The only problem I had was that the vehicle was not entered as returned until the day after I had returned it. It was then entered after I received a call telling me to return the truck (when it was there on time). Also I had received a text from u-haul requesting I return the vehicle to a different location plus another 20 miles farther away. I was already over mileage by 10 miles. I returned a trailer after a 3-hour rental. It was taken off our truck by a U-Haul employee. 3 days later I received a voicemail that I was going to be reported to the police if I didn't return that trailer by the end of day. I also had another 3 days of charges on my credit card. The location that called and left it's telephone number didn't answer my return calls. (I assume they were too busy.). I had to resolve the issue by explaining everything to a 3rd location to pass on. I told everybody I work weekends and would not be able to answer my phone. I asked them to leave a message. When the location supposedly fixed the problem - they called me but didn't leave a voicemail with any update. It is *supposedly* fixed now - but I am still waiting for pending charges to come off my credit card. But how did nobody ask or check if the trailer had come back - before calling me with threats. It was also the first call I had ever received from U-haul - jumping right to threats of police action. Seriously - you have some fantastic employees who helped us - and some downright awful employees.MATTHEW L.
My order was screwed up and the woman working the counter was very rude and didn't even try to help me. I ordered an appliance dolly, and she said I didn't when I did. She said that I would just have to call around and figure it out for myself. Not to mention when I went to leave with the truck I rented, there was about two feet of snow behind each back tire. Like you couldn't shovel that out? It took me almost 25 minutes of rocking the truck back and forth to even get out of the parking lot. My reservation was apparently lost/ not found. Had a 20 foot truck reserved with an appliance dolly, furniture dolly, and regular dolly. I also paid ahead of time for 2 mattress bags. When my husband showed up on the appointment day and time with the order and reservation numbers, nothing was found. Thankfully a 20 foot truck was still available, but they said they didn't have the furniture dolly we reserved. On top of that, my husband paid for the mattress covers AGAIN. Tried to charge me for another day. Van was brought back within an hour of due time, per the employee I spoke with at the time of pick up and confirmed it was ok to be within 1 hour. Brought it back at 9:58 and she clocked me in at 10:01. I was on sight at 9:50 but had to move it to the equipment rental sign. Did not think the equipment rental included vehicles. The employee that waited on me for the return was not only trying to lie about the 10:01, but was not going to even give me the credit even knowing it was returned b4 10:00. She was rude and needs and attitude adjustment for sure. Manager that was training a new employee at that time and stepped in to handle this return. What happened to customer service? Do you get any free miles with the $19.99/day rental of you vans? Just thought some miles were included w/o paying the $.69 a mile for the start.Lisa J.

Check-in Staff was unemotional, very little customer interaction. I was given the wrong truck to start and had to re-enter the store to fix the issue. Pictures for the Gas, Millage and Damage were all incorrect. I had to upload three pictures to correct the situation. Overall rating for Check-in POOR..... I was supposed to pick up truck at the Copley location at 830am. Got there did the on line check in and the rear loading door was frozen shut. Called the help line they directed me to go to vernon Odom location. Went there had to do the check in all over again and the loading door was also frozen shut. I reserved my equipment online and when I arrived was not told the location did not have an appliance dolly which was needed for my move. The staff did not say anything. When I went back in to complain about the truck idling weird I remembered and the lady then said that I'd have to pay full price to rent a regular dolly and that I also had to purchase straps out of pocket which were 15$. I was charged a late fee, Your after hour service needs improvement. I was on the property before before vehicle was late, your camera can verify me on site. However due to me having difficulty with questions checking vehicle back. Your system automatically charged me for a late fee. This was shared with no verification but charges remained. Y'all need to improve the self service option for pick up because it doesn't work. I was told online my truck assignment I walked to whole entire parking lot for 20 minutes could not find the truck. then had to go inside to stand a long line for another 20 minutes to be told a different truck and they needed my ID and credit card after I already uploaded it online. I am a very Unsatisfied customer. I rent a u haul truck for 5 hours and spent 98.21. I was charge extra for going over 40 miles plus replaced the gas that I used. I feel like I rented a truck and payed for mileage on top of gas mileage is a scam. 100 dollars for a truck for 5 hours is ridiculous. I askedto pick up truck in a different place, last minute it was changed to this location, and time was changed, made my life a living hell. I had a reason I wanted to pick up in that place close to where I was and then reroute to far away place , took up another hour of my time, and with time changed another hour off my schedule, I like most people like to stay on schedule, that is why I schedule it way before I needed the truck , then last minute was changed, very upset , will use another company next time, and there will be a next time .Cathrine B.
When I first received emails about the vehicle pick up, I was told to go to Storage King USA in Copley, Ohio at 9am. After arriving there to start filling out the pick up information, the location had changed to the U-haul location. I tried repeatedly to call uhaul before I left because of this sudden change, only to be on hold for over 20min with no answer. I decided to rush over to the other location with my driver only to be unable to fill out anything on my phone still. I had to go in to get everything sorted out. It went from getting my vehicle at 9am to around 940am. The fault isn't the location itself as it is whatever is wrong with updates on the website. I think that every location should do a pre-rental inspection with the customer. Just to make sure everything is working properly. The ramp to my truck was not working, but Fortunately I was able to improvise and move without using it.STEPHEN H.

I ordered a furniture dolly, utility dolly and furniture pads only to find out at pick up that the location had none of these items and had been out for weeks. The male employee who rented me my uhaul was very rude. He was a younger male with very long hair. He Rolled his eyes at me. I have never rented a uhaul or drove this large of a truck so I had some questions. Asking them were a bother to him it seemed. Also, when I returned my truck- he was still inside the store. It was around 7:05 and the door was still open- so I tried to go inside to quickly return my truck. He just yelled at me to go outside and do it because the store was â€œclosedâ€ even though the doors were still open.
