I picked up an auto trailer & the individual that did the hook up failed to secure the excess wiring for the lights. It came apart & by the time I had made my first stop to check my load, the connectors had been ruined from dragging on the ground. This caused an unnecessary delay in my trip because I had to stop for repairs.

The online check in was glitchy and would not allow an iPhone to take the required photos. We switched to another phone and finished check in. We went to pick up the key inside and the staff seemed very unorganized and has no idea what was going on. They couldn’t find the key for the truck of the customer in front of us, they parked another truck directly in front of ours as we were inside picking up the key because they had no idea it had been rented. The appliance dolly we prepaid for was not waiting for us and we had to keep telling them that we had paid for it already. Not the smoothest experience at all.

I was incorrectly charged for fuel I did not need to refill, and I did refill the truck I rented before returning it. The staff was confused most of the way through the process, I was given incorrect information, and noticed not all employees were giving the same instruction to customers in the store at the same time as me.

No customer parking. Only for 15 mins. I left my car parked in their truck parking. That's why I gave it that below average rating. Overall, the customer service was quick and exceptional. The counter person requested a colleague to load the truck with the necessary equipment. He left. The counter person found, he didn't do as told. He said it was too hot to do that in Spanish. The counter person loaded the truck and told me, it was ready. Another thing, too:. I'm trying to get a copy of my itemized bill after service. Can't from my dashboard.

A male co worker at this location at 8 am treated his female counterpart who was at the front desk very unprofessionally. He was Disrespectful towards her and acted like whatever problems she was having at the computer were “ her” problems because he was no longer working in that area. I feel he should have been more respectful toward her and offered her whatever help she needed— or at least had been understanding and less “ curt” towards her, especially in front of customers. Working as a professional team means coworkers share the load.

When I dropped the vehicle off nobody said a word to me outside so I walked in the store to wait in line for 30 minutes to be told your receipt was emailed to you soI didn’t have to wait in line. I took it back a day early with more gas in it then when I got it. The people in this location did not seem happy at all and were very very slow

I get that Uhaul is inundated with negative reviews because it's a service/accommodation business and people are surprised with "surprise", dollar-a-mile charges and insurance and customer service experience (I had to wait 10 minutes to get my truck, oh my God what a disservice), but I've never had a bad experience in my years of renting from this location. The staff I've worked with are always professional, concise, and polite to a fault. Please keep providing excellent service and reasonable rates. As a side note, your trucks are actually more efficient than I imagined. A well maintained fleet with a professional front. More businesses should be run as such. Cheers. -James S, Orlando FL

The representative provided good service, but I was quoted and amount and billed a different amount. This is a rip off. I was told I would be charged $8 a day for insurance, which is equivalent to $ 24 but was billed $52. total scam.

Great to have a corporate location close by, they always have the accessories you need, in had a small issue upon return as we ended up not using the blankets (still wrapped) and the person outside sent me inside to correct, small line inside and once I did get to the counter the GM informed the guys outside that they could have removed the charge since they were never used , her cleared it up quickly and professionally

Went to return the trailer and the business was no longer affiliated with U-Haul. They have picked up their equipment on the 19th of May. We should have been notified. It made for a big inconvenience to have to go to a further location to drop off the trailer. Communication was poor with this issue. Very disappointed and Uhaul.

Saturday May 18thy 1976 Honda Gold Wing 9 miles from home. I hate leaviing it so I started pushing it. After to miles I aught to call Chris at Uhaul to see. If he could help, I was less than 2 miles away. He stated the were.in a lull, he got in his truck came and got me. Rented me a truck and trailer, I got the motorcycle home. I went to that location and rented a pick up for 4 hrs I inform him that I wasn’t going to be able to return the truck at the east colonial location because I was driving to Kissimmee he told me that I can just return it to any other uhaul location and the next day my card was charged for a fee for returning it the wrong location he told me specifically that i could return it at the Kissimmee location I am extremely upset this was the worst experience I’ve ever had I will never used U-Haul anymore

When we rented the U-haul, we were told it would be $19.95 for the van plus .79 for every mile, & $10 for insurance. It wasn't until after I returned the van that I saw I was charged hidden fees that they never told me about. What I was told would originally cost around $40 give or take on the milage costed almost $70. Bad business.

Truck was there at promised time, it was even cool because they had turned AC on, and it smelled really good. All of the nicks and dents were marked with Xs. Josh Remy was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, I would definitely rent from this location again. Thank you Uhaul!

The location lacks personnel. overall the service and location was average. the service over the phone, on the other hand, was less than professional. I had a question since I was "quoted" over the phone an amount of $79.01 which included insurance, taxes and 60 miles for the rental of a 10 ft. truck. then I returned the truck afterhours and received the bill next day with a discrepancy of about $6 or $7. Also when in store I was told that if I would go over $79.00 I would be quoted a "flat rate" during my call to customer service they insisted that the I was not quotes but given an estimate, Although I was assured that was a quote and that there is not a flat rate applicable. This types of discrepancies lower my level of trust with this company. Not very happy with the service provided. I usually would rent from UHAUL for local and one way. I will think twice before I bring my business back to UHAUL. Ordered a dolly as well as a van. Online reservation said the dolly would be in the van. After driving to my house, it was not. When we returned to pick it up we were told “you did online check in” in response to asking why it wasn’t there in the first place. Double check everything before you leave, but otherwise clean, well-functioning equipment.

I was given the wrong van at pickup, and they still charge me for the wrong mileage and gas. Britney, the rep at the location was arguing with me about “doing my due diligence before driving off”. Meanwhile, the van was already started up by the other rep on site. Such a horrible experience I had today. Maybe if you do your “due diligence” I would not have driven off with the wrong van. Own up to your fuckup and stop arguing with your customers about mistakes you made!!

Get a whole new staff. Inform the customer that you need a major credit card for cargo van Uhaul. When a customer explains they have never driven a uhaul. There should be time taken out to show them all the features of a uhaul. I was told one fee when return the vehicle my whole paycheck was used. Which caused me to be stranded in Orlando. While my daughter was in Bradenton. I have used Uhaul for over 20 years. I am highly disappointed. After this experience I may never use them again.

I had to enter the store for help because they had two random trucks hidden behind the building away from the rest of the trucks, and I couldn't find my assigned truck because of this. This makes sense for storage reasons, but added extra time for me and the staff at the location when I couldn't find my truck.

Poor performance of the staff and system. I could not remove the vehicle that was assigned me as it was behind another parked vehicle. When I went in to request help, an associate was sent to remove, and then they found that, that vehicle in front of the one i was assigned, was immobile. Then they changed the vehicle and assigned another one. The gas that was printed on it was not accurate. It showed on paperwork that it had about 5/8th when in fact it was only about half. When I reported, the guy at the booking had sent another guy to verify. He agreed with me, signed the paper I had that it was actually half, but I never got any communication, or a proof. I was already getting late. I was at the renting for more than 30 minutes in the process. When I returned the vehicle with in 24 hrs, as I was advised at the renting time, I was told I was one day behind. I think the guys at the desk needs to be replaced. He is bored and disinterested in the business. I returned with full gas, as i was not sure about these guys efficiency and did not want to be fined for their mistakes. I expect to be compensated or reimbursed for half tank gas, and for reduce the charges additionally for the poor service.

The problem is not the location is the uhaul reservation system. I a 17’ truck reserve online and when I got to the store they said they did not have it. The emailed said CONFIRMED in big bold letter so I assumed it is ready to go. But as the young man at the store points out right underneath the address for the location it said a that a representative will call me to confirm. You need to change the the email reads. If the location DOES NOT have the truck in stock, the email should NOT said confirmed... it should have it in big BOLD LETTER “RESERVATION RECEIVED LOOKING FOR TRUCK”. The way it is now is very confusing and it make customer angry when they get to the location and there is not truck. I ended up getting a smaller truck which meat I had to make two trips for the furniture. So I paid A LOT more in miles. NOT a happy customer. You need to fix the system.

For online pick-up. The key was not in the truck when I came to pick up the truck. I had to wait in line for 20 mins after the start of my reservation to get the key. I would recommend that all steps are good to go so this doesn't happen in the future.

The install took nearly 4 hours. I was told 2 to 2.5 hours. The wiring harness was changed to the plug in type instead of the splice kind. This should have reduced the total time for the installation....

Truck wasn’t dirty, but not clean, more like used. The cab was very uncomfortable which made it difficult to drive. Also didn’t seem to have enough power for the highway. Ironically I used almost the same amount of gas on the return trip empty and an hour less of driving. The biggest problem is that you charged me for insurance that I didn’t want.

When placing my reservation, I had to wait over 45 minutes in line for the customer service representative. There were other employees working throughout the store, and even though there was a line of customers waiting for assistance, none of the other employees came to the service desk to help the ONE customer service representative that was assisting us as the customer line kept growing longer. When I returned the trailer we rented, again, only ONE customer service representative was assisting customers. There was even another employee standing behind the service desk, looking at another computer; however, he never offered to help any of the customers that were standing in line. Fifteen minutes later, my husband calls me on the phone and says that we can go, because the employee that checks in the equipment told us we could go. My husband was outside waiting in line to return the trailer. I was still waiting in line inside when this happened, but I didn't have any paperwork to show that we had returned the equipment. So, this employee was able to print something out for me when I tracked him down to question him about having proof that we returned the trailer, which I was very grateful for. Still, I was seriously about to start complaining if he had told me I had to stand in line again. So unless you have all the time in the world and plenty of patience, don't use this location. They even make you park behind their facility in a parking lot belonging to a gym when you have to leave your vehicle to drive one of their trucks, and this is another thing I don't understand, why are the fifteen minute parking spaces angled in a direction that says no outlet or dead end? We had a terrible time turning our vehicle around in a very tight space, because we were pointed in the wrong direction, which was really frustrating to deal with.

The truck I rented on Tuesday was clean, service was excellent. When I rented on Friday, I was given a truck with a 3/4 filled tank. I was in a hurry to get loaded and put of Orlando before traffic got bad and did not report the truck's condition. In Saturday when I returned the truck with 3/4 tank full and called Orlando to advise. I was basically told too bad. I explained that I had a picture and could prove it, again, sorry. The recipient truck return called them and resolved the issue

The customer service was horrible. I ordered a week early. Ordered pads and dolly. They didnt have either. Told me another place on goldenrod had 6 pads but i would have to go get them. I get to that store. They had no idea what I was talking about. Never got pads. But was charged for them. And when I finish paying. They cashier guy was like. Here is your key. Its either parked over there or way over there. Look at key and find your van. It was a 1 way trip but he told me i had to return it to that exact location. I go out to start searching for van. I just had surgery. The van was completely closed in by other uhauls. I had to go back in and then they finally came out and helped me. No discount for not having what i ordered. And i did express check in and everything and nothing was even ready when I got there. There was not one customer in there. I walk im and say. Guess you were waiting for me. Lol. He said not really. What do u want. Sad. Been in customer service 20 years.

We could not drop off the truck here because a neighbor was arguing with us that we could not park on his property. We had a 20 ft truck and the lot was closed and locked and a part of the back of the truck was sticking out in the neighbors property. This is a terrible location for any drop off. We had to contact U-Haul and get another drop off location which caused us to use more mileage. Very unpleasant situation.

The app based checkout system did not work because there was an error that a vehicle had not been assigned. The system said That I should call the manager 24/7. I did. No answer. I called customer service. They couldn't fix it and tried to call him. No answer. I was picking up the truck after hours and had been assured it would be ready. I spent 35 dollars for an Uber to get me from the airport to the location. Out of desparation, I sent multiple texts to the manager who called and immediately began to shout at me about how he needs sleep and I was out of luck. He acted like a baby and had no accountability for his failure as a manager. He is a failure at customer service and most likely in most aspects of his life. I will never go to that location again, and I feel sorry for his wife who has to deal with a full grown child who needs to cry for his nap. I had been awake since 345am and flew across the country. He had no sympathy and is a pathetic excuse for a manager and most likely as a human being.
