I personally went in to the U-Haul store on Grand Avenue in Billings, MT on Friday May 28th, and reserved a pickup truck for Saturday May 29th. I informed the girl at the desk that I wanted to pick up the vehicle on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. When I looked online at my reservation report, it stated I was picking up the vehicle at 8:15 PM on Saturday. I edited the information. On Saturday morning, I received a telephone call from U-Haul, informing me that the Grand Avenue location would not have a vehicle available for me, and that I would have to go to the Billings Heights location to get a vehicle. The U-Haul attendant in the Heights was very understanding and gave me a deal on the mileage due to the screw up. But it was still an inconvenience to me. If you make a reservation for a vehicle, and are given an OK for that reservation, the vehicle should be available at the given time, and at the location the reservation was made.David J.

Everytime I called I was redirected to Uhaul customer service so I could never get a definite answer from someone at this location. When I arrived I was supposed to have a storage locker reserved but I never received a unit or code so I cancelled my reservation and took my business elsewhere. When I returned my trailer during normal business hours noone was in the office to instruct me so I dropped it and left.WILSON L.

The website let me reserve a truck the location didn't even have. Online check in didn't work there was one person working the counter while another staff painter he front two outside. Four people in front of me and at least a 10 minute wait at both check in and return! Horrible experience!!April G.

The people working this location were very helpful. They helped me through the transload process as my first UHaul trailer was broken into due to its outdated equipment and rusted mechanism. The thieves could not cut through my lock so they cut through the UHaul equipment. I went through UHaul's insurance who told me they didn't cover theft.Cale M.

So your employees I think we hampered by Uhaul's policy. The computers were painfully slow. Invest in systems that work well. We rented in Shepherd and wanted to pick up in Shepherd but it was easier for Uhaul to just assign us a location we did not ask for. Taking photos of Drivers license with cell phones is an appauling practice. Back to my orginal comment. Your truck was fine. I just detest going into a Uhaul store because it is such a terrible exerience with low staffing levels and zombie type employees. While I was there there were numerous people in line and all they wanted was tape, pads and pick up a truck. It must have been worse for them. Just to buy a roll of tape they waited until the next employee was free. Then they could not find the right trucks and keys. Why on earth do you reserve a truck if its not there. I am getting tired of typing but Uhaul has some serious customer service issues but you are the only game in town. What is a person to do but just go in the store and have a terrible experience from renting a truck to just buying boxes.darran K.

The over head door was broken from day one. We asked to have it fixed but it never was. We had to use a ladder to hold it up. Good thing it never came crashing down on anyone. Would have been a nice little lawsuit since we asked a couple of times to get it done. Staff are just simply rude now since management change and your price are way high. We have 4 other units same size for $100 less per month. After 3 years doing business with these folks, everything from renting as many as 8 units at a time and renting multiple trucks for multiple days, we are done and will not spend another dime with them. I told the person on the phone that I had a 15' u-haul and wanted to make sure that I had enough space to fit my things and asked if the 7x14x10 was the biggest. She said she could size me up to 5x10x10 and move outside. Well this was over the phone and I was exhausted so didn't think about the math. When I arrived after hours as arranged, I realized the error and that the 5x10x10 was little more than a closet and would not come close to fitting everything. Instead of being done with my extremely long move, I now have to take a day off work to sort this out and do not have nearly as many people to help move stuff.
