Arthur Dulong was a life saver! On Thursday, we were mid-move using Pods and ran out of room, and needed to close on our house sale Friday. Friday morning, Arthur found us three 5x10 storage units and a 10ft box truck to allow us to empty the house in time. I called U Haul and spoke with a customer representative. He made me a reservation for 6pm at U Haul in Ayer Ma, and he told me I could show up as much as an hour late and still get my reservation. We showed up at 6pm (we were not late) and the U Haul shop was closed and we were not able to pick up our U-Haul. We had to cancel our plans to pick up a new dresser, it was stressful and a waste of time and energy. I'm not sure why the U-Haul representative would make me an appointment when the store was scheduled to close, and then go so far as to tell me I could even show up lateâ€¦ I would like a $50 refund because U-haul was not able to keep my reservation. Arthur Dulong deserves all the accolades. He consistently went above and beyond to help us both with our move in, and our move out, of Massachusetts. From arranging for us to have access to our U-boxes to mitigating leaking in our unit, Mr. Dulong handled our needs and concerns with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. When we realized we were going to be moving out of MA, he was most helpful both in terms of acquiring U-boxes on short notice as well as facilitating our quick move out of our unit. Your app for phone pick-ups is terrible. Twice now I have relied on the app to pick up a van before the store is open and your app wouldn't connect. I sat on the phone for 30 minutes each time waiting to speak with a rep. And then yesterday to only be hung up on by the rep because he couldn't handle speaking to an upset customer. Before he hung up he mentioned a $50 credit. You can keep that $50 and put it towards making the app actually work. I run a small business so having to wait for the store to open costs me time and money.TAYLOR C.

I reserved a 26-foot truck with a scheduled 10 am pick up at the Harvard st Leominster location, only to get there and be informed I had to go to the Northboro location to pick up the truck. I drive to pick up the truck in Northboro at which time I was told they didn't have a truck for me, reporting "The truck broke down, actually it blew up and is not available." Not believable at all. Anyhow the manager was very responsive, showing a great sense of empathy, and attempted to get me a smaller truck. She stated a smaller size truck would be available to pick up at 1 pm at her location. With movers scheduled and waiting I agreed to pick up that truck at 1 pm. I returned to the Harvard st location where my storage facility is located and my movers were waiting as well. I stopped in the store to speak with the two employees that have always been supportive, welcoming, and very customer-focused. I informed them of my poor experience, and they responded quickly looking up possible opportunities in getting me the 26-foot truck. They located one at the Ayer location for a 2:30 pm pick-up and reserved the truck for me. Arriving to Ayer very frustrated, annoyed, disappointed, and pissed off, the manager was welcoming, attentive to my situation, and provided the utmost customer service, assuring the prior renter returned the truck on time and got me on my way for my move and movers who I had paid based on the 4 plus hours of delay. Please thank the manager tremendously at the Ayer and Harvard street locations for the exceptional customer service they demonstrated in representing U-Haul and their hearts displaying compassion and drive to overcome obstacles and meet customer's needs. The on site person was great but the online folks, not so much. I reserved the truck for a location in Westford. The day or so before I found out no truck; the online folks scrambled for several hours to secure a truck because I was flying up from Florida just to pick up the truck and help him move; not cool at all. I got transferred around for hours until I got to the actual scheduler who solved the problem. Also, I ordered a bunch of boxes etc. on line. It turns out very few of those products were available at the store. You need to make it clear to people that items, especially specialty items like wardrobe boxes, need to be shipped to either their homes or to the actual truck pick up location.Bruce K.

The boxes never showed up on delivery day. Uhaul sent my order to a moving company that no longer exists. I had to pay more to get movers at the last minute. No one will take responsibility and we were actually laughed at when calling to complain along with footing the extra bill. I had flown in for the moving and uhaul royally screwed my flights. I was sent to a location further away from the one I reserved but wasn't given extra miles to compensate for the difference. There was also a server outage the same day that caused me to be delayed in getting the truck by over an hour. Ended up standing outside in the freezing cold not able to pick up the truck and no one at uhaul would answer the phones.David C.

Arthur DuLong, Manager was fantastic. He said the system said I needed to drop the trailer off at a different location. I showed him my order and that I got no updated order to drop off at a different location. I told him I had come from Maine to move my parents to MA and was on my way home to PA. He contacted a supervisor and they slowed me to drop the trailer off at DeLong's location. Thus making me stay on schedule and not adding to my already long day. Very professional and helpful. The employee working when I picked up my rental was clearly a lunatic. He started yelling at me when I opened the door to enter the building. I had an n95 mask on that he never saw. He ordered me out of the building because he was, as he put it, dealing with someone already. About five minutes later he came out and informed me it was going to be a long time because he had to clean a rental off. It was snowing. After i was summoned to the building he told me he is very concerned about covid. He was not wearing a mask and had cloth over his mouth only. My rental had chip bags and beer cans in it. He also did a poor job cleaning the snow off. I have a class a cdl. The open containers of alcohol put my license and livelihood at risk. I've never had any problems any other time I have rented from uhaul. This person is a terrible representative for uhaul.Philip T.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at any store I've even been to . I'm 37 years old and have traveled the country and used Uhaul a lot over the year but this was not only the best experience at a Uhaul it was the best of any store I've been to.
