Location and storage unit are great, clean, easy access. There were a few issues with initial storage unit quoted, changed unit without contacting me, price increase from the one originally quoted. Billing not updated to reflect agreement, all seems to be corrected now.

They over charge me . ..,I drive cross street less that a mile and they charge me 25 miles , I put gas and they charge me too , incompetent people
I realize that Saturday's are busy times and most of the staff were friendly, it seemed like you were understaffed at the front customer service counter. Regardless, I would still recommend friends to your business.
The staff has always been helpful and friendly. The location is convenient while the facility is cramped with very poor customer parking arrangements.
Better direction on location of rental. Spent 15 min. walking around the site in the rain with a dolly trying to find the rental. Reserved 12 furniture mats that were not with the truck. Charged for an appliance dolly that was never requested. Fortunately others providers exist.
Van had not been cleaned. Not a big deal but someone else might think it is.
Check in process was super easy. I was in and out of the store with my truck in less than 15 minutes. The young man who helped me that morning was super friendly, communicated well and was about his business which I loved. I noted he had excellent customer service skills with other customers as well. Bringing the truck back and requesting a storage space was the frustrating part. While the person who helped me was so nice and helped me get a unit fairly quickly however once a storage unit had been approved, another employee informed them that it was "taken". I later saw this was due to them giving the unit to a friend. They were saving it for them despite the computer saying it was available. The person who helped me then got me another unit. However upon arrival to that unit, a truck was parked out front and we could not open it. I called the front office and reached the employee I had been working with. They informed me that someone would be right there. My husband and I waited 20 minutes and no one arrived to remove the truck so we could open our storage unit. Next, I called the front office again. The employee informed me they were the only one in the office and would be asking a coworker if they could assist. Another 10 min passed and then someone arrived to remove the truck from in front of our unit. This was so frustrating as we had a an appointment we needed to be at. Overall our experience was ok. Checking the truck out was fine, and our interactions with employees was pleasant. The employees I personally dealt with were very knowledgeable about what they were doing, friendly and efficient. However the employees who I did not have direct interactions with were not. I even smelled marijuana on one of the employees (that did not help me) in the background. It was very strong
Employees are not correctly wearing masks and social distancing potentially exposing customers to covid.
The Truck needs maintenance. The engine was really struggling. There was a hole in the roll up door with a jagged edge. I cut my finger while opening the door. I did report the issue upon turning in the Truck.
Was in today on a Saturday 2/13 without a reservation. Young lady who helped me was on her first day. Great personality. Hope she stays that way. The gentleman that got my car was courteous and attentive. I'm sorry I don't remember their names. Good job.
Trailer fishtailed when loaded and was inoperable. Was unable to use trailer for move.
Staff were friendly and pick up was easy and quick. Only problem is that I rented a 12 foot trailer and with the small lanes/turns to navigate it out of the facility it was exceedingly challenging. If you don't tow a trailer regularly then I'd suggest bringing an experienced friend as it was nearly impossible for me to get out.
Dropped off after hours. After dropping the truck off, I was told I owed an additional roughly $59 dollars and some change. No clue what this would be for. I was expecting a call at some point today, 2/8/21 but I never got a call.
Only issue was I rented an open trailer 4 days in advance and was told the night before only a closed trailer was available. Luckily I was able to make due with a closed trailer but what if I wasn't able to use it. They should have known more than the night before the rental.

Truck was dirty when I picked it up. Truck ran well but only had about 6000 miles on it so to be expected. People who work here are very nice and I have rented from here in the past and will continue to do so.

Not the most convenient location. Granted they were busy. However, the lady receiving the truck was rude. Very small area for cars to wait to pick up their rental driver. A smile goes a long way sometimes. No need to be snippy.

Good Morning: The staff was very unprofessional and the customers time did not seem important at all. I will never go to this location ever again and if the checkout experience is going to take this long, they should put some vending machines inside for snacks and hydration. Disgusting experience from the beginning to end; never again.
I have used this particular UHaul in Ballantyne 3 different times. Every time, the experience has been very positive, professional services, and friendly staff. This location should be a model for all UHauls!

Picking up the vehicle was great and the person I dealt with very helpful, I would rate this 5 stars. However when I came back to return the vehicle, around 5:15 PM, the office was closed and there were still employees inside lounging around, one was laying on top of boxes. They kept on saying we are closed, but all I wanted to drop off the vehicle. After a few minutes of this, an employee told me where to park the vehicle. All he said it would be a $20 dollar fee, no instructions to follow the online return. I saw the instructions and was able to return the vehicle and complete the drop off. For this, I would like to give 1 star.
The customer service and energy is awesome there. I like how it’s culturally diverse and how gender doesn’t play a role in the level of respect and responsibility that’s needed to support customers after all those trucks are big and equipment is heavy but each employee surpassed my expectations with a smile even when I needed assistance outside of normal duties they rose to the challenge. I’m so excited to see how they may grow into management or ownership one day. Only advice is when lines gets long there should be an outside waiting area or better way to organize customers who need to park temporarily or for the time of their rental for extended parking. So maybe a text system to say who is next because coming off that hill swinging into a full line of trucks is not the safe way to go because your employees are struggling to move trucks cars and that energy can be used to help customers not be traffic control. Overall great facility and teamwork!
The staff was great! so friendly and nice, will definitely recommended this location to all and will be back. Still in awe how nice everyone was, more people need to be like the staff at this location!!!

The customer parking lot at this location is not paved. The customer service received at pick up and drop off was exemplary. I will certainly use this location again.
I rented a 26 foot truck. The truck seemed well maintained and the cab was clean. The back of the truck was not clean from the previous rental and contaminated fabric on my furniture. Then, to prevent being charged, I had to clean out the truck of someone else's mess. I went into the office to make this complaint and the person behind the counter was not helpful and even rude.
Stand behind what your representatives tell their customers. Don't help another customer before the representative is though with the first customer. I waited almost forty five minutes finalizing my transaction, between customers and your representative yelling at another customer. Horrible experience with U Haul.
If you're in this location for the first time, you will get lost trying to get out. There is no signage indicating the exit as you can't go out where you came from
Improve customer service. The young woman I dealt with when returning the vehicle was unhelpful, rude, and even slightly hostile, because I apparently didn't leave the vehicle in the proper spot. I left the vehicle in the same spot I picked it up, because no one had told me to do otherwise. She eventually took the keys and said someone would check in the vehicle, but that wasn't done timely because I was charged for an extra day. This was an atrocious way to treat a customer.

Friendly courteous staff. Internet issues prohibited many customers from picking up their rentals via the app which resulted in many frustrated customers on a busy Saturday. But the staff worked hard to accommodate everyone and did a great job. Great group of folks!

People working here are unfriendly and rude. They wouldn't even open the gate to let me out, I had to go find someone and ask and the lady had a rude comment. I will look elsewhere next time.
listed on the website as a 24 hour access location...when attempting to pick up my truck outside with the app via my appointment, my designated truck was not there...I enter and have to go through another "application process" to get my truck...I am then informed that this location does not do 24 hour drop off and I'd have to come back the following day during business hours to drop off the rental...I chose this location because I was led to believe via the website it was a 24 drop off...I had arranged a ride later in the night but did not have one for the nest day...on top of that my wife had to miss two hours of work and watch our children as I returned the truck and paid for a $20 uber back to my house. This experience ended up costing my family way more time and money than had I expected and if the information on the website was accurate I could have chosen a different location.

I was absolutely disappointed with the services I got from U-Haul not only was the dalai broke and would not roll they charged me for 2 days Which left my banking account in the negative and the girl Tammy at the location I went to Ballentine was so rude And actually acted as though I should not have been upset
A little hard to maneuver around because all the trucks, but the customer service was excellent!
I was falsely charges for gas. The fuel was not full and I made sure I let the agent know about this. The salesperson saw this and said that they will adjust it in the contract, but they didn't. I came back to drop off the vehicle and asked about this again, I was told that I should be good to go. I come home and get an email receipt which charged me for the fuel. I had to call customer service and wait for 30 mins and get the money refunded. Annoying thing is that, eventhough I mentioned this matter twice to the person in store, they did not take responsibility.
Improve the access to customer parking area.
When I pointed out that the mileage was not accurate as I picked up the vehicle I was ridiculed and still have not been reimbursed for the difference even though I have the paperwork showing it.

Arrived at 10:00 am to pick up my trailer. Waited in line for 15 minutes only to find out the trailer was not available. Had to call back multiple times to find out when the trailer would be available for pick up. Finally was given a pick up time. Waited in line again for 15-20 minutes. Trailer was on-site but “not in the systemâ€. 30 minutes later I finally left with the trailer. Fortunately the warehouse where I was picking up my furniture was open late in the evening, otherwise I would not have missed my pickup and would have reserved the trailer for nothing!!

I have rented from this location and have been pleased. This list rental smelled like marijuana. Unfortunately needed this to move out of a house I was selling the next day so had to keep thinking the smell will eventually die off but it didn't. Upon returning, I informed the staff returning the truck and all I got back was “that's why we ask you to check the vehicle before leaving “. If I remember correctly I have never seen checking for smell of cannabis on the checklist.
I don't know where to begin. The staff was rude, destructive and moved slow as molasses. I've rented from this location at least twice a month for the last 6 months and I've NEVER been so incredibly disappointed in the service I received. They took 40 min to find my truck, spilled my drink all of the front seat of my cab, broke my glasses. When I asked to speak to a manager they said there was no managers on duty. They offered no apology. Now I'm forced to pay for gas when they told me to return the truck by 1pm even though they didnt get me my truck until 9:45am, 45 min after my scheduled pick up time.
Was redirected by Uhaul to this location, which was 20 minutes away from the location I requested. Returned Uhaul today (after 5 day rental), but was charged for 6 days because it was 15 minutes late. Great customer service.
Office staff was extremely helpful with both my move in and my move out. Switched me to a larger unit that was available when I arrived after I had reserved a unit that was too small. So good at communication. Tammy even called me to let me know she’s straightened out my check in codes when I had to get another unit.

Average because they are overloaded on trucks and park them down the isle where the storage units are. Very hard to get a truck down the isle so to unload.
SO many issues trying to rent, access and utilize our rental unit. The only person we encountered at this facility who was VERY FRIENDLY and helpful was DON! If it weren't for him, three different times, we would not have been able to access our unit, due other staff members errors!

My experience with my storage unit can only be rated as below average. I've never had a bad experience with Uhaul but this new experience makes me change my opinion because I had damages. I made my payments on time for the duration of the time I needed the storage facilities. But the day I moved my furniture out of both of my units. I noticed alot of my furniture was molded and some were completely ruined. And of course the insurance coverage I paid for each of my units doesn't cover that form of damage. Not to mention they were climate control facilities inside a building So not only did I waste money on insurance. Now I have to purchase new furniture.

Great place for storage
I reserved a unit 3 weeks in advance, just to be told on the day I was going to use it, it was not available. I was offered a bigger unit I did not need. I said yes. Just to find out it was already being used. No I will not tell a friend to use your services.
Due to my work schedule, storage access was not conducive to me getting to the facility. Other than that, the staff over the past two years was great and very helpful. I am sure the current owner and staff are very good at what they do!

2 hours before I was suppose to pick up my pre rented truck, they called to tell me they didn’t have that size truck and I needed to go from Pineville to south Blvd. which took almost an hour with traffic. South bid location was great. Pineville not so much. The inconvenience was really bad customer service.

* Too much hassle * Had to have UHaul vehicles moved to allow our vehicle access to storage unit. * Storage unit was padlocked. Had to walk to office to get some to unlock it * Light in unit did not work . Attendant told me it was not UHaul's responsibility to repair.
I would highly recommend Ballantyne Uhaul to anyone new to the area and in need of storage. The people who work here are great.

Good morning- Chuckie and his team were great all the way around! I had an unexpected and immediate need to move belongings with nowhere to take them. They helped with pricing out trucks, moving materials and even unit size based on my needs. The only issue I had was warmer than expected climate control areas near glass front windows. I will definitely be back or recommending others to UHaul Pineville-Matthews!

The elevator to the second floor was not working for over a week so I had to carry my items down stairs at the end of the building. Called the office to advise and they kept saying how to press the elevator button quickly after swiping the card. Eventually they came and tried themselves and saw it wasn’t working.
The guy that helped was super awesome and very efficient. I purchased some boxes and needed to return 1 today and Brianna tried to help me but she couldn’t figure it out. After 30 minutes, I finally gave up...

I rented a truck from Philly to Ballantyne. I needed two seprate storages for about two months then one more truck for my final destination. Everything was excellent. I recommend uhaul. Thumbs up!

U-haul's customer service is really bad across the board, not just this location. At Ballantyne they didnt want my dropoff, employees acted like sloths thru dropoff and renting of storage unit.

Asked GM Valerie for a W9 form, to setup as a vendor, so our company could make payments. She was not helpful and didn’t make an effort to find a resolution. We have taken our business to CubeSmart.

trucks parked in front of my unit everytime i tried to access it i had to have them moved.i emptied my unit 2days after my monthly period and they wanted to charge me a full month rent.i refuse to pay
Storage units and property are clean and well maintained. I give extra points for the security that's in place at this location. They have cameras everywhere, which leads to feeling extra protected.

Our lock got removed somehow, and the staff locked the unit when they found it open. He are happy they secured the unit, but we wish they had notified us that something had happened.
