Marcus was a class act. I showed up NEEDING a vehicle 15 minutes before the location closed. He exemplifies customer service and he's definitely an asset for the company and this particular location. The gas was on e. So I put in 20 gallons of gas. I had about 38 miles to golcanyon. Drop off at storage. Than 38 back. If you had a chart showing distance and amount of gas I would of put in 10 gallons of gas. You can have a chart for flat roads . A chart for hilly roads.brian M.

The staff member (young guy) who helped me at the store on Apache was very helpful!, This was after the store at 800 McClintock did not open on time to honor our reservation -- that was not helpful at all! However, the customer service person whom I called at the 800 number helped me get the truck I needed from the Apache store. Lastly, I did not find the fuel measuring tool on the contract accurate --it caused me to buy at least 5 gallons extra when returning the truck.Barry S.

Truck was old and would ride with a jerking motion going down the highway. Windows were not clean. The driver side door has an air gap near the top and air flow and water would enter. Wheels had caked on mud.Glenn T.

Ensure the right pickup location is verified. I waited 45 minutes on hold at my requested pick up location only to find out that it wasn't confirmed, even though I spoke to someone a few days prior to change my drop off location. I was never told the pickup location didn't have the trucks available. I would have easily went to a different location 2 miles away and saved myself the hassle of waiting on hold.Kevin S.

I had to visit 3 different UHaul locations before I could drop off the trailer I rented. The first location was where the contract stated. When I got there, the Manager stated they were over capacity and couldn't take it. I mistakenly volunteered to drop it off closer to my house (13 miles away), and she said that would be great. Upon arriving at the 2nd location, the Manager refused to accept the trailer because it was not the contract. I spent over 1.5 hours waiting on the phone to contact someone to change the drop off location. The Dispatch office never answered the phone after 5 tries and 50 rings. Needless to say, UHaul customer service regarding drop offs is worthless and a negative rating. The 2 Managers that I spoke to did not help at all and inform of the drop off requirement. I had to drive over 50 miles extra to drop the trailer off. Be forewarned if you are renting something 1 way about the drop off requirements. U-Haul should train their staff to help the customer not burden them with their companies problem.DOUGLAS H.

After hours check in didn't work. I couldn't get the website to get my location. Calling the phone number resulted in 30-60 minute hold times to confirm the trailer was received. I never got an email closing out the rental unless this survey is intended to be that email.Chris M.

I didn't have any issues at this uhaul location. My problems were with the online reservation. I was sent to the storage facility down the street and was supposed to be able to check out a 10' truck which was there at the facility. Unfortunately I had no instructions on how to do this because I selected check out at counter and no one was there. I went further down the street to the location at 2340 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ 85281 and was helped there. I was informed that even if I had been able to do the mobile pickup, I wouldn't have been able to because the keys were dropped off at this facility. The uhaul system was being extremely slow so I waited for a long time. The only redeeming aspect of my rental were the employees at this uhaul facility, that understood my frustration and helped me get a different truck. It is unfortunate that the great customer service I received was overshadowed by everything else.JULIAN R.

I had to knock on the back door before I was able to find anyone. The employee seemed like he was having a really rough day and hated his job. I tried not to judge because we've all been there. I'm sure the pay isn't great and I expect that the company is a typical corporate workplace. I'm putting this one mostly on the employer, not the employee.MAX W.

The charged significant extra fees after asking me to bring a truck back in the evening and then charged a 20.00 after hours fee! Additionally I sent an email to the GM and never heard back, Also the truck I reserved was not available and I had to take a different truckKristyn J.
Pay your quality employees more or someone will. The guy behind the counter knew what he was doing, got it done in reasonable and professional manner; like he has every time I've been in. I don't remember his name because the transaction was flawless which made it easily forgettable until I specifically try to recall details. I do know that guy has been there every time I've been in the store. I specifically DON'T want to have a memorable experience at a uHaul store. I want to go in, conduct business, then go move big and/or heavy things from A to B. So keep it up.Daniel V.

On the contract make sure the employee doesn't lie about the condition or fuel level. The fuel level was 1/4 of a tank and I was charged 253.00 because they said I took the truck full tank. I drove the truck only 19 miles There is no way I could use a whole tank of gas. I dont recommend this location.Monique R.

The self checkin app. Failed to work and had to restart several times. Than just at the the end it gave a truck to us that was not available. Had to hunt down the employee working to have the recheck us inalvin C.
All employees are super helpful, patient and listen to the customer. They have a great selection of moving supplies and did an excellent job hooking up our auto transport for a cross country move. I highly recommend this location!Tracy P.
