The Florida U-Haul experience was below average due to the box arriving one day late and I could not get through to them on the phone and they never notified me that it would not be on time. It did arrive the next day and when I opened the box there was mouse droppings and a giant cockroach inside. I swept the box out so we could start packing it because we were already a whole day behind schedule. They did come pick it up on time. The Cleveland, Ohio U-Haul was excellent. They communicated with me about when the box would be delivered and picked up. I was very happy to find everything had made the trip safely and undamaged.

Make sure that the truck is clean and equipment properly secured. For example I was charged for using the dolly because they failed to re-attach the dolly before I used it.

I rented 6 packing pads ;however, I did not use them during my move. I brought back the pads in the same condition untouched packaging was never opened I informed an employee about the pads, and still got charged. This is unfortunate that the charges were not removed I find this unfair.

When I picked up the rental van in store I was not given a review of the terms, nor an inspection or walkthrough with my van. The contract said the tank was at 5/8 full and the meter was barely hovering above half. When I asked to have it corrected they notched it down one, but it was still higher than reported. I only drove the van 9 miles. The difference in what they said the tank was and what the tank actually was cost more than the fuel I used. When I tried returning the van after hours the website would redirect my submission request to the home page. So I called the 1-800 number at 9:30 in the parking lot. I was on hold for about 20 minutes in the sketchy parking lot while undesirable people walked through the parking lot. The operator that eventually helped me was kind, but what should have been a 2 minute process ended up keeping me on the lot past 10pm for a half hour. I had the rental for a 24 hour period, however I told the employee I was planning on returning after hours. No return process was reviewed with me. I've used this location many times before and always have been happy. This time was definitely an exception.

30 minute drive from my destination through heavy traffic to drop off the trailer. I later found a closer Uhaul 5 minutes from my destination. Would have been nice if Uhaul personnel would have taken the time to do a basic search to find the closest drop off location. Again customer service was terrible

Amazing staff, extremely busy when I walked in but was handled in timely manner. Originally was upset because had to go about 30 minutes out of the way due to inventory. But Greg was a huge help, ended up having wiring issues with our truck to a trailer and basically our day would have been ruined. But Greg was able to find a solution and helped with the install. To help us get our job done and safely as well!! Highly recommend to all!

They forgot to place the dolly and blankets on the truck when I picked it up. I had to go back the next morning. Also, they didn't have any utility dollies available when I asked for one on the reservation. Was given the appliance dolly free of charge, but it's too heavy to use for regular boxes.

Take in-person clients before phone clients (and don't work on a phone client's problem after there is already someone waiting in line). Make sure the trucks are well maintained; mine felt like it was falling apart every time I hit the gas (and this is definitely not the first UHaul of that size I've driven).

The employee who helped me was very rude. Kept insinuating that I was giving him a fake alternate number and made sure to tell me , " you know you have to bring the truck back here right". Being as I have literally rented dozens of uhauls and never been asked any of these questions, I proceeded to ask what the purpose of the questions were. Another employee who was helping a completely different customer interjected by saying that , " those are just some of the questions we ask and if you dont like them you can go rent a truck elsewhere". Was not taken outside to do a walk around on the truck to assess any previous damage and upon return was not given a final receipt neither in person or via email. I am strongly considering never renting from uhaul again. I have a reservation for the 19th and am considering renting elsewhere due to this experience

Made a reservation for a 15 foot U-Haul and received a last minute phone call that our reserved U-Haul had a flat tire. Do to being on a very stressful move we had no choice but to pick up a smaller U-Haul (10 ft truck). This situation caused us to have to do two trips back and forth to complete our move. A 15 ft truck would have be enough for one trip. Although the mileage rate was changed to .69 per mile we still had double our mileage because of the size of the truck. Not satisfied at all with how everything happened!

I think they greatly improve in the communication department. Let the paying customer know what’s going on when their vehicle. Vehicle has been left in their possession for over an hour and has not been touch. Then had to wait another hour to complete work. Very disappointed!

Overall, the experience was great! Regarding, the new online order pick up process, it was a bit confusing. I still had to speak with a team member to get the keys to the truck. That just wasn’t easily explained in the ordering/pick-up process. I have nothing against speaking with someone to get the truck, I was just under the assumption that I’d arrive and enter a code into a locker to get the keys to the truck. Lastly, just wanted to shout out the team. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I’d like to especially thank Marvin, who inspected my truck as I returned it. He was welcoming and looked at my situation individually. He was even able to save me money for returning the truck earlier. I have many years in customer service, and doing things like that sets the experience apart. Thanks again Marvin!

The pickup site was great. But what was not great were your customer representatives I spoke to while trying to make my reservation. This was the absolute worst experience in my 30 plus years using Uhaul. Either they are not trained properly, or they just don’t care, or both. I asked to speak to a manager to get the pickup site corrected, and she told the representative to tell me that that was the scheduling site. So she was saying that Dynamic Auto Service on N Bumby is the location of your scheduling center., when she did not want to take the call or help. Then the price changed numerous times from the original quote. It took 7 phone calls but thankfully Kyle at scheduling corrected the problems. He was more knowledgeable than the others. I mean my order was wrong right out of the gate. So many thanks to Kyle. And the people at the Baldwin Park pick up site were great. They knew what they were doing. Which is more than I can say for the reps when I called to make reservation and tried to get things corrected. But I have always used Uhaul and still will.

The manager was super friendly, he understood the only location at the time was so far from us he helped us issuing extra miles so we wouldn’t break the bank. This company is very convenient, we were able to drop the vessel at a closer location which I’m very appreciative of. Moving is no fun but this company made it easier.

My initial, originally intended and GUARANTEED location, however, (3145 N John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32804) was HORRIBLE. Refused to give me truck, claimed it was locked by UHAUL and UHAUL messes up orders all the time. Threatened to call the cops if I did't leave property. An HOUR later, after being on hold for over 30 min on three separate occasions and being disconnected or handed off to a dead line, we FINALLY managed to get a truck at 11:30am by a very nice representative named Kyle (Thank you Kyle). Overall, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, and I would like my $50 truck guarantee sent to me for the truck not being available as promised.

My reservation was initially made at another location and I was contacted the next morning in regards to it being changed since they didn’t have a van. That was handled very professionally by the young lady that did that. My check in to get the equipment was also very professionally completed and the lady was very nice. The only thing to improve would be for this location to show up clearer on the website. I specifically looked for it and didn’t locate it.

Employee who came out to check us back in never said anything to us except you will get a email of return sent to you. My father (who is 74 and is battling cancer) and brother had to disconnect the trailer while the associate was on a device that looked like a cellphone. He never said hi, how was everything or let me check you in and I will disconnect the trailer for you. He acted like we interrupted his day. Thank heavens for my brother being there to do most of the work. God forbid if it was someone who had no idea how to hook up or unhook a trailer. Associate needs to go back to school and learn how to deal with customers. Moving my parents from NC to Fla so that my brother and I can help out with them. Wil not use or recommend this u-haul to anyone

it was our mistake I didn't check the mileage before we left I went to Kissimmee Florida from Orlando a trip I have done on numerous occasions its 15 miles one way so it would be 30 miles round trip some how or another we were charged for 60 miles its the first time this has happened to me I rent your vehicles on many occasions I wont be back to this particular place i will continue to rent from the goldenrod location where I never had any problems
