Make sure that you give or send a receipt to the renters i did not get one and make sure that were you are going to drop off the trailer make sure that they can take it I had to take the trailer back to another place not the one that I wanted to drop it off at

My code to access the building does not work. I was not told that the main doors would be locking soon after arrival, making moving my belongings very difficult. If another customer didn't have the smaller door propped open, I would have lost everything I own.
The Management and staff were very helpful and professional it was a pleasure working with them.
Manager never replied to multiple messages. Did not honor a refund for a late payment for setting up automatic payments.
This place is super clean and secure! Appreciate that there are hand trucks and carts available for use. All that’s missing is freight elevators for the 2nd floor. Very impressed.
The staff is definitely friendly and courteous.

There were some problems with the online setup and I was becoming very frustrated but Randy helped me straighten it out and calmed me down. Randy provided excellent customer service and compassion. He saved me that day.
The staff at the Verona Road U-Haul storage facility were fabulous. I was always able to get my questions answered by a friendly and helpful employee. And the facility always felt clean and safe.
Will always come back to store my personal belongings again.

The employees were always helpful. However it seemed under staffed when I needed assistance at times. The facility is in the process of hiring based on signage at the location which may alleviate this issue. All other interactions and experiences were excellent.
I am giving a 1 star because i am being charged for a storage unit and late fees even though i never had the need for one and never had a reservation for one. I have been to the physical location 2x to deal with the charges and called 2x. Every time i am told it is taken care of but i still keep getting a bill. And now late charges.
They failed to have a truck that I reserved ready. Can’t get ahold of anyone at the building. Tried to make me drive an hour and a half to do a walk through of a storage unit during a pandemic. I will never go through Uhaul because of these experiences.
1-initially you gave me a unit on second or third floor. I’m 50, I can’t hall a couch and chair up 2 flights and down a very long hallway. I asked for a closer one and there was one available. Thank goodness. But why did I have to ask. Person should have recognized my lack of muscle power 2- my card never worked after hours 3- when closing account, I was in a hurry as I rented a pick up truck and I was being charged. Your person was in the bathroom for a very long time and there was nobody at the check out desks. I was waiting 5 plus minutes. Thankfully Menards didn’t charge me the 10 minutes I went over for the truck rental. And my card didn’t work picking up my stuff and your person was very slow walking to let me in. Train your people to hustle. Overall a very bad experience.
My only issue was that it said it was a first floor split level. So it’s on a second floor and had to climb stairs. I didn’t realize that. But we were taking stuff out of our unit during access hours when no one was there and accidentally locked our keys/key card inside the building. Adam was super nice helping us get back in the building. Would definitely use the facility again. Thanks Adam!
With the low employment rate, better employees could be found. Are you under-staffed, or is every one in the break room? Do you pay them a living wage? In any case there seems to be very poor moral. Ok, the puddle in the back of the truck wasn't water, it was motor oil. I cleaned that mess up. And, are the key cards not activated? Alarms going off everywhere. An employee said don't worry. Remember, moving is very stressful. You made it worse. Also, when picking up the truck early in the morning, it was a total surprise that we needed to call someone! Unacceptable. I could go on. Bad experience all around.
The U-Haul website does not make it clear that reserving a unit online only saves some basic information to your account. Reserving a unit online does not guarantee that they will have that unit available for the dates you selected. My "15 minute" check-in took one hour... and I was at the front of the line. The new staff was very confused about basic check-in procedures and I had several unpleasant encounters. Would not recommend going to this location!
Very helpful staff. They also did a good job with Covid 19 protections.
Storage facility met our needs. My only issue is we paid for the last months rent and only used the storage unit for one week of the last month. Monthly rent should be prorated when that happens. I asked the local place and they said to call U-Haul. I called U-Haul, and they said to check with the local place. I have now been told that the rental contracts don’t state that. Very unfortunate, especially during Covid times when things are tougher on people
Staff was friendly and check in was easy. Only issue was that I didn’t realize that a 1st floor split unit was not on the ground floor. Instead they should just say it’s on the 2nd floor. I’ve never rented a storage unit before so I have learned a few things.
Was originally given the wrong unit, manager did not seem to have great customer service skills. Was instead given an upper level unit even though I had reserved a street level unit since my parents are quite old.
I didn't appreciate the lack of not being notified about the water leakage. You can send me emails and charge me late fees but not one notice of a water leak. Clothes and furniture got damaged. Had l not been moving out l would have never known or been informed. My personal property smells and is damaged.
I reserved a unit online on Monday and went in on Wednesday, the date I'd chosen to start my lease, only to be told that the unit had already been rented. What's the point of reserving a unit if the reservation doesn't mean anything? Why even bother having that feature on the website? The location was what I was looking for and the staff were helpful and patient with my frustration so I rented a similar unit upstairs but not having the original unit I signed up for was a big disappointment. We move into our house we won't be using Uhaul for any other of our moving needs due to this.
Generally happy with it. While the facility is well lit, the storage unit itself is not and since we had a unit at the end, it was very dark, thus requiring us to bring a light in on each visit. The hours for access is also inconsistent with signs. You think you can access it anytime with the key card but that only opens certain doors and outer doors are locked. The unit has a mouse trap and there's definitely some rat droppings when we moved out. On our last day to move out, our unit was locked as if we did not pay the rent and we did. Staff apologized and did not know why that was the case. All in all, I say it is an OK experience.
At this location you could use more employees at times. Adam does a great job for how many employees he has.
One thing that was a bit unnerving was that several times while I was unloading my things, there were people standing around smoking, Asking me personal questions, not moving anything, just hanging out. One man followed me in to use the bathroom and told me he worked there as a security guard, though he c was not in uniform.
Rude employees. They smile in my face and laugh at me not very far from me! Staff at the front desk can’t speak clearly and gave me wrong info twice.
Someone locked my unit within two weeks of rental. I was on a deadline to move out of my house and this caused a significant delay because none of the staff could find the key to remove the lock. I’ve experienced long wait times when contacting the office, as well as long waits in the office despite there being an abundance of employees in circulation. I would hesitate before using this service again. In fact, this was the entire reason I moved the contents of my home to a location over 45 min away.
Everyone was friendly and helpful, very willing to help us alter our moving plans after COV became an issue. The free storage was exactly what we needed.
I rented the storage unit a week ago. I completed the rental agreement online and it was very easy. They emailed me the code to get in along with information on my locker. When I showed up, the locker was clean and empty with a lock waiting for me inside. So far, I'm very pleased with the experience.
the employees are sitting and talking and do not pay attention to their work I checked them by asking them a question and they hung up on me that is not coming from the facilities everything is coming and very comfortable thanks

We found cardboard boxes with chewed holes through the tops, it's too early to tell if we have damage to the contents, have not unpacked all yet. Additionally mouse droppings observed in the unit.

CSR was very robotic, telling me all the rules & regs, what kind of lock I’m REQUIRED to use (although none were in stock to sell me, so “get one somewhere else”). Don’t feel like a valued customer...
The storage locker we selected was everything we hoped for, and more. The only "want" would be to have elevator access to the second level, but we were told that they were restricted from doing so.
Easy access 24/7 and good customer services. Will be in ny short list if needed in the future.
I wish you all did some type of prorated amounts especially for 7 days or less. If you did the rating would be 5 stars.
College move week. I was confirmed w/ a 3 day rental that was ultimately denied, forcing me to move my daughter out, unload truck into storage, rent another truck, load again & move her in. Terrible.

My experience would have been fine, but the issue was the closing out. We called many many times. WE used the storage 2 days paid for a month. somewhere communication was lacking. The manage was awful

We first went on a busy Saturday and were lucky enough to have Ben McCabe help us. Patient, helpful, and good-natured despite the people waiting, he was great. Ben Bowman and the Gen. Mgr. very ok.
Just pay Xtra for access 24 hours raise to much the unit price and also so bad not having elevator for the second levels. So at the end I pay Xtra for be at the first floor and have 24 hour access.
After permitting loading dock use for storage move-in, we were denied dock use for move out. No good reason offered. Cost us much time and $$. We spent over $10K in 2 1/2 years. NOT ACCOMMODATING!

Emailed general manager twice about final move-out procedure, and received no responses, so had to ask in-person. Often find a lot of debris [nails/screws/broken bits] in parking lot near entrance.

Access/loading area was dirty, trashy and Icy the whole month I was using storage. Thank you for the free month locker with the trailer rental.
Clean facility, helpful staff. Uhaul should have a lock buy back policy, or a bin to put the used round locks, like a lock recycle or donation. I don't have a need for such a big lock anymore.

Happy with costumer service, but desappoint with the upstairs storage was a little low cost. Is a bad trick to get more money. A storage with stairs seriously? Anyway have to pay more now

I asked the manager for a lower level storage, he said it wasn't any! I feel like I was racially profiled because I'm African American.!! When I called and got it, he said it was for VIP people!!?? 😡
After 3+ years I had a great experience. Even when I lost my key a couple of times the staff was very helpful. It was great when they went to the swipe cards vs a code I had to memorize.
The facility was well lit and clean. The employees was all friendly and nice with smiles.
Greatly appreciate the help with receiving a shipment and moving to locker. Staff are excellent!
The Madison facility was very good, but the entire U-box experience was a nightmare. Different operations do not talk to each other, the website is always totally out of date regarding my orders, etc.
Worst experience I've ever had. Company doesn't care about its customers at all. Not only do you need to work on your customer service you need better people that actually care and management.

Improvement would be allowing large double-doors to be swipe-card accessible 24 hours. Not easy getting a sofa or other bulky item through a small single door just because it's after 7pm (5pm on Sun)!
The delivery driver was very helpful and came on time for pick up and drop off.
The only complaint I have is about other renters. There are times when only one or two carts are available. Other people take the carts to use at the other end of their move.
Everyone at U-Haul Verona was very helpful and professional. Best moving experience I've had.
The payment system is not the friendliest. Paying a full month ahead complicates the customers' plans when moving.

I've rented a storage unit here a couple times. Both times have been a pleasant experience and the staff i interacted with were friendly. If I needed a storage unit again, I would come here again.

Work with banks to change coding of payments through your website so full amount is charged one time. Not half then 2 to 3 weeks later the other half. Losing check payments a frequent occurrence.
