Good variety of units to choose from. Our climate controlled unit was always climate controlled. Easy access whenever we needed to get in. No problem with pests (insects or people!) They have supplies on hand at office if needed. Price was fairly reasonable for what you get and no problems with autopay system. Carts are available and there were no problems with the elevator. I opted for the virtual mobile pick up and it was taking forever to let me pick up the truck so I went inside and the two ladies working there were so nice and helpful and made it super easy.gage S.
Lakendra and Lawanna were Fantastic!!! I came in on saturday 8/28 to look at my unit and prepare for an estate sale. Lakendra took time to help me talk through viable options for my family heirlooms and remaining precious items from the past 45 years. Lakendra was extremely patient with me. She was super courteous and pleasant. i came back on sunday 8/29. Ms Lawanna helped me with vehicle reservation to move the items, as well as confirmation of storage room availability and places to potentially haul unwanted items to. My family is forever grateful to these ladies for their professionalism and compassion! I cant thank them enough!!! i sincerely appreciate Uhaul for a wonderful experience!!!Tiffanie R.

It wasn't clear to me that I needed to return the furniture pad blankets upon return of the vehicle, so I donated them along with some other stuff that I was carrying in the UHaul. I was then charged for not returning the blankets. It would be great if the regulations were clearly stated and employees verbally reminded customers of the policies upon pick-up.Mattie G.

My original drop off site was 8880 S Broadway in St. Louis. When I arrived the workers at the gas station informed me that they no longer were accepting u-hauls. My wife and I had to look up on google where I could turn in my uhaul on a Sunday. When I arrived at the Kingshighway location I was told that I had driven over my limit of miles. I had to composes myself because the lady working was very nice. This whole experience very stressful to my wife and me.Mike G.

I was given a different vehicle than what I reserved. I reserved a truck and that's what my email confirmation said. The app when I showed up said I had a van reserved, so that's what I was given. Not the end of the world, but the smaller vehicle required an extra trip and therefore more mileage and increased cost. Not something I wanted to argue about in line and not worth complaining, but I won't be going back to UHaul in the future is all.Ross M.

I bought the wrong size unit (which was my fault). When I attempted to by another unit the system was down which meant I had to keep the truck I rented longer. The U-Haul app is horrible. A map to your unit location should be in the app. Also the whole check in process on the app is terrible and I still had to go into the store to get the gate code. The lady that was there was super helpful. Over all if the application would have been better my experience would have been fine.Teresa M. | Online Move In

The U-Haul representative was amazing. However, the app changed our reservation to a location 20m in the opposite direction to the original location. We scheduled two hours and expected to have plenty of time but instead spent at least 40m driving to the rescheduled,out of the way location and barely returned the truck in time. Due to the automated rescheduling we will not be using uhaul again.Isabel D.

The place was fine. The online pick up and return DO NOT WORK. I was VERY unhappy with how the online system didn't work. We were charged the $20 return fee because the return just wouldn't work. If a service is offered, there should be a better way for it to work. After a long day of moving, the last thing you want is technology that DOESN'T WORK. I can't even begin to describe how extremely frustrating this experience was.Rebekah S.
The first truck I reserved was blocked in. I couldn't cancel my reservation on the app. I called the 1800 number to cancel the first reservation and was on hold for forty five minutes. I made another reservation for a smaller van that was slightly more accessible. It was still a tight squeeze to leave the lot. When I returned the van, I was unable to complete the return on the app. I couldn't pass step 1 because the photo of the odometer and fuel gauge would not submit. It was not an issue with my phone or internet connection. The app did not work.Margaret G.

The vehicle was where it suppose to be for electronic pickup. Then the place opened at 7am but noone showed up untill 7:45 after I called the emergency number but when I texted she responded. She showed up 45 mins later. When I went to drop off when finished I explained I didn't uses the furniture blankets and would like them taken of and she said she couldn't as she didn't know how. She said she had 2 days of training and been there two weeks. She told me to dispute it on my credit card. Then she said I didn't put enough gas in it but I added 7 gallons of gas and used less than 50 miles on truck. This location really needs to find a new manager. Honestly I would hold this manager accountable for this transaction from all aspects. I will do exactly what the employee said I will dispute the charges on my Amex card. Btw the van had 125k miles and barely shifted when driving.Michael S.

The location was okay, people fine. It's the UHaul experience was below average. When I booked online I was provided a different location. As i was trying to locate my rental the Kingshighway location called asking if I still needed a rental. When I arrived very little of the original booking was correct and changed by UHaul without notification. I was told I could not have truck for the 1 day as promised when I booked online, a different size truck was being provideD. Got truck size corrected yet told other families need truck to move. Seriously? What about my family. Called 800# to share my disappointment and met with shaming and incorrect information, passed to complaint department and later was disconnected.Busted my tail to get finished moving early. Sad situation because I had previously received good experience Doubt I rent from UHaul again.David H.

Owner don't want to fix problems inside with staff. I have tried to call and talk to her about what happen the night before she honestly didn't care you can tell in her voice. The people there we're Clueless, didn't know how to hook up the auto transport. It took them eight hours with our pact truck with my animals in it to get the tire change to try to hook up the auto transport. On the road at a gas station all of the cool and flew out of the truck. We had to get people help us. It was very costly on a personal level, it took three days because of the equipment breakdown. The woman that manages the st. Louis location got mad and hung up on me when I told her what happened. She tried to blame it all on us. She wasn't even at the store. She left two well meaning the totally incompetent people at the store to try to get the move-in process. All in all we finally made it and it was like coming out of a nightmare.Dawn D.

I had two storage units, one standard and one climate controlled. They both served me well but, if I ever need to rent another, I would rent the climate controlled option for most possessions. Having the extra protection from moisture and extreme temperatures is comforting. Recently, Christina helped me with truck rentals as well as closing out my spaces. She was knowledgeable, patient and fun to work with. I like the location of this facility. Nestled on The Hill, it feels safe yet conveniently placed at S. 1. Employee was not wearing a mask, which is a violation of the current local law (masks are required for everyone inside at businesses) as well as signs posted at the business itself, stating that masks are required. The mask mandate was not enforced for that employee or for customers - half were wearing masks, half were not. I feared that if I spoke up I would be denied the rental. 2. Although this same employee was friendly, he took 40 minutes to check me in, face to face, despite my having created the complete reservation online ahead of time and requested mobile check in. I was not able to begin using the vehicle until 40 minutes past the rental start time. Since I'd reserved it for just 2 hours, this meant I had the vehicle for just over an hour and a half. 3. The same employee did not practice 6-foot distancing requirements. 4. When making the reservation online I was required to create a password. When trying to log in from my phone it claimed it was the wrong password. When I tried multiple times to request a password reset, no code was ever sent to me, even though I entered the correct email and phone. No one at the 800# answered when I called to resolve this.ELODIE A.
