The staff at this location is very poorly trained in customer service. They never return phone call , never ask you if it's ok to be placed on hold. They don't call about late payment but will lock your unit right away. I wish I would have never leased here!!!!!

The truck had zero gasoline, which I ended up being charged for; employees seemed to have no idea what was going on; the truck smelled terrible; the right mirror was broken; there were holes in the box truck part. Terrible experience. Will never use U-Haul again. Also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for being double charged.

we spent several hours there. When checking in, was told nothing about accessories I would need. When trying to hook up the trailer, was then told of acessories I needed to buy. Went back in the store and was told to buy the wrong hitch accesories. This was after waiting in line for 40 min. When those hitch components didn't work, was told the right ones were out if stock. Had to go to an auto supply store to buy the right stuff to hitch the trailer. 4 hours later I could finally leave the UHaul.

The only problem, I continually have is the self checking in, once I return the equipment, never works, which always results in over charges ! I got the equipment on Friday returned on Sat morning, they checked it in on Monday!

The overall experience was not great. I booked my initial reservation for a specific location, I received a call 6 hours before my pickup time and was told the location was changed and I needed to make it by a time I wasn't able to. It was then changed to a 3rd location but I never received a confirmation email or text about that until today (36 hours AFTER I had already dropped it off at the drop off location).

I was not initially aware of policy of no move in after hours so I had to extend my uhual reservations (with associated costs) to reschedule my move in of things into the storage unit. Prior to arriving that evening I tried to call the office to make sure I would be able to move in at that time but there was no answer on the phone after multiple attempts. This cost me $60 in additional fees from having to extend my uhual truck rental.

Never received the truck y'all were overbooked very unprofessional just sitting talking not letting anyone know what's going on until I actually spoke up asking what the problem was because my pick up is 2 and I have to be at work at 4 asked if there was a sister company that had any and the sons was I don't think so probably not they were waiting on people to bring back trucks that were late I asked if I was getting a refund and the response was 50% I said no 100% because it's not my fault there's no trucks in the time I paid for. Very dissatisfied will not use again.

I reserved a 7:30 a.m. appointment and was prepared for a slight delay but not a 6 hour delay to install a wiring harness because I had already installed the trailer hitch the previous night and after waiting 6 hours to be told that they did not have the tow ball that I had already purchased online with the other items. This was a terrible experience for me and I will avoid, if possible, uhaul like the plague

Service reps were unprofessional and lacked customer service care. The rep who assisted me was not very personable and quite rude by abruptly leaving her desk while assisting me to talk to someone and grab and eat her fries and drink not even excusing herself. Very rude and unprofessional. After waiting for nearly an hour, finally got my rental van and realized later after getting to my destination the back left tire was flat. Had to take rental van back to Uhaul and waited another hour to get a replacement van. Horrible experience!

I actually was rescheduled to pick up a truck from a Uhaul authorized dealer even though I initially picked this location first. I went to the dealer and after my card was charged, I realized that no one was inside and that was the only way to get the key! Then I sat on hold for 1hr waiting for someone find a truck for me and they found me one at this Avondale location but when I got there, they told me there was no truck. After sitting in the store for another hour while the Manager on the phone talked to the Manager of the store - I finally received a truck BUT I had to return it to this store instead of doing a one way rental which was pretty difficult considering it was a Saturday in Atlanta and there was an Atlanta United game in town that made traffic horrific. Add that to the fact that I didn't get my truck until two hours after I was supposed to and that put us riding back right after the game was let out. I've had rough Uhaul experiences in the past but this one takes the cake. And to add insult to injury, despite the fact that I did not get to do a one way rental, the transaction still went through as if I did! And I have a hold for the actual round trip rental I did do. I could go on about how bad this experience was, how my movers charged me for making them wait while I waited for Uhaul, how I sat with another customer at the authorized dealer waiting and not given any viable options despite our truck reservations being “guaranteed”, how when I submitted a request for help through Uhaul roadside assistance and was called within 5 mins just to be put back on hold with customer service. Everyone I encountered by way of Uhaul staff was nice but I can't believe that I'm still getting charged for a rental I didn't even use and that none of the people I worked with stopped that charge from going through. This experience just taught me that I might as well spring the extra hundreds of bucks to get movers with their own truck because that's about how much I shelled out anyway dealing with the mismanagement of Uhaul.

App was utterly useless. I had to wander all over the parking lot checking every vehicle for a code number only to be instructed to go back inside to get the key. There was only one person working there so I had to wait in line for 20 minutes after wasting my time with the app. When I tried to return the vehicle I took pictures of my odometer reading 6 times each time it was rejected by the app. The location itself was fine. The app was absolutely terrible.

The Young Lady that delivered my container, I believe her name is Tiffany, She was the one that made at least a 2 star, she was professional, courteous, and tried extremely hard to help with my UBox rental. I can't remember the rest because they were horrible. Everything else was terrible. Except Ms Tiffany. Very disappointed at the start, but box arrived on time, in tact and the Florida location staff got it there safely and picked up the empty container, expediently.

Space shop on 14th street was our original location, but they failed to reserve our truck. We were forced into a drawn out ordeal where uhaul did not seem to care to make things right. We had to rebook at this new much farther location and then pay the extra mileage/gas. The truck was greasy and sticky inside. We will not be using uhaul again. Horrible service and I wish I had my money back.

To whom it may Concern; ON July 9 I reserved a 15ft truck to be picked up at 8am on July 17th. And returned that day. By 4pm. ON the 16th I called the UHaul Avondale to confirm my pickup for the next morning at 8am. Which they did confirm. I arrived at 7:45 to pickup my truck and There were 4 people in line who , did not have reservations. So I waited , on the one person who was working the counter . When I finally got to the counter they did not have a 15 and only one 20ft they would let me have for the same price. The young lady wrote up the contract and gave me the key. And said to go outside and see HER MANAGER JOSH, as to where the truck might be? Which I did, JOSH said the truck was parked up front of the lot about 25yards away . So I went up and did not find the truck I I then came back and found Josh and ask again if he know where EL 5293 was, HE said “you can't use that truck , its full of concrete” HE took me back to the office and ask the girl at the desk to give me another truck to which she responded she did not have one…. Josh then opened a drawer on the right side counter and started going thru keys until he found one and said “HE can use this one. TT 7503E HE and I went back out he pointed me up the hill again about 25yards away and said it was the one with the open back door. I went got the truck and drove it down to where JOSH was working with another customer . I showed him both the odometer and wrote down the mileage 101668.0 and that the gas gauge was just below the ¼ Tank marker also that the truck had a bad gas cap sensor , as it was telling me to check the gas cap . To which Josh replied it's the sensor we have ordered the part and it hasn't come in yet. Also a nice dent on the driver side of the body to note. Josh then sent me two links to my new contract on the TT7503E which DID not work or said it had timed out , before I could up- date the contract. Also the truck had just been turned in and was not even clean. There was an empty beer can in the glove box.. for christ sake. So I called the 1-800 number and had a customer service rep put in the correct contract. I also ask if I could return the truck in Griffin Ga. As opposed to Avondale and was informed the truck needed to return to Avondale. No problem. I returned the truck at 3;47 pm that day. And was told to park it and it was all good to go . I even went inside and no one was at the desk but a service guy said it should be no problem??? Famous last words.. So I get my bill on Sunday July 18th . as you can see, go to page 3 of the above PDF . they are now charging me $30. Fuel service and $25.50 for fuel when I made sure it had a ¼ of a tank when I turned it in. I called the Avondale U haul and spoke with a gentlemen and HE went and confirmed that the truck indeed had a ¼ tank and had been mis read and issued me a credit SEE Receipt Above . Now Tuesday July 20th I check my U haul statement and LOW AND BEHOLD , There is no mention of the credit but now I am being charged $166.27 for a truck I never got? see page 1 &2 of the PDF above ?? What the hell is going on here!!!! They have charged my Credit card $317.57 I want this straightened out ASAP and I want the damn Credit IMMEDIATLEY . Please contact me on my Cell phone if you have any question.s

Please, don't talk on the phone to other people while checking out customers. It is confusing. It is difficult to understand who you are talking to when. And it is rather uncomfortable when workers need to use their phones to take pictures of ID and are also having personal conversations. And if you must have a personal conversation while dealing with customers, please watch your language and refrain from phrases like "retarded ass."

Reason for low grade is everytime I called I would immediately be put on hold and no one would come back and answer. Samething happened 3 times in a row. I believe the problem is not having anyone to answer calls. Calls are being answered by front desk while they are also trying to take care of walk in customers. Should hire people separate to answer phones.

I have always used it's located. It used to be the best on the Eastside, but now not so much, maybe it's under new management now however, the guy Jerrell was at Sevice desk was very nice. This location is 100% unable to reach by telephone which left us in the dark for over a week while our moving help tried to reach them to verify our U-Box was there. I will never recommend anyone uses U-Haul nor will I ever again. The 1-800 customer service line is an absolute joke as well. I waited on hold for 45 minutes just for one of your employees to hang up on me because he was frustrated with us being unable to find our U-Box. Absolutely horrible experience.

The staff was apathetic at best. Also - when I brought the vehicle back I was told to simply leave the keys inside and I'd be emailed a receipt - I asked if I needed to do anything else and was told “np” An hour later I received a call asking when I'd be returning the truck. I explained I already returned it. They said “okay - we'll get it checked in”. An hour after that I received another call asking when I would return the truck - I explained the situation in detail again. I was told it would be taken care of and I'd be sent an email receipt. When I received the email receipt I was charged $30 for fuel and a $34 fuel fee. The truck had only been used for les than two hours and only 20 miles round trip - couldn't have been more than two gallons of gas. I'm not sure that the fuel fee is justified. Overall I was charged approximately $118 for a two hour rental and 20 mile round trip. I feel as though I've been ripped off. I will not rent from Uhaul again and will advise anyone who asks to avoid them as well.

I came in for my scheduled appointment to find that the part was not available. Had to reschedule, was pretty inconvenient. If you knew you did not hve the part, a notice would have been nice.

The customer service was terrible. We were lied to repeatedly on when our ubox would arrive and there are things that should be disclosed if you do not have an actual address starting such as major delays once you get a chance to update or that you will not be allowed to update until UBox lands in the area. The worst part was that we were assured our UBox was on delivery truck on specific day and that it would come no matter what because it was for sure on truck. We waited in empty home all night with no sign of UBox or call. The next day we were told we would be first stop to which we did not get delivery until about 12pm the next day after having our calls ignored until calling from a blocked number, ridiculous! I know 12pm was the first stop of the day. I would not recommend this to anyone who actually wants their furniture and items in a timely and professional manner. I can not get over how much of a disaster this experience was for me. They claim we'll get a $50 credit for delivery but with the lies and ignoring I don't think they deserve a single penny for the horrible delivery given. Would not recommend 100%!

The service was completely atrocious. The schedulers were extremely rude most of the time. The drivers was late the first day, likely not her fault because she seemed like a really nice lady. A driver was supposed to pick up the containers on 6/27/2021. They were late picking up by a full day. This was a huge deal because we sold the house on 6/28/2021. It was truly a nightmare dealing with Uhaul on this one. Normally I am a pleased customer but Uhaul really dropped the ball on this one. To add a cherry on top I had a discount code in and it magically disappeared. I hope you guys can make it right.

Every aspect of this experience has been a nightmare. You cannot get anyone on the phone without at least a 30 minute hold. Half the time the system hangs up on you. The boxes were not picked up in time, not even the same day. They were left blocking the driveway so that the buyer of my home couldn't get their moving truck in the drive. The U-boxes were to be delivered to my new home yesterday for movers to unpack this morning. Still no delivery of U-boxes. Stay away from this clown of an organization at all costs. You will regret using U-Haul!!

The front reception was unprofessional. She answered her cell phone while assisting me with a.billing error. She seemed as if she was tired, and needed rest. I could barely understand what she was communicating, because her words were muffled. Overall, my issue was propery handled, and she thanked me in the end. We had a horrible experience with U-Haul. First, it was very cumbersome to make reservations. We had extremely long waits to speak with a representative each time we called. Then they were very slow in Atlanta where we picked up the trailer. The worst was trying to drop off the trailer in Savannah area. U-Haul gave us one address to drop off both our trailer and truck. We got to the address and the man there said he only would accept the truck. So then, after unhitching the trailer, we had to reconnect it and U-Haul told us to drive another 20 min to another location. The location was closed but we could do our drop off online, which would have been fine except the mobile app wouldn't accept the return as it had us at the first location!! We literally spent an hour on the phone trying to get this resolved. Our afternoon was spent trying to return a trailer and needless to say we are very disappointed in the service.

The reasons for the low score: 1. The access hours should be until 10:00 PM like other storage facilities. Just because one person disobeyed the rules doesn't mean that the hours should have been changed for everyone. 2. I do not appreciate receiving a phone call every month from your staff to remind me that my due date is coming up. This is child's play and I do not appreciate it. As a customer, I signed a contract agreeing to pay our bill by a certain date, and if I don't, there are late fees and other measures in place that I must adhere to in order to keep my account active. I don't need to reminder phone calls. Just follow the contract. 3. An emergency contact should not be required to rent a unit. At the beginning of the pandemic, I lost my job, therefore, understandably, I was three or four days late in paying my bill a couple of times. However, each time, as punishment, a letter was sent to my emergency contact informing them of my lateness. Emergency contacts should only be used in the event of an emergency, not because I'm a few days late making my payment! Overall, I do not agree with the way business is conducted at the Avondale U-Haul Storage. Until this location gets new management, I will not recommend this place to anyone.

I don't complain about much...BUT!!! I reserved a 'Climax Control Storage Unit. I was given a "RESERVATION NUMBER ON-LINE." I traveled from Boston to Georgia. When reached Uhaul Storage of Avondale I was told that the last climax control unit was given away that morning. Now that's DISTURBING with FALSE PRETENSE!!! My family was exhausted, tired and wanted to complete our temporary move. I have come to the conclusion that Uhaul "bets on that once the customer is there will take what's available. To which at that moment I had to accept. "Business for you, INCONSIDERATE for me the customer!!!"

There is trash everywhere on the ground at the two loading dock areas. There are no trash cans insight for customers to use and the staff doesn't take pride in the workplace enough to pick it up. There are too many staff member cars parked near the loading docks. Uhaul trucks and vans are often left parked by loading docks for days. One was even full of rotting trash that smelled bad. Every time I wanted to load or unload items it was difficult to find a spot under the roof area of the loading dock

So many issues. Took months to get issues resolved, and seemilngly lack of process awareness across the board. Last day being overcharged for renting a truck after utilizing storage facility for 2 years was the final straw. I didn't even utilize the truck for a full 8 hours and was charged for 2 days, that made no sense. Regular customer service helped with that matter, however the employee at the site was not helpful at all. Hopefully the new management can pull it together.

Dyonn if I'm not mistaken the manger, made my experience with uhual much better. He has great customer service skills, and goes above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. My previous experiences has been horrible, I was disrespected by the older manager who is a woman I do not recall her name, she has horrible customer service skills and is extremely rude I'm surprised she is in the position that she is in. I told myself I would never use uhual again. However I am happy they have someone such as Dyonn working at this location who actually listens to the customers concerns and can do their job well.

Love the facility and the ease of checking in online. However, instructions regarding how to access the facility were not clear. I needed to "check-in" first before using the keypad to access the facility. Also, it was after hours and no information was provided to indicate that I would need a 24-hour access card. Thankfully, there were other customers in the building at the time of my move in, otherwise I would have been stranded outside in the cold.

I ended up not using any UHAUL services, this time around. I demanded a refund, actually. I reserved a storage unit and truck 3 weeks in advance. Went to check on the unit 1 day before moving, and was sent on a wild goose chase to 3 different UHAUL facilities before being so emotionally drained, I ended up in tears at the last facility (the "new guy" didn't know what he was doing and kept insisting that he didn't have the storage unit I needed until I burst into tears and he FINALLY went to get someone that knew what they were doing). I will never ever use Uhaul again after this experience. I come from a military background, and have used Uhaul my entire life, and will strongly urge my family to never use you all ever again either. Extra Space Storage is a much better company. They have 5 star reviews on google, the lady there was SO SWEET to me. Clean facilities. I called them the morning of my move, told them about my Uhaul experience and they took care of me right away. Cheaper units as well. I know Uhaul won't care that one person and her family doesn't use their services, but the peace of mind of dealing with a company and people that treat you well makes a world of difference for me. Be well.

I was humiliated by a supervisor of yours because I let down unit door to just change a blouse which was quick, she was a few units down talking to three other people, sounded as if she was training one of them, she stated three times that she can evict me and stated a lie that I've been coming there at night. Is this what we do to each other, I've never been there at night and whoever was with her thought it was so funny laughing twice when I mentioned I was put out and I'm Homeless, the mind set some folks have I try not to understand cause that wasn't right at all, I was using unit 1946 which I moved out was too humiliated to stay! Why do I keep getting charged for things that I am not using? I was charged for a lock that I paid for the month before. I was charged for a unit the MONTH after I cleaned it out and the facility put a lock on it. Just say yall extort people and let it be that. No need to pretend that this company cares about people.

To be honest, I have to answer the questions you asked in the way that I did. What you didn't ask was: Did my acces card ever work in 3 1/2 years? Answer: No. Did my code ever work in 3 1/2 years? Answer: No. Did an alarm sound every time I entered my space? Answer: Yes. Was the place UNDER-staffed (by mostly friendly people)? Answer: Yes. Did your website work when trying to move out? Answer: No. After calling Uhaul directly, did it solve the problem? Answer: No. Did you receive a bill and a phone call saying I owed even after having called Uhaul to move out? Answer: Yes! Your leading questions do not help your facility get better. Ask more comprehensive questions and you might get a better facility. That's why the poor rating.

Service was overall good, but wait time was 45min to a hour from the point of arrival and getting the access card to my storage unit. The line was growing and customers were becoming extremely impatient, as only one person was working the main desk. The young man did an excellent job by remaining professional and managing the disgruntled customers. He was conductBig business between 2 POS stations at once, to try to keep the line moving. To add insult to injury, the POS was acting up and he had to manually key in payment details. In a huge facility there was no one willing to help out or any back up available, although the line was long and steadily growing . If I hadn't had movers scheduled to arrive, I would have gone to another facility. The wait time is always long and there seems to only be one person scheduled, even before the pandemic this was my experience. About 2 years ago I had previously used this storage location to store some items and unfortunately had the same experience. A manager never jumped in to assist or even approach their customers to say we apologize for the wait and this is after a customer demanded to speak with the manager, I never saw the manager came and they sent a message to the customer via the ear communications system.
