID IT COULD NOT BE IN HIS NAME JUST MINE. NOW WE DON'T KNOW IF THE BLM WILL REIMBURSE US THE MOVING EXPENSES.

The apps sucks. I made a reservation to pick up truck closer to my appt so I assume I'll be picking it up there. When I went to pick it up, was not able to pick up the truck there so I ended up going to the store instead. The guy who had helped that morning told me that, it's only a first can per serve thing. That would've been nice to know before I wasted an hr of my rental time. But the guy who had helped me to get my truck was very friendly & had helped me to get my rental as soon as possible. I've always rented truck from this location & never had a bad experience. I hope they continue giving the good customer service as it's always have been, at least for me.

The rental location was terribly understaffed both when I picked up the trailer and when I dropped it off. The employees were doing the best they could, but the lines were long and the service was terrible. I wish there was some other dealer around, UHaul would go out of business if you had even a mediocre competitor. But you have the monopoly, so customer service is not a factor, and it shows.

Waiting over 45 minutes to get my truck in line then waiting another 20 minutes for the 26 foot truck to be brought from the back. Also on my contract stated the truck was completely filled with gas but once I left the facility I noticed the truck was actually less than 3/4 filled. Me and my wife have rented probably 8 times in the past 5 years.

They put a person on customer service desk that doesn't normally do trailers. My process took between 1 to 1/2 hours to complete my order. We did my order and printer didn't work. Then I had to re-do order on another register. It seems that several times I rent there they need more help at counter Suggestion Schedule more help at counters!!!!

The person checking me in was clearly very inexperienced and slow. She had to take photos of my license four times, told me to park in the corral and when I went there they told me I couldn’t park there and then I went to pick up my van and she rented me the wrong size van. This process ended up taking almost an hour to rent a small van and was extremely frustrating. Also when I went to turn in the vehicle I was charged a significant amount for gas. The person checking me in should have explained that I needed to fill the gas back up or I would be charged significantly over standard gas rates. She made no explanation of the contract When she checked me in.

The 1st vehicle I was given showed the wrong fuel level and mileage from what was listed on the contract. When I got the vehicle home I discovered a Uhaul padlock in place in locked position on the back door. Turned out it had packages inside and shouldn't have been available to rent. That said, the next vehicle I was given to replace it was in great shape with everything correct on the contract. Overall service was good with a very easy return process.

Ordered equipment needs to be ready for pickup. If they don't have the reserved equipment, should get more than a five minute notice that they don't have it. It took an hour to get the ordered equipment.

Was called multiple times about the trailer I rented not being turned in the fallowing day. Even though I returned it just 2 hours after I rented it. Thankfully I was not charged for an extra entire day. I am disappointed with their lack of communication and thoroughness.
