Gas tank was just past 3/4 full when I picked up and I got charged $9 because they said I shorted them 2 gallons. I filled up less than a mile from the drop location.

I rented a climate control unit. Obviously, it wasn't climate control. My bed made of leather melted on my table and damaged my bed set and table. They're both over $2,000.00. Yes, I declined the insurance because I had my own but all in the same breath if the unit was climate controlled this wouldn't have happened. I paid over $230 a month for items to be damaged. Never again!

There were issues with the 24/7 checkin process. Had to go inside and checkin. The person at the counter had no idea of the equipment I needed or what was n the reservation. I returned the trailer close and equipment within 3 hours and 2 days later I still do not have a receipt. I asked at return and they told me it was e-mail only. I called back after 4 hours and asked where my email receipt was and they told me they would sent it immediately. I gave them my email address again but nothing happened. Called back 24 hours later and went through it again - no email receipt. Checked again today ( 2 days after the rental) and no receipt. Very concerned about the charges. I took pictures and a video of the rep getting in the truck after the return. But no receipt yet.

The agent did not perform a basic walk around of the equipment when we picked it up. The truck we were meant to rent was in the lot, but the agent gave us another one because, "she couldn't find it," despite us telling her exactly where we saw it. The truck had no gas cap, and when we called to tell them, they asked us to drive 35 miles to get one. The driver door wouldn't shut properly. We got charged for 18 gallons of gas, when I only drove a total of 26 miles - meaning the truck only gets 1.4 miles per gallon. According to the uhaul site, the 15 foot truck gets 10 mils per gallon. No one was there to check me back in properly, and it showed I returned the vehicle late, despite me returning it on time. Absolutely dreadful experience, and fraudulent charges.

Icame in to see if any trucks were available and was told no. I left and immediately called another uhaul shop who didnt have a truck butsaid there was one at the ballantyne location andhe helped me reserve it. The team member there never bothered to check. Just said no. I also returned the truck on sunday but my receipt said monday and charged me for an extra day. This needs to be resolved.

Returning the vehicle after hours was problematic. The link I was provided for the return process did not work, in that it did not recognize my location. I called a number provided to me after that. This person told me where to look for the key drop, but could not help with the actual vehicle return. I called the next morning to find out if they processed my return. This process should be much smoother.

Terrible customer service they all had awful attitudes and were talking poorly about another customer instead of helping. Were very rude towards me and were mumbling when talking and when i asked for them to repeats what they said they got attitude. The truck was obviously not cleaned before use. The area to turn the headlights on fell into the dashboard and i could not drive with the headlights on while it was dark due to that. Terrible experience I will definitely not be going back to this location.

My pickup experience was horrible! The location did not have internet service at the time and the process to sign out and pick up the van was too complicated doing it on my cell phone and took entirely too long. I must add, however, I did get a very helpful and patient customer service rep on the phone who walked me through the process and stayed on the phone with me the whole time. That was much appreciated! Everything else was just fine.

Drop off was an absolute cluster. Front drive was blocked, gal at front counter was on cell phone, I was let in other gate only to be told by bitchy employee that I wasn't to go in that gate and couldn't just drop the trailer with them. Rather than drop the trailer I had to take and park it for them. Never again will I visit this location!!!

I completed my rental online, did everything including the onsite check in. But it still took over 30 minutes standing at the counter while the employee figured out how to process the rental. I was quite shocked at the actual price, it's not $19 at all. Next time I'll just rent the truck at Home Depot.

On the day I moved in, the elevator broke. We couldn't use the stairs to get to our 2nd floor unit bc they had been locked from the inside. With no way to get back to our unit, we called Uhaul customer service who promised the facility manager would contact us the next day. Never, ever heard from him. We also called the emergency number listed on the elevator which was to the facility manager- he didn't answer and his voicemail was full. We left that night without ever getting access to our unit which was wide open all night. The next day, our friend was able to get to our unit for us by getting the office to unlock the stairs. We moved all our stuff out 2 weeks later. Poorly managed facility and poor complaints program.

Not the fault of the uhaul drop off, however, I was told I dropped off the uhaul at the wrong location after confirming that location on the phone AND receiving a text with the address for that location to drop it off. This required me to spend an hour on the phone (45 min on hold) to resolve the issue. The person who was on the phone was very helpful and able to fix the situation but the entire experience was below average due to the amount of time this required to fix a problem I had no part in causing.

The service rep that gave me the keys and contract was very pleasant. However, 2 weeks in a row I was given a van with tires that required air due to low pressure indicator. This week, the van I was given was also low on windshield wiper fluid (indicator light was on), engine light was on, and on the return trip from Wilmington, the engine oil light came on. The engine was straining upon acceleration and a couple times I thought the engine was going to cut out completely. Last but not least, it was clear the van had not been cleaned or sanitized since there was a used surgical mask left on the dashboard and the inside of driver side door and window had something spilled on it.

I rented a 5 x 8, which upon arrival, I was told was a "non-existent" trailer that they'd been trying to get off the books for a year or two. As I didn't have time to screw around, I rented a van which cost me $65.24 plus $9.48 in gas. We're currently shopping for a trailer to purchase. We've been renting a trailer nearly monthly from Uhaul for 12 years, but this experience has put an end to it. Nearly all Uhaul experiences have been annoying (the electronic data that I always fill out before arriving, is never, ever correct, except once or twice that I can remember) but this location in particular is well known for never getting it right.

The mileage was wrong on the paperwork, I told the associate she signed the paperwork with the correct mileage then said she would fix it in the computer she did not so when I brought it back thru charged me for an extra 22 miles, the van said it need an oil change and would not stop flashing I did not feel safe in the van or cared for by the staff

If you reserve a dolly online, they will not necessarily have one available for you as they claim it is “first come, first serve”. But you are then told you can buy one for $50 in the store. At this particular location, the person who helped me was distracted with a coworker, laughing about her misdemeanor and having to go to court. Just seemed kind of unprofessional and gross in my opinion. It wasn't an overall positive experience.

My overall rating is positive ONLY because of the cheerful and knowledgeable customer service of two associate's the dog-loving gentleman and the lady who hails from Albany, NY. Both know their stuff and treat people well. Unfortunately the lady who handled my return was AWFUL. The entrance to this facility is small and often congested. This lady has a habit of blasting music while cleaning returned vehicles which prevents her feom hearing customers and maintaining situational awareness. Her lack of attention created a serious SAFETY RISK during my return. This associate's terrible attitude and lack of customer focus is going to get someone killed. Fix your processes and hire better people!

My experience today was very inconvenient I moved in my storage 3 weeks ago, and today I go to get something out of my storage and u-haul mixed up my storage unit with someone else's. I was told they assigned someone else my unit and that I needed to take my stuff out and move it to another one. After explaining that this was not the first time the switched my unit I was able to get them to fix the issue. But U-Haul has to do better with schedule and reserving units one per customer and not double booking.

Freight elevator is so small, and totally inconvenient. My wife & i thought we had booked an outside unit, not interior 2nd floor. When i was done - the reps advised me i was not allowed to return the equipment because someone else already determined a different place for me (which was completely out of the way). When i was done unloading everything, i had to physically move 4 trailers in order to make the turn to exit the facility. Horrible experience, very very nice people.
