Was charged for cleaning because the uhaul app would not allow me to add photos to prove it was clean. Added photos and only got an error message. The app is a pain and I will not be using Uhaul again because of these errors

Everything there was fine (people/place). However, I reserved a unit on my own and it was no longer available. I ended up having to spend MORE money each month because of this. You should be honest when people "RESERVE" ahead of time and let them know if they NEED that size storage unit, the should reserve a larger one because theirs will not be available when they arrive. This is somewhat false advertising. STICK TO YOUR WORD! If I reserve something, this is precisely what I expect when I get there. Not having to find something else!!! RESREVATIONS are made on purpose. Have it available if you want customers to return in the future. Otherwise, you're not doing yourself any good if you can't stick to your end of the agreement!!!

Everything was great, the only problem was the truck I rented smelled really bad like cigarette smoke! In fact I even smelled like smoke after a few hours of driving around. Other than that it was a great experience and I will definitely use this location again. Thanks!

Overall very easy experience. Long line to pick-up truck because there was some major issue with a customers reservation, but once that was cleared up, the line went smoothly. Turn in was great. No hassles...truck was fine, but certainly not cleaned in the back.

Our experience with Uhaul was horrible. We reserved a 20 foot truck three weeks in advance of our move, and on 10/30 (the day before our move) we received a call telling us the reservation had been dropped. All they could do for us was book a 15 foot truck. When we arrived to the location the morning of our move, they had no truck for us. We were basically tearing our hair out, and when I called Uhaul asking for a second $50 refund because our reservation had been dropped TWICE, the woman I spoke to informed me that we lost our truck because we checked in late, which we did not. Thankfully, at the last second, David, a nice young man at the 2115 West St location was able to get us a 10 foot truck. Overall, I was astonished at this level of incompetency. The next time we move, we are going to try our absolute best to use another moving truck service.

After having my reservation confirmed the day before pickup I was told upon arrival that they did not have the equipment I had reserved. It was until they were able to swap a truck with another customer for the trailer I reserved that I was able to proceed with the day's planned move. U-haul has to do something about taking reservations for equipment they cannot provide.They use as an out small print in the reservation confirmation "if available". BTW their confirmation is only to confirm they received your request, not that they will have the equipment you requested. I will ALWAYS use an alternative and tell my friends and colleagues to do the same. They are just not reliable!

When I picked up the trailer I rented, I found one of the tail lights was out. The staff responded quickly, courteously and replaced the light so I could be on my way safely and legally. Really well done on the part of the two men who took care of my needs. They are to be commended. Well done!

People are great! I do have one issue. My Apple iphone was unable to connect to UHauls website. I was unable to upload a photo of my drivers license. After taking the photo...I hit the ‘use this photo' link and I would receive error messages. When I attempted to ‘checkout' the condition of the truck on your site, I received another error message. In addition, I was unable to change the fuel gauge amount on your ‘checkout' site. Maybe you should have a App as opposed to web based 😊

Upon pickup my fuel level was less than what was on the contract and the mileage was wrong. I walked back to the counter and the guy just told me to take a picture and add it to my contract, vs coming out to see it himself. Whatever that meant. The people were nice and the truck was clean but it had a horrible exhaust pipe rattle.

I moved from Baltimore to Annapolis area on Friday. My apartment was on 3 floor. I did the move myself. Friday evening I was finished loading up the truck. I still needed to empty truck. Got up Saturday went to storage facility to empty truck, realized no way am I going to have the truck back to UHAUL by 9:15am. Folks this is a 17'ft truck! I call the staff and tell them I won't have the truck back until noon. I finish what I needed to do and go to facility. U drop of truck and check out.....They said your all set we're not going to charge you anything extra. Yes I will absolutely use UHAUL again!!!! Great staff through entire process.

Kevin customer service skill are A+. He exceeds what is great in customer service. Communication, professional, knowledge of equipment was on point. The check-in staff was professional. and extremely busy. Under pressure with people waiting in line and telephone ringing -- he never lost his composure and pleasant demeanor. He remained representing the company in a 'come back again' attitude. There should be additional staff in the morning to assist with early morning check-in. Next to the best service I have experience since I have been a U-Haul customer (1996).

My storage was bought (Extra Space). I had automatic payments setup. I was charged a late and lied fee when I didn't reply to the notice. But I travel for the government and was overseas when the notice came. It was terribly unfair to be charged these fees. I will not recommend u-haul to anyone.

Storage facilities can be hit or miss. The staff availability was low, but given everything with COVID that’s understandable. The locker I rented had a lock that didn’t prevent the unit from being opened, were it a long term rental I would have had them fit it with the proper lock. Great staff, not trying to get anyone in trouble :)

Note that this was the alternate location. Primary location was moved 30 mins. before my arrival due to previous driver not returning it. I received a phone call from a regional specialist with U-Haul. I had to drive to another city, but was given a $50 credit for my troubles, which was very nice. But then when I turned the truck in at my destination, I was charged $15 for driving over the approved mileage. But I had to drive an extra distance to get the truck. Am frustrated with that, but not enough to fight it over $15.

Did the contactless pick up, however I had to go into the building and stand in line to get the key to the van and the hand cart that I ordered with the van. The additional verification is a joke and makes no sense. If I was someone who had an ulterior motive for the use of the van, I could of had a second phone on me or someone else involved be the contact.

BUT THE SALESPERSON ON PHONE NEEDS TO BE TRAINED IN HOW TO BE MORE SPECIFIC IN DESCRIPTIONS OF STORAGE UNIT ABOUT TO BE FILLED FROM LARGEST SIZED UHAUL TRAILER TO NOT MAKE IT SO AWKWARD, WE WOULD STILL BE UNLOADING THIS MORNING FROM YESTERDAY AT NOON IT SEEMS. WAS HORRIBLE FIT FOR MY NEEDS. THEY DID ACCOMMODATE ME TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY, But would have preferred honesty or better description in the original sales talk on phone so i could have been prepared to go to another Uhaul storage if necessary. It will do for now. I have no choice.

Trailer had leaves in it when I picked it up. The customer service was exceptional as the employee went out of his way to help install the trailer and used a piece of their own equipment (extension) to ensure safety. Thumbs up to U-Haul!

I set up storage unit in advance from a distance. When we arrived to empty trailer, description of storage unit had never been clearly stated. I assumed I would have been backing into a garage setting with adequate size for large sized u-haul trailer. All information already given when ordered had to be re-entered. I still, assuming the same scenario went ahead and got the moisture control storage. When I arrived at the storage space, to get to it was so awkward, I would never ask a single soul to unload all my belongings into a very narrow hallway, in which they had to maneuver into and around a corner and yet about another 25ft. to a storage unit door on left with storage unit direction into the door and sharply to the left. MOST AWKWARD STORAGE SITUATION I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! Those should be for people unloading some things out of the back of a car, not a whole u-haul trailer packed full to the top. Not only was that totally unacceptable, it was absurd that they would even have expected and lined somebody up like that. It was almost torture after such a long trip in such a short amount of time. There were good in ultimately accommodating me for now. But it certainly still would not have been my first choice. If they did not have what I was originally expressing I needed when I ordered the space, they should have been more honest in communications. I felt duped. But at that moment, I had no other choice. I am still a bit perturbed. But I am in no position to change anything now. But I do believe your sales people should have more integrity in their word. I had expected such a long lasting business to be more trustworthy with their word and descriptions. Perhaps it is just a sign of the times. Not sure. But they really need to take a better look at that in upper management. Thank you.

The guy running carton fuel on forest drive on Annapolis pressured me into returning the truck, then charged me a second time, causing havoc with my bank account. Three days later, my money has still not been returned to my account and my bank does not see the pending refund.

The company is so shoddy and badly organized that they don't even realize that I'm not a new customer. I've been at the storage facility for over a year. My first contact with them was when they spammed me trying to sell me insrance. My second contact was when they told me I had a late fee because they weren't getting the automatic payment that I set up ages ago. I'm disappointed that they've taken over the facility and will probably just move my stuff to a place that seems to have it together a little better.

If this feedback is truly considered of value it is my hope that explanation regarding return procedure is better understood for customers. I returned my truck rental and appliance dolly to the service center 3;12 minutes past the 24 hour period and was charged another full day rental for truck and appliance cart. Also I returned truck 100% satisfied customer.

Equipment and service could not be better unless you served Pizza with every rental! All communications were courteous, very helpful, and I really appreciate the digital check in and towing compatibility verification. I knew my 1 ton truck could handle the full trailer but others may not and may load it unevenly and dangerously. And while my truck has electric brake wiring, the trailer has its own independent braking- a big plus. Things could not have gone smoother.

That contact less pick up Does not work very well. The program does not upload the picture or license very well. Kind of defeats the purpose because it forces you to have to go into the building to pick up the truck. Other than that, this is the best uhaul rental place I have ever use. Clean and courteous folks.

Transport was faster than expected. We did not originally request delivery to our house. We decided we would like it delivered but the local company could not deliver for at least two weeks (into October). It seems like it wouldn't be that hard to deliver one U-Box about 3 miles from the facility. (We emptied the box at the facility in one day, four trips). Could improve overall service with more U-Box local delivery slots.

Access to the site is a bit tricky as you can't enter directly from the east. It was a bit difficult to figure out where the truck was actually parked. The dolly I requested was not provided but I was charged for it. Turn-in was terrible. I got to the very last page and the site cleared itself. It took almost 40 minutes to turn the truck in.

After I had reserved a 15´truck with car tow for the date of August 28, 2020, for the Annapolis location, I received an email stating that I would have to go to the Crofton, Maryland location. This caused me added stress because our plans were centered around the Annapolis location. I had to fight to get my original reservations remaining in Annapolis.

The phone ap did not guide me once I arrived at the facility - I had to go inside to check in. The time I spent completing the reservation on line was a waste of my time.
