This is the second time that I have ever used Uhaul. The first time, they accidentally overbooked my reservation and gave the truck to someone else, causing me to have to drive to a separate location for one (and wasting an hour of my time on moving day). This weekend was the second time â€" they didn't prepare the truck for us in time and the pickup location was closed, so again, we had to go to a completely separate location and waste 45 minutes of our time to get a new vehicle. I am VERY unsatisfied with Uhaul's customer service and inability to simply provide the vehicles that their customers reserve.KAITLYN MARIE F.

They couldn't find are info. They though we had storage locker and not trailer. The Equipment was crappy I wondered the trailers we end up upgrading costs more money cause the trailer that we wanted it was not set the right way and the person that was installing the trailer didn't have a clue what he was doing. I am not sure if we even got a discount for what had happened yet. We had to upgrade a trailer to get a better 1 there 1 that would fit our ball on our car because the other one didn't work that we wanted to receive.andrea R.
Your phone in service sucked. On hold for over an hour. Pretty sure I was just set out to dry. Never did get my U haul from the original place. Went to Beckley Rd location. Talked to Zach. That guys needs a raise. He was dealing with two people at a time and never missed a beat. He knew every part of everything. He knew every word of all the contracts. He was beyond helpful. Make sure you do everything you can to keep him around. You very rarely find people that good.Richard G.

Absolutely not totally impressed as I’ve been finding mouse/rat feces in my belongings and have had to throw things away I do not have pictures didn’t know they would be needed not sure when the rodents became an issue there but my things were in a unit that was also climate controlled I still have more to go through so I will be taking pictures from this point forward overall I’m not happy about having to their things awayMonica C. | Overall Experience

They did not have a size U-Haul truck I requested. The day before moving, they sent me an email telling me I had to drive all the way to Kalamazoo to pick up a truck. When I finally arrange to have a truck larger than the one I requested at this location, they had nobody qualified to hook up the auto transport trailer.Keith T.

Please leave follow up notes in a notebook that all employees can look at with the date day, year and person name with as much as possible detail what the problem was or what considerations were given with name of who confirmed it. When the customer comes in it won't be we can not do that and I don't see a note. I had my situation written on back of scrap paper which I recognized and flipped over to show the customer service person I was not making it up. All the staff I encountered was helpful and friendly listened to my request and did my best to make it a smooth move. Because there is so many people working at Beckley that a central note book with promise of the day will be fulfilled when the person returns the to end transaction upon usage finish, there will be no problems.Yolanda W.

I reserved a storage unit too. however the size unit wasn't available but I got 2 small units equal in size to the one I reserved. I could not get confirmation on getting the original rate for the 2 small units. I hope they can confirm the original size rate being it was already reserved. Thanks !Omar P.

It was very busy when I went to return the vehicle. When I arrived, the only person working was outside helping someone hook up a trailer - which seemed to take a long time. In the meantime, there were two people inside waiting to be served inside ahead of me - one looking for a quote and one looking to rent a storage unit. It would have been helpful to have a second person to help out. However, probably due to covid, it is difficult to find people to work.SUSAN JANE A.
I rented a 10' truck and the gas was NOT on full when I got into the truck but I was charged to â€œtop offâ€ the tank while only using 1/16th of a tank. The cleaning spray was sprayed but never wiped so the steering wheel and dash was slippery and spotted with cleaner.Kaitlin A.

the guy that check me out was holding a personal conversation with his girlfriend that worked there. She said give me a kiss and they kissed. She explained a situation upset about the manager saying something before her shift. when i got in the van it was disinfectant wipe in the front seat. The van was returned i was charged a $7 for gas. I asked for a manager and the man said that he had not seen him in four hours. When I return the van it was on full but it was a little bit above the f but it was still full.Brittney D.

This location was fine. The experience overall was less than stellar. A text before rental day stating my equipment was in high demand - then nothing. Finally called and a much bigger truck was found at a different location. And the kicker - because this location was farther than the original- I ended up being charged for a mileage overage. Maybe the miles were calculated as the crow flies because that truck had no extra trips on its joirney.David A.

The locations for pick-up and drop-off were not the issue. The problem lies with the Uhaul schedulers. They change your reservation without any notification and it happened to me multiple times.Eric H.
Very unorganized! They didn't have my 10' reserved truck, so they changed it to a 20' without asking and then when I got there they only had a 26' truck. The 26' truck ran like dirt, so I ended up not being able to use any truck that day! I tried again later in the week by reserving a 15' truck, the rates had gone up for whatever reason, the truck had unmarked damage all about it and the cab at first appeared to be clean, but after my 30min inspecting and disputing, I was driving and realized the windshield had been wiped with a very wet cloth and left a foggy residue that made it dangerous to see. I stopped at the store and had to buy some cleaner just to clean my side of the windshield, the dash had been wiped with the same overly wet rag, but vision of the dash was only affected when the sunlight directly hit it. After all of that headache, I get a text saying the uhaul must be back by 4:30p the same day!!! Nothing I had been made aware of, why would anyone pay well over $100 in rental fees and $40 in gas for 5 hours of use, but I don't like trouble so I reached out through phone, but could not wait the 18mins on hold, so I messaged and never received a response other than the automated hello how are you text! This was a nightmare, on top of having to pack up my dead dad's house in a short 6 hours!! Never again!!TYLER G.

I was SO happy with this storage unit! Very well climate controlled, well lit, wide hallways, and not a bad price! I paid 125 a month for a huge unit WITH up to $5,000 insurance coverage! The best experience was with our call center agent, David, since the location we wanted did not have the trailer we wanted - he spent time finding a good location for us. Very helpful! This was by far one of the worst experiences of customer service I've ever received. The staff was rude and unhelpful and me and my family waited in the rain for 45 minutes for someone to bring us the key to unlock an outside storage. Zac brushed our situation off after I told him the unit was locked.Me and my husband drove around back to the office only to be told no one was available to open the unit. Finally, a severely obese man admitted he didn't want to walk down and so my husband gave him a ride in the truck that we had rented from you. It was the worst, most humiliating and indifferent experience, and all of our furniture was soaked and is probably damaged now. I will be looking for a solution to storing my family's things.
