Zachary was fantastic to deal with and very helpful. When we had trouble with the cargo door near the end, U-Haul customer service was great to help us and sent assistance. My wife loved that the first question asked was if our family was safe and okay. The customer service representative followed up later to make sure the problem was resolved. When I show up at a location where I reserved a truck I expect to be able to pick up the truck at that site. Don't change the reservation without notifying me. I had texts I had emails mails from uhaul cofirming my original reservation on LOWELL Michigan, not GRAND RAPIDS. My reservation was changed and I didn't have any communication from uhaul Is stating that it had been moved to another location, 18 miles away, on snowing wet roads. I understand that all businesses are busy. And I can understand longer lines or waiting on the phone longer. But I dont understand how you can change the plans impacting my ENTIRE day, without notifying me. I was at the Lowell location before they opened. I could have been driving to Grand Rapids during that time. My help for loading had to wait for me because of the delay and we didnt get as much done as planned. As of right now, I do not plan to use uhaul again.LENNIE DEAN W.

The facility itself was great! Everything very convenient and easy to use and well located. Plus the staff is truly exceptional. It really was a pleasure to deal with them! There was so many people trying to help everything was a shot show they over charged after one lady told me it was 19.99 a day and .59 cents a mile then I put a 100$ cash deposit was told at drop off it's .79 per mile i some how ended up owing more on top of the 100 deposit and I drops 36 miles and took pics Pedro's and after they told me I was wrong even showing the pic. I requested a pick-up truck from this the Lovers Lane location in Portage and was promised one would be there by a Uhaul reservation manager named Steve. I received a call maybe an hour or two before the reservation time from a lady stating that they did not have one available at that location and asked if a 10' box truck would work. I told her that I had to haul a camper and that it had to have a tow receiver. She said it did which it did not. I had a permanently mounted 2" ball which would not work. She then told me that the closest location to me would be Battle Creek. I ended up going to Battle Creek to pick it up but Uhaul is still charging me for the mileage which was not used for my purpose as they were supposed to have one in my hometown. I was told that there would be a $50 credit which I never received. When I dropped of the truck I explained all of this to the employee and he said he would have the manager call me the next day. NEVER DID. I received the worst customer service I have ever received from anywhere. This will not happen again. My business will go elsewhere. Now about 6 weeks later, they unexpectedly took almost $300 out of my account when the original bill was to be around $130. Tell me how this adds up. Uhaul is a joke and has been screwing people over. DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL LOCATION OR ANY FOR THAT MATTER.matthew R.

They said they wouldn't reimburse anything Told us we could file a complaint with their liability company. The people in the store were good and friendly, service a quick, I was in and out. While they have a lot of newer excellent trucks, the 26' truck that I received was in pretty rough shape with lots of marked damage. There was damage to the rear drivers corner where part of the roof appeared to have been peeled back. I disputed the condition through the online for that uhaul sent and uploaded photos. I figured it would be fine as I did not think they would rent out a truck with issues. After loading some stuff in the truck I locked it up for the night. In the morning I discovered that the roof along the driver's side of the cargo area had leaked through the night, there were puddles on the floor, on the totes that were on that side, and the over cab storage ledge as well. Some of my stuff was soaked, luckily I hadn't put anything in there yet that would be ruined by water. After drying the floor so nobody slipped and cleaning the water as much as I could from my stuff we loaded up the rest of the way, moved, and unloaded. When I returned the truck I informed the guy doing intake of the issue. He asked a few questions and then was dismissive of my concerns after leaving nothing was ruined and nobody was hurt. He said he'd let his boss know and have the guys check out the damage. He said they would keep the hold longer until the process was finished. I left feeling that the situation wasn't resolved and am a little concerned nothing will be done.RYAN DEAN L.

This Battle Creek (Beckley Rd) location is the best! I have never had an issue with anything I have rented from there and the entire staff is great! If you have to rent equipment I highly recommend this location for any Uhaul need.Paul S.

This is the second time that I have ever used Uhaul. The first time, they accidentally overbooked my reservation and gave the truck to someone else, causing me to have to drive to a separate location for one (and wasting an hour of my time on moving day). This weekend was the second time â€" they didn't prepare the truck for us in time and the pickup location was closed, so again, we had to go to a completely separate location and waste 45 minutes of our time to get a new vehicle. I am VERY unsatisfied with Uhaul's customer service and inability to simply provide the vehicles that their customers reserve.KAITLYN MARIE F.

They couldn't find are info. They though we had storage locker and not trailer. The Equipment was crappy I wondered the trailers we end up upgrading costs more money cause the trailer that we wanted it was not set the right way and the person that was installing the trailer didn't have a clue what he was doing. I am not sure if we even got a discount for what had happened yet. We had to upgrade a trailer to get a better 1 there 1 that would fit our ball on our car because the other one didn't work that we wanted to receive.andrea R.
Your phone in service sucked. On hold for over an hour. Pretty sure I was just set out to dry. Never did get my U haul from the original place. Went to Beckley Rd location. Talked to Zach. That guys needs a raise. He was dealing with two people at a time and never missed a beat. He knew every part of everything. He knew every word of all the contracts. He was beyond helpful. This was by far one of the worst experiences of customer service I've ever received. The staff was rude and unhelpful and me and my family waited in the rain for 45 minutes for someone to bring us the key to unlock an outside storage. Zac brushed our situation off after I told him the unit was locked.Me and my husband drove around back to the office only to be told no one was available to open the unit. Finally, a severely obese man admitted he didn't want to walk down and so my husband gave him a ride in the truck that we had rented from you. It was the worst, most humiliating and indifferent experience, and all of our furniture was soaked and is probably damaged now. I will be looking for a solution to storing my family's things.
