Location was convenient but service was ok at best. We paid for a climate controlled unit but the air conditioning was not working for at least 3 weeks with no estimate on when repairs would be made. It was over 100 degrees in my unit and I didn't want to wait any longer. I moved to the Extra Storage Space facility. We were lied about the truck we were rented. We were told that it was a new security feature to turn the wheel all the way to the left or right to start the vehicle. When I return we the truck, I was told a ne lw key was cut and I just had to hold the key into the lock for a few seconds. Contacting Uhaul through 1-800-go uhaul is useless !!! I will seriously consider using Penske or Ryder next time even if it costs me more money. After you sign the contract and pick up the Uhaul rental truck you are completely on your own. Lord forbid you have to change drop off locations or worse, have a mechanical issue because trying to contact anyone at Uhaul to help you is impossible.David C.

The woman on the phone told me my unit would be ok for a two bedroom home. The storage space was more like a closet for a very small studio apt. I almost had to buy an additional storage unit. My stuff barely fit and I ended up throwing away a bunch of stuff and putting many items in my car instead. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!MELISSA J.

Associate hooked up the auto transport incorrectly, causing my mini van to fly over the edge and the hitch to fall apart while I'm in the vehicle loading it onto the transport! He Instructed me to back it off, causing an immense amount of physical damage to my vehicle. And then tried to re attach the transport and instructed me to try to drive my van up onto it again. Causing the same result and even MORE damage to my van!!! They then told us we would have to wait until the next day to go to ANOTHER location to try and get another transport. There was not even a guarantee! Mind you, my husband and I have 4 small kids, and we're moving out of state. This incident not only caused an incredible amount of damage to my van, which I already filed a claim over, but it set our move back by an entire day! I missed my start day for my new job, my husband missed his job interview, AND my kids were not able to start at their new school and now have to wait until next Monday!!! We had to also find somewhere to stay that night because we had already moved out of our home and were planning to get on the road that night. We ended up finding a transport the next day at another location but also had a rough experience there as well. This entire thing made our move TERRIBLE and so incredibly stressful. My husband and I both were traumatized by it and were scared the entire drive up with the van on the back. I am so upset and disappointed by this entire thing.KRISTINA D.

make sure the employees use the closest drop-off location for the address the customer is traveling to. If your credit card processing goes down, make sure you can still run credit cards & give out trucks to people who are in a time crunch to move. It's 2021, line the cargo bays of your trucks with pads, intermittently. Use those soft puzzle pieces that line kids playrooms or something. Do something to improve your company. Trucks have no bluetooth to connect to phones, no cruise control.GREGORY J.

Check the tires on the rental before sending a family across the country. I know things happen but to send out a truck with a bald tire is something that should have been caught. I will say the response team when the tire blew out was very quick once they arrived!David D.

I had an electrical harness previously installed at this location. The harness ground was never attached. Therefore, when I turned on my lights during evening driving, the trailer's running lights, turn signals, and brake lights were completely dark, placing me, my family, and vehicles behind me at risk for significant injury. Given the amount of cautions placed all over the trailer, I would expect competent installation of the harness. I would expect dispassionate interest in your staff. Placing your customers' safety at risk due to a hurried installation of the harness is quite another matterDOUGLAS M.

I am giving a 3/5 star, average rating because the experience was incredibly simple and the location and facility are decent. If I hadn't asked for directions to access the gate to the facility then I wouldn't have had to interact with anyone who worked there and that is very convenient indeed. However, this survey does not include the question of satisfaction with the price. I'm renting a climate controlled 5x5 space which average cost (including climate controlled) is $44 and I am paying $65. That is a price increase of very near 50%. The directions to the facility are adequate but could be improved by stating which direction the facility map is facing. The facility map is laid out north/south, while the physical location stretches east/west. A simple fix would be a north orientation arrow on the facility map or orient the map in landscape instead of portrait. The location was easy to find, and the access to the gate can be found by doing a little searching. There appear to be no signs or directions on how to get to the gate once on property and the vehicle rental and rental return building are up front blocking the view of the storage area. It took me an extra minute to find. A minor inconvenience and now that I know it will be easy to access. I'd recommend using this Uhaul storage location for a short term but not long term time period as the extra $20 per month adds up. After a year's rent (plus taxes and fees) that is $840 vs the average price (+taxes/fees) of $600.William S. | Online Move In
The move in experience was great but since then there was an incident that I feel needs addressing. I went to my unit on Sunday 5/23/21. I realized I had forgotten my passcode so I went up the office for assistance. As soon as I walked inside, BOTH of the employees behind the counter suddenly ran for the back door. When I asked where they were going I was told that another customer outside needed the keys for propane. I thought it very strange that it required two employees to do this. After I waited a few minutes one of the young ladies came back in and I explained that I had forgotten my passcode. She asked me my name, looked up my account, and then gave me the passcode. I didn't really think about it until I got outside but she never even asked for my ID or anything. She just asked me my name and gave me the passcode. Then when we went to enter the facility the gate was already open and the door to my building just opened without the passcode at all. Today 5/24/21 I went back again and it was the same story... the gate was wide open and the door to the building was just unlocked. I'm not sure if the whole "idea" of a passcode is just to make us feel like this facility is secure or if it's even necessary at all.Christopher S. | Online Move In

The experience with the location and local team was great. I did end up having to call to confirm my move-out, as the virtual move-out process didn't work. I had submitted pictures and uploaded move-out confirmation but still received an auto-pay reminder a week and a half later, which then prompted me to have to call.
