I used this storage unit for almost 5 years and was located in New York. The entire time I had this unit in Michigan my belongings were kept safe and unharmed. They did a great job working with me over the years, whether it was for a delay of payment or switching payment days. They are wonderful people!! Thank you!!

The young lady that rent it us the truck and we also got a storage man did not explain to my husband that all he needed was his credit card to put a deposit down on it for the truck then we had to deliver the truck to Marshall only to find out they wouldn’t give us our deposit back because they don’t take cash. It was just a big mess. The whole thing was just ridiculous, I spent my whole day driving to a whole Nother city just to drop the car off only to have to turn around and bring it back to Battle Creek. It was just ridiculous. I’m hoping that maybe that somebody can offer me some kind of compensation like we did rent storage space, so maybe they can compensate us for a month free of storage because we spent most of our day, ripping and running around and from one location together to get our deposit back , if you need to call me my number is 269-245-6085. Why was I not told about this when I received my 1st customer service call changing my pic-up location? This location was just over 40 miles round trip away from my original requested drop off location. And yes, I received an additional day. Moving is hard enough but without any warning of the additional time gas and added cost associated with finding someone to care for my handicaped Husband in a new area, I was very unhappy about this location debacle.

Robert SmithI rented this truck for 24 hours and was charged almost $100. My car was stolen, which is why I had to rent the uhaul. I didn't have time to stop to fill up the gas tank because my ride was waiting to pick me up. The gas gage barely moved so I figured it would cost me at most an extra $10 for fuel at uhaul's price of $5.25. When they email me the receipt it showed I was charged for 6 gallons. I only drove 56 miles so by their math, this brand new pickup truck only gets 9 miles per gallon. I also kept track of my mileage and only drove 48 miles. So they lied about the mileage and charge .69 cents per mile. This advertised $20 per day rental cost me almost $100. It is hard enough trying to save up for vehicle. I'm tired of companies taking advantage of people like this. I'm actually being pretty nice in my comment compared to how upset I am. I will never use uhaul for anything again. I have a friend who thought I was getting a good rate so she was planning on renting a truck and trailer for a large project she has coming up. When I tell her how I was treated, I guarantee she won't be using uhaul. I plan on making others aware of these shady practices as well.

Harrison Lemon | Overall ExperienceI would love to comment the who’s what’s and when’s but last time I reached out for being treated poorly and harassed by a employee whom ever in higher up told her I complained so I was harassed again i called again on a complaint after I was contacted by this employee and said I was not comfortable that they said who’s name etc then they told her for the second time and agian I was harassed I have saved the messages left not sure which way I am going to go with it this is a violation of privacy law. Before this particular situation I only have complaints I couldn’t use storage 24hours a day and when my storage unit somehow got infested with stink bugs nobody helped make it right of provided any solutions they just ignored it. I have. been a life long customer I’ll refer people but tell them to be aware of this employee and the issues it caused myself. Thank you this has altered me from using U-Haul for moving needs

She even commented about my terrible experience with movers on her report to U-Haul. Today Rachel worked with me to get 2nd rental unit and was just as sweet and awesome. Very professional as well. I am a disabled retired senior citizen. I unfortunately was still so over exhausted from yesterday's ordeal with movers and not tested and had to help unload rest of truck items today, I was loading a dolly and fell. I have a physical disability and I really should not be lifting or anything but my son in law and I were all we had this morning and he has physical limitations too. I'm in pain from today's fall at your location. But I'm really terribly upset more about the movers U-Haul found for me. It was such a horrible time and unsafe and premeditated scam on the moving guys part. I am submitting a full report to that company and requesting/ demanding a refund. Even U-Haul person at your facility suggested I ask for refund. Please do not allow those particular movers to do this to anyone again. But your team at the actual facility were great. Thank you

Zac brushed our situation off after I told him the unit was locked.Me and my husband drove around back to the office only to be told no one was available to open the unit. Finally, a severely obese man admitted he didn't want to walk down and so my husband gave him a ride in the truck that we had rented from you. It was the worst, most humiliating and indifferent experience, and all of our furniture was soaked and is probably damaged now. I will be looking for a solution to storing my family's things. I tried to call Uhal 3 times and never got through.

The only thing that would give me pause to use this facility again is the fact that a local number is listed, but I was never able to actually reach local staff directly because everything is routed through corporate which was very frustrating.

Carla Williams | First ImpressionsThe Manager is very disrespectful. And had a unfortunate Family issue . But used it to poor communication skills . I personally was in the store with one other employee of hers the lady asked should I answer that she said No let call center pick it up . Talk to several people from corporate office like a Mr John Gilmore. Yet have heard from him as well . My mother had handicapped items that she needed coming home 4/11/20 . We paid as what was requested but Manager put a lock on the door . She also failed to give me a copy of agreement. So we go back Sat morning to see what happen and She said you was supposed have everything out by 8 last night . I apologize and ask is there anyway I can get my mother's items she had no problem saying No bluntly . A Lady from customer service spoke to my mother and said she called the manager and she refused to even after her request . And was shocked that such CoWorker would represent the uhaul company . So beware of this place because Corp tells you that the Manager of location makes final decisions on to make changes . So if you want to see uhaul corporate greed from G.M. her name Is Frasica Riley . It really makes me wonder on how many other people she has done this too . Looking forward to Channel 3 News getting ahold of me as well . I know for a fact they contacted me quicker then she did .
