I was surprised to have to provide an emergency contact name when I went to pick up the truck. That could have been done online. Guys at the front desk can't even explain well to other customers the rental process and rental options- they are bad salesman, was waiting 1 hour to get my already pre-registered trailer and in front of me in line were only 3 other clients- they spend all that time trying to sale insurance for rental coverage to each customer and none been sold. The big older guy in the yard who appears to be the manager was so rude. He came over barking something to the young guy hooking up my trailor all while absolutely ignoring my question of whats wrong ? He continued to abruptly lift off the trailer from my hitch narrowly damaging my bumper and roughly dropping tbe trailor . Reservation and check in were efficient and professional. I looked around and could fine no one to assist with the trailer hook up. After 10 minutes in sub zero temperatures, I found and asked an employee doing repairs to a truck's rear door. He kept me waiting for several minutes (in the cold) while he continued with repair. After returning to the office to ask for help, the guy reluctantly attached the trailer to my hitch. Upon returning the trailer 11hrs later, after closing hours, there was no space in the trailer area, so I parked it elsewhere. The app wasn't working so I called and waited on hold for at least 20 minutes. The trailer was fine, but the service was poor. This is probably a result of poor training of staff in Customer Services and a weak IT capability in making the app reliable.DANIEL M.

It was chaos at the location. 5 or 6 big trucks parked everywhere. One person working the yard for returns and moving. I had to help the yard guy lift the trailer and hurt my back in the process. Then I waited 10 mins for someone checking in a van to move it over as there was no way to leave the yard. I had to ask the Uhaul employee to kindly move the small van over to the side several times so I could get on my way...finally another employee said the same as there was space right in front of the truck to let me out.....shocking that you even have to ask numerous times for someone to move a truck out of the wayANDREW I.

I selected a 4 hour rental, not knowing that if I brought it back late, I would be double billed and not billed for the additional hours. I am finding out now that a 6 hour rental costs the same as a 4 hour rental and yet I was deceived into thinking otherwise. The customer service rep also claimed that the $15 CDW covers an accident. I am now finding out that the CDW covers damage to the truck, this is not the same as covering damages in the event of a car accident as I was told by the customer service rep. I have called and filed a complaint with uhaul. If my issues are not resolved rest assured that I will never use your services and I will share my experience with anyone considering renting a uhaul truck.POUYAN M.

And then they wanted to give him a trailer that was behind 3 others. While submitting the order, I booked it for a total of 8 hours from 10 am - 6 pm. However, on the day of booking - i was asked to return it by 4-4:30 pm. On calling, the correspondent insisted that I had to return it before 4:30, whatever might have been the earlier time. The trailer door bottom seal was completely worn out and brittle and mostly missing. This allowed water into the trailer. I know that you say your trailers are water resistant and not waterproof but at least if the door seal was maintained properly I do not think the water would have entered. I was given an all-in price on the phone and I arrived with my own lock which was a high quality lock. When I came in to rent the van body, I was told I was required to purchase and use a Uhaul lock. That lock was junk and did not even secure through all three portions of the van body door fastener (but my own lock did). The staff were rude on several occasions. additionally, I was taken for the first time, on a golf cart, to see the unit, the driver smashed the roof of the cart on the opening garage door and debris flew at me. The 'gold' lock that goes on the left side of the unit is also a joke. One swing of a tack hammer would open it. Obviously this is just a means of pressuring people into paying more for 24 hour access in addition to forcing people to buy a crappy uhaul lock. The location is not secure and my unit leaked, damaging a $4000 mechanical massage chair. I have, over the years, rented many, many uhaul trucks, mostly for business purposes, but sometimes for personal use (as I did to fill up my vanbody storage rental). I did not rent from uhaul when I emptied it out. Because of your unfair, gauging policies, rude staff, inadequate facilities and the generally poor service (staff would not even provide me a paper receipt a email only) uhaul has lost my business permanently.
