Truck was in poor condition and VERY dirty. I notriced that once I turned it in they cleaned it AFTER I rented it. I was charged a 25 dollar cleaning fee which I later noticed. I was told it was the oldest truck in the fleet and goes out everyday. They have spent 48k in repairs since it was purchased in 2006.

I've only had one problem and it had nothing to do with the facility itself. It was with an employee. The employee wasn't wearing a mask, but the staff was making the public wear one or they couldn't come in. If you're going to enforce this for your customers then it should be enforced for the staff as well.

POOR Customer Service! Needed a one way rental, on my end my confirmation clearly said "one way rental" and listed my local drop off site. When we arrived to pick up the trailer, there was no trailer to rent. It is my understanding that the rental was not properly made from the U-Haul online reservation system. This issue was made very clear to us that this was "our" problem, not U-Hauls problem. The young lady at the desk was EXTREMELY unpleasant - I will not share her name but, a tiny bit of customer service or empathy goes a long way when something goes wrong. Not even an apology. I understand busy college moving days, I understand people cannot hire quality employees right now but she needs to understand her role is also customer service and how to treat people. It certainly was not our fault, she says it was not her fault...I am not sure how I am supposed to know they had no one-way trailers on their lot when I reserved it. Online it allowed me to reserve a trailer, took my payment (which is more than an in town rental) and told me where I was to drop it off. Very frustrating day after a wonderful graduation!

I had a terrible experience with Uhaul. I reserved a truck 10 days in advance online. Uhaul contacts me 1 day before my requested reservation to inform me the truck would not be ready on time, and pushed my time out for pick up 4hrs later. Then uhaul contacts me the day of to inform me the truck is no longer available and no truck we're available in my area until the next day. So I had to reschedule my entire move to the next day. Big inconvenience.

Vehicle was clean and well taken care of on the inside however the steering wheel was very loose and needed constant correction to drive straight, the suspension also needs significant attention. I was told at pickup that a hold on my credit card would be placed for the rental but I would be able to pay in cash at drop off. When I dropped the vehicle off I was told this was not possible and my card was charged instead. Overall disappointed with the entire experience.

Train staff in customer service and knowledge of their job. Manager was new but if he is not able to resolve issues and says he will call back he should. Not happy. Cost us more than it should of but no resolution. We gave up. Moving across country is stressful as it is to be met with cold. Callous staff riding around on electronic skateboards. Was a different place two months ago.

I used a 20' U-Haul truck to move from out of state and needed a place to put my belongings while we are waiting for our home to come available. The truck worked great, the drop-off was easy and fast, and the employees were not unkind. I wanted to get a storage unit at the same location I dropped off the truck, and the first month of storage rental was free with a truck rental. Thus, I hopped online to U-Haul's website, pulled up my order, and reserved the largest storage unit at the Waverly location in Lansing, Michigan using my free month of rent. I received a reservation confirmation for a 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage unit. On the day of the move, when I was told I could obtain the unit, I called ahead to confirm the specific unit was still being held for me - they verified that it was. When I arrived with the full truck later that day, I was told that there were no 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage units available. It was communicated that my reservation email from U-Haul was without value and that the best unit they could give me was a 10' x 10' x 10' unit (thus lowering the value of my free month of storage, disregarding my carful efforts to reserve and confirm a large unit, and putting me in a difficult situation for unloading my 20' U-Haul truck that day). In the end, I was able to stack my belongings into the smaller unit, with much difficulty and rendering nearly all belongings inaccessible without unpacking the entire unit.

We had several issues and none have been addressed to date. 1-800 uhaul refers you back to manager of store, manager of store new and does not know how to do anything said he will call back after speaking to area manager. No calls back ever. Rude staff. Horrible, horrible, cost us more money than supposed to and very stressful on top of a cross country move. It does not have to be like that. Never again.

Improve the mobile app or online reservation process. I reserved the truck for 6 hours initially and the online process translated that to two days. The staff onsite in the store were awesome and fixed it for us. All staff we encountered throughout the process were great!

When I reserved the truck on the phone I was told that the hitch would be the type where you can select the ball size you need. It was not. They only had the 2 inch size, and I was forced to buy the 1 7/8 that I needed. The employees were not wearing the masks that are required by law due to the Covid.

Only one employee was wearing a mask and it only covered his mouth not his nose. Most of the customers in there didn't have masks either. They were not encouraged to wear one by the employees either. To me that this is not acceptable especially in a place where people come and go from who-knows-where because they're moving in our moving out

I would never go back to this storage unit. The people are rood on the phone and with the pandemic going on the company itself is selfish. Some people have gone through hard times and you people will not work with anyone. It's all about money.

Not only were you the ONLY company that charged additional "fees" during Coronavirus. When I moved my items out. I had to call three times half hour on hold each time. Was then told I had to come in to office to sign papers. I had already moved 3 hours away. It took multiple calls to resolve. WHY would your company WANT people to come into the building to sign during an pandemic?

I just needed some short term storage and the location had great availability, convenient access and hours. Overall I was very happy. The only thing that could have been better was that the gasket on the roll up door was worn through in some areas and it made the door very difficult to open and close. I would prefer to have 24 hour access to the climate control storage spaces. Additionally, I was surprised to see a rodent trap in our bin and will be checking to see how and who will be periodically checking the trap for removal of any rodents since I am the holder of the key for the lock? There was no mention of this when we rented the bin.

My only criticism is your policy of not providing prorated months to tenants who move after a partial month. You guys can earn double on the space for a number of days. Seems like an unethical policy.

The storage facility is infested with rats! Their droppings were everywhere. It was so bad that I was forced to dispose of my sofa upon moving out. I could not bring myself to sit again.

The manager is hostile, the after-hours access sets off an alarm every time because they will not fix the card reader, and the staff never picks up the phone even when there are no customers in store.
