Finally, its staff are not very efficient, as evidenced by the fact that my one day 5x8 trailer and appliance dolly rental that was returned three hours early was not formally checked-in until early the next afternoon and multiple unanswered calls to the location and two discussions with the U-Haul Customer Service Center.

Mike GrassoSo, the morning opening team member evidently didn't show up for work time. There were approximately 7 trucks of various sizes parked in the entrance from after hours drop off. Just seeing this made me think I would be a slow / late departure to my day. BUT, that was not the case. The gentleman who opened the store did so with GRACE! There were at least 5 different groups of people waiting outside the front door prior to 7 a.m.. I feel bad that I don't have his name. He is about 6'3' and has a nice full head of hair (dreads maybe) under a hair wrap. Just call him Mystro as he was conducting a flawless orchestral movement of outstanding customer service! He checked in 4 groups of people while coordinating my truck. He managed to not only pick out a truck for me, but actually switched out the original truck for a back-up because he felt that the original truck might have starter issues. We waisted no time getting the truck switched over for me to utilize your technology for a quick check out and a seamless transition into the rest of my "fun filled" day of moving..... I returned the truck around 2:15 p.m. and was greeted by a young lady with a radiant smile who had a very positive attitude and emitted great energy. It took about 12 seconds to drop off the key and be on my way. My final bill showed up a little later ion the day and everything looked This was the second time I have rented a truck from this location in under a month. Both customer service experiences have exceeded expectations! Customer service is a dying art in this country and that is not the case with this service team! Thank you for providing a bright spot in what was a very terrible emotional day of moving out of a home I lived in for the past 14 years......

It was like, I made a big blunder ordering U-Haul. It took him some time to come to his mind to fill the air. Next time I will attempt to go somewhere before U-Haul.

It caused me to be late to meeting my movers and resulted in me having to spend more for their time. When the guy finally showed up to the front he had a major attitude issue and was on the phone the entire time. Told him I wanted insurance and he just ignored me. Was in such a rush so I paid and left. Never sent me a receipt either. I will NEVER use this location and I will make sure everyone I know doesn’t mess up their moving day with this place. Such a shame, I’ve always had such great experiences with u haul. The guy should be fired.

When I arrived to pick up on 2/10/24 at the designated time, I was informed that the 26 ft truck had been extended for a further day by a previous renter and was unavailable. There were no 26 ft trucks available. I was required to rent a 20 ft truck which resulted in multiple trips and added miles. No notification was received regarding the status of the truck that I rented.

That's not what they said via the BBB. I was told if I didn't like their overpriced rates, I could take a hike. It's too difficult getting in and out at this facility. All of the card swiping is annoying. I had to swipe the card at least fifty times getting in and out of Building C. Plus, it is a tight location, difficult to maneuver. At one point I entered at the wrong gate and was asked to back out. I had to laugh.. I can't back a trailer, and no way could anyone else on that road what with all the traffic.

The staff kept promising to let us know about the status of the leaking roof but they never once followed up. Customer service was contacted on more than one occasion and still no resolutions. We were extremely disappointed due to damage that our items underwent while two of three of our units had water leaking. Some of the damaged items are irreplaceable!

The CCTV throughout the property is a plus and make you feel safe. Getting in and out of the property through the access gates is easy and simple. The move in and out went smoothly. The staff and the owner (Chuckie) are awesome, very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I would recommend this location.

I’ve been a consistent customer of Uhaul (not just this location) since 2018…and because of the people you have working at this location, you’ve lost me. You even screwed up my moving truck on moving day sending me to 3 different locations costing me extra time with the movers I paid for! The manager at your Rock Hill, SC location tried to tell me my reservation wasn’t as important as another persons reservation and didn’t want to give me my truck. How am I not as important as another customer?? You need to hire better people and reverse whatever changes your company has made over the past 3 years.

I paid over $230 a month for items to be damaged. Never again!

With no way to get back to our unit, we called Uhaul customer service who promised the facility manager would contact us the next day. Never, ever heard from him. We also called the emergency number listed on the elevator which was to the facility manager— he didn’t answer and his voicemail was full. We left that night without ever getting access to our unit which was wide open all night. The next day, our friend was able to get to our unit for us by getting the office to unlock the stairs. We moved all our stuff out 2 weeks later. Poorly managed facility and poor complaints program.

But U-Haul has to do better with schedule and reserving units one per customer and not double booking.

I am getting use out of home depot trucks they have no mileage charge unlike GREEDY UHAUL charging from $.79 to .99 a mile. Greed the ole American Greed! I have no issue with ballentyne store. Boxmeer store has taken money from me an entire month ago$83.09.. They locked me out a storage 3 days after i put items there and have not allowed me use of the storage for an entire month. On saturday i hored two guys to help me get the items called before i came $150 for the guys to come only to not get in the storage was told they cant let me..TO GET MY DAM STUFF REALLY. I HATE UHAUL ACTIONS AND DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IN WHAT THEY DO TO CUSTOMERS. When i was done - the reps advised me i was not allowed to return the equipment because someone else already determined a different place for me (which was completely out of the way). When i was done unloading everything, i had to physically move 4 trailers in order to make the turn to exit the facility. Horrible experience, very very nice people.

It was blocking the storage they gave us but then came this other female who was a manager and solve the problem, and I told her that girl needs not to work there with that f up attitude, she got us really upset but the manager was really nice and was apologizing for that young girl. After that we end up having our stuff an extra month and did not have any problems. Staff was really nice when we would go and take our stuff out. We would ask if they can please move the truck out of our way and they would without any problems…

Often had to move small trailers to be able to get out of facilities while pulling my trailer, rentals were often not parked in marked spaces, once popped my trailer tire on the tongue of a rental trailer that was jutting out into lane. Staff was courteous and helpful when needed.

Poor service from Uhale in Kentucky, even poorer in Pineville, NC. Had to move my stuff in with no lights. Now I have damage property. They Over charged my account. I paid 160$ a month. Signs where outside saying 89.99$. Had to handle business cause I had a family and all our belongings with us. My Wife was very upset.

The manager was very understanding and very helpful and I told her about that young girl, so the manager kept apologizing to me.

It was only 7:15 pm but the facility access hours are 5am - 10pm. Tried to call the facility manager but it went straight to the voice mail box that was full. Luckily, I noticed other customers retuning their truck after hours and I asked them to try swiping my card at the terminal outside of the main gate. It worked and I was able leave, otherwise I would have been stuck overnight waiting for the office to open next day. Very confusing and poorly design system!

kristi campbell | First ImpressionsThis complaint has to donwith a previous conversation I had with Charles regarding returning the 26' truck at time when charlotte is experiencing a gas shortage As I had mentioned to Charles the customer cannot/should not be held liable for for the crisis while no gas stations are open and the ones that are, you have to find them, meaning 10-30miles from your drop-off destination point. In a short summization I was charged $4.00 gallon from quarter to half tank marker in addition to 30miles on top of what had wouldn't have to pay had the customer be help liable for uncontrollably circunstatces during this gas crisis. I can't express my disappointment of my final receipt if $117.00 less a service fee all customers are having to pay, while still the profit of U Haul a multi-billion company is only being deposited at this time of crisis to there bank account ...... NOT GOOD BUSINESS to a company Ive used for 50yrs+. I do plan on making a larger complaint to recover that exspense hence the unfairity of this rental experience.

First time all of my brothers vinyl records were stolen approx 4,000 that he collected from the time he was very young and passed away at the young age of 59. I got one month of free rent. Because I didn't have a catalog of what was in the collection I couldn't claim on my home owners insurance. Even more important is I can never replace them. Don't leave anything that is of value or sentimental. These people DON'T care.

I like how it’s culturally diverse and how gender doesn’t play a role in the level of respect and responsibility that’s needed to support customers after all those trucks are big and equipment is heavy but each employee surpassed my expectations with a smile even when I needed assistance outside of normal duties they rose to the challenge. I’m so excited to see how they may grow into management or ownership one day. Only advice is when lines gets long there should be an outside waiting area or better way to organize customers who need to park temporarily or for the time of their rental for extended parking. So maybe a text system to say who is next because coming off that hill swinging into a full line of trucks is not the safe way to go because your employees are struggling to move trucks cars and that energy can be used to help customers not be traffic control. Overall great facility and teamwork!

I made my payments on time for the duration of the time I needed the storage facilities. But the day I moved my furniture out of both of my units. I noticed alot of my furniture was molded and some were completely ruined. And of course the insurance coverage I paid for each of my units doesn't cover that form of damage. Not to mention they were climate control facilities inside a building So not only did I waste money on insurance. Now I have to purchase new furniture.
