I rented a pickup for 2 days and after driving only 15 miles and working on a catering for a few hours, I came out to the truck having and dead battery. After wasting a couple hours of my time waiting for a jumpstart I was returning the truck early, and found there was no wiper fluid either. When I dropped off the truck I was assured there would be no charge for anything because of the inconvenience, checked my back acct. this morning and the charge was posted. Smell of cigarettes throughout the cab. Discovered cigarette butter in the dirty ashtray !!! Removing the foul contents diminished the odor slightly. The staff was nice, courteous, and friendly. Picked up truck late on Thursday due to icy roads dropped off early Sunday. Should be charged for 2 days. We will see.Garrett B.

I rented a cargo van from this location on 12/31/21. The technician Samuel was rude and abrupt during the rental process. He handed me the keys and informed me my truck was way on the other side of the parking lot for me to go get. It was approximately one city block's distance. I have rented from this location approximately 6 times in the past 3 years and the truck has always been brought up to the front door. When we got to the truck the wipers were pulled away from the windshield and there was a lot of snow around the truck, making it difficult for my 75 yr old mother who was with me to get into the truck. I was highly concerned about the ice/snow around the truck because my mom had a double knee replacement. All my experiences at this location had been positive prior to this one. It left a very sour taste in my mouth. Samuel seemed highly annoyed that he had to be at work helping customers.HEATHER A.

When I arrived to drop off my rental I waited outside at the return area as dircted by the signage and no one showed. I went inside and no one was behind the counter and no one in sight. I went back and waited at the vehical eventually someone showed up. My wife took a extended lunch from work to help me with the drop off and the clock was burning with no assistance in sight. Make it clear that the $50 per day guarantee only applies to shipping to the nearest U-Haul location. The requested at home delivery was delayed a few days which was a bit inconvenient.RANDY N.

The move in experience itself was poor. The directions for finding the unit should have included a letter identifying the row in which the unit could be found. The map should contain the same alphabetical row lettering as in the storage building itself. I spent a massive amount of time trying to find the unit. The unit was secured against entry, I could not open it, no one answered the phone when I called the desk, I wandered around until I found a call box, someone came and opened the unit, the provided lock did not work, I had to go to the desk to exchange the lock, the swipe access card did not work properly, and I had to return to the desk to address that. In the future, take the customer to the unit rented, make sure the unit opens, and make sure the provided lock works. Everyone was helpful, but more up-front assistance should have been provided. U-Haul is a complete joke. 2 weeks before my move in date, I made a reservation online and received a reservation number. When I arrived at the facility I was told the unit I reserved was not available and my reservation was not really a reservation and everything is first come first serve, but what do you know they have a more expensive unit available that is smaller then what i reserved, nice way to bait and switch and to upsell. I had movers meeting me there in 30 minutes, so i had no choice. Completely unethical way to upsell people. Avoid at all costs. I reserved a unit online on Monday and went in on Wednesday, the date I'd chosen to start my lease, only to be told that the unit had already been rented. What's the point of reserving a unit if the reservation doesn't mean anything? Why even bother having that feature on the website? The location was what I was looking for and the staff were helpful and patient with my frustration so I rented a similar unit upstairs but not having the original unit I signed up for was a big disappointment.
