Pick up was very frustrating and we were given the wrong keys which didn't realize until after we spent several minutes inspecting everything. Other than pickup the Uhaul it's self was great and worked well.Josh B.

The two male employees were aggressively rude, with no respect for the company/ brand they represent. Their lack of any customer service was apparent by the yelling and blatant disrespect of my wife and I when we had simple questions that they should have been able to answer without their disgustingly poor attitude. I've never had an interaction with a customer service person that cared so little about their customers and so easily referenced "not my job".Jesse W.

I made a reservation on line. First, before doing it I had to call the 800 number ad asked if the store was open because they did not answer their phone. The phone agent assured me if the vehicle I wanted was not available I would not be able to make the reservation and have to schedule another. I completed theonl line reservation and when I arrived at the store I attempted to use the online check in but couldn't because the system had rented me a truck that was not there.I had to wait in line anyway. Busy weekend only one person working the counter. After waiting for about ten minutes I was told the truck on line rented me was not available. I took a smaller truck and as I started to drive away noticed the check engine light on and the truck ran very rough. I went back inside and they did give me a different truck, They were nice about it but in my humble opinion, they could have offered an apology for the hassle. They did not. I understand mistakes happen but I have experienced this at least three times before which is why I called and asked first. Seems there is a disconnect in your system somewhere.micheal R.

Inform the Custermer that only one Key is given out not two as the Contract reads. Inform the Custermer that should the Oil need alert be present on the read out screen show that the Oil needs to be Changed be disregarded. The local Machanic makes this decision prior to the Custermer Driving the Pickup off the Lot. I had to Drive 123 miles round trip from Big Lake, Alaska to the U-Haul shop to make sure that I was in Compliance with the Contract. I was unable to resolve these concerns by Phone. I was informed that only One Key was given to the Custermer, not Two as the Contract Reads. The out of Pocket Costs if the Contract was correct could have made this Rental be at a very High Cost to Me. The other concern was that I was informed that there was a few types of Rental Costs to Coose From and the System would Price it out for me. In my return Flight Home to Green Valley, Arizona I Had the time to review my printed out U-Haul Receipt. The Total Charges did not Match up to the U-Haul Equipment Contract of $516.70 that I was given a Copy Of. The total paid was $897.63. IWas told at the time I Reserved the Pickup one Program Allowed a 750 weekly mileage Allowance prior to the .79 Cent Milage Cost. No consideration was for the Milage I had to drive to clear up the One Key and Need to Change The Oil Alert. The service by all Staff Members was warmly received and with a Smile. I'm left with the openion that the Computer System failed to get me the best and Lowest Cost on this Chevolet Pickup Truck or it may have been in the over all Communication Between All Parties. My very Best to all the Staff Members that Serviced my Needs.ROBERT V.

They offer the $50 guarantee, I show up to pick up the truck and there are none. Told to come back a couple hours later. I do, the truck is filthy, and the windshield is completely cracked in its entirety making it unsafe, then the check engine light comes on. I reached out to customer service and I was told I would have been contacted by the store manager within three days and it has been five. We set this rental up on-line and were told the 4751 Old Seward Hiway location did not have the truck we needed and we were directed to a U-Haul at South Side Storage way South of 4751 Old Seward. After it was all set up on-line we received a call that we needed to go to 4751 to pick up the truck. This caused our mileage and time estimates to be off. Perhaps there is some glitch in the on-line reservation system. Anyway, all turned out well.Michael B.

The staff is always great here. This is my second time using this location and it's always fast and easy even with them being very busy in Midtown. A van wasn't available but I got a truck at the same rate. It ran good for my move in town. When I pulled in to return it they were out to receive it. Storage experience was excellent. I appreciated the security protocols, and especially the climate and humidity controls since I stored art works as well as photos. I would encourage management to add desk personnel during hours of high customers numbers to reduce the line wait time. I moved out properly and I was still charged rent the next month and even a late fee. I called this location and was never able to get a hold of anyone, and would have to wait literally hours on the general customer service line. If you keep defending your staff who works at a slug pace with terrible service - then you'll keep gettin bad reviews. This only applies to the manager Steve and the young guy with the long hair and ponytail. Ridiculous and will tell everyone here not to use. Code was wrong. I had to go in. Girl at the counter said my code would work. It did not. Came back a 2nd time and the code still did not work. I was then informed that access to storage on my side is only until 7 pm? I still don't know if that's true but the fact that there is confusion about whether or not I can get to my unit at the quote AND EMAILED time 5am to 10pm pisses me off. I will not be getting a 2nd month and I will move my business elsewhere. My code did not work so the girl gave me a new code. That one worked, but it should never have even been an issue. Hi so I reserve a storage where I have an access for 24 hours and when I got there they didnt even know I had a storage unit reserved and on top of that i thought when u sign up reserve we get free automatic pad locks? I have to pay for the lock waited and greeted with unpleasant attitude but thats fine because it seems like the guy was having a bad day and hard day. So i was wondering if The one i signed up and reserved to have an access for 24hours is available because thats why i rented the uhaul so I can go back and fort. And I didn't have the chance to look at my reservation space? The young man working the front desk lacks in customer service skills. I feel that he is not knowledgeable about the storage options and he did not provide clarity about location of the unit we rented and did not mention that uhaul had their own locks on the unit. The person that answered the phone when we realized we could not access the unit due to being locked, was very helpful and had someone come unlock the unit for us very quickly. If you want a square to put your belongings in, Uhaul has expensive rooms for that. If you want to wait forever in line, Uhaul knows how to waste your time. If you wanted to be offended, Uhaul hires the best customer service people for that. I'll tell you, if I am providing you a good amount of money for a weak service, and your employees give me any attitude (hateful female I have encountered twice), or do not make me feel valued as a customer; I will create accounts around the web and make this review noticed. You want to waste my time, charge my card and hold my money, and then when I call to speak with the General Manager, Steve Womack doesn't answer. What a disgrace to the Uhaul community. My experience with Uhaul storage was perfect until the day I moved out. I had reserved a 10' truck to move out my belongings on the last day of my billing cycle. The reservation was for a return trip with a base cost of $19.99. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was told by the Asst. Mgr there were no 10' trucks to rent, that Uhaul had overbooked. I was then told there was a 10' truck but it was only for one ways and it would be $118 and I'd have to drop it off at another Uhaul location. I was not going to pay $100 more for a truck especially b/c this was not my fault. Nor did I have the time to drop the truck off on the other side of town. I instead started unloading my storage with my car but because the location closes at 7 I had to return the next day to finish. The Asst Mngr said I wouldn't be charged for the next month since I was now on day 1 of the next billing cycle, but I was charged and had to speak with a Uhaul rep (Raymond - who was excellent!) about reversing the charges. I had to take off the 1/2 half of this day from work in order to empty the storage unit as well. Lastly, when I asked about the $50 guarantee that's posted on your wall behind the counter, I was told my reservation didn't qualify because of the overbooking. This makes no sense. I made a reservation - the reservation was not fulfilled. It caused me all sorts of trouble, but the guarantee isn't valid because you overbooked? I have worked as a Logisitics Manager the past decade and have both used Uhaul for personal moves as well as for work related moves. I'll be hesitant to put myself in the same position with the company going forward and will be looking at other options.Jeff F. | Overall Experience
