Definitely keep the young lady at the front desk who assisted me in my order. She was awesome!! Actually everyone there was very helpful and friendly!! I did have an issue with the fuel levels I left with and how I returned it. I was sent a link after I ordered to make sure the fuel level, mileage, etc was correct. I did not see that until I arrived at my daughter's apartment. I was asked by corporate to pull a 5x9 trailer back to Nashville and was offered a $25 credit to do so. The pickup site could not get the computer side to work. We worked with it for about 30 minutes. There was no response from corporate to get it corrected. I even called after getting loaded to see if corporate had responded. Anyway, with all of that said, I missed the text to check the fuel before I left the site. I brought the truck back with more fuel than I was given; however, the computer setup had me being charged. I left and put in another $35 of fuel. It is just ironic that I was going to help out the company by pulling a trailer back and ended up losing out altogether. I did not check my text by being held up and distracted and then not getting to pull the trailer back. Just a bit frustrating that a perfect storm hit that ended up costing me about $55-$60.Joey S.

My equipment was not cleaned or ready for my arrival. As such, I was delayed and ended up having to pay additional money to my crew of movers that were waiting. Staff was rude and unhelpful. I've been working with corporate to help resolve the situation and so far have gotten nowhere after a week of being told this would be fixed. Please help!Peter K.

The day before is was to pick up the truck in Southhaven, MS I received a call from an agent stating that I would have to pick it up on Union Street in Memphis, TN. One of the most dangerous parts of Memphis. I was very unsatisfied with the change in location. Also, the agent there did not give me a copy of the contract. I had to call uhaul, wait to speak to someone and they emailed me the contract.John W.

I reserved a van and a dolly, but when I got there, a dolly wasn't available. This meant that I wasn't able to move the piece of furniture by myself, so I had to wait for my roomate to get home, which wasn't until 9:00 pm. It was honestly a huge hastle to have to get a temporary parking pass to park the U-haul at my apartment and leave it there for 3 hours and then finally move the stuff into my aparmtent at 9:30 pm, all because the dolly (that I reserved) wasn't available when I got there. The only thing that was inconvenient for me was the hours that I could access my unit. I just wished it was 24 hours. This didn't affect my decision to stop using storage, I finally found a place to call home. I absolutely loved the staff at this location. The manager should get a raise, she's just the best. Once, I forgot to lock my unit and left the door open. She put a lock on it for me until I came back again. I felt like she was always willing to work with me if I was late, maybe it was the policy but she made me feel like she was looking out for me. I will miss chatting with her. Thanks for letting me use the storage. Also, I frequently rent your trucks and I'll say It's always hassle free and effortless, except the hauling furniture part. When I walked in there was no greetings whatsoever. You could tell the employees really didn't want to be there or they hated their job. When I walk into a place of business that is going to be taking my money I expect to be greeted or at least say, hello how ya doin. This was not the case.Nicholas P.

Person hooking up the trailer did not tighten hitch enough. When driving home, the trailer disconnected from the hitch. I should note that this was college move-in weekend so it was somewhat hectic for them. Also, last minute rentalRick P.

I left then tried another location nothing avaliable I went back another agent just honored my reservations like nothing had happen the vehicle was there the whole time now its storming.only that day I felt like I was overcharged 130 miles in town I can't see it I tried to call but no answer. The staff at this location were rude and unhelpful. Not one person was greeted. The person on the lot was cussing and throwing equipment on the ground. The person inside the office walked past us and went inside never once asking if we were helped. They proceeded to get on their phone until we approached them for assistance. Pick up was a nightmare. This process took 1 hour to complete, even though I had checked in online. (30 minutes to get through the line and 30 minutes to complete the check in). Check out was very strange. One uhaul employees took the key from us before we went in the store and did nothing else such as check us out or inspect the vehicle. It was all just the straightest ordeal. I hope I don't need a uhaul in the near future.Robert T.

My chief complaint and reason I will never use Uhaul was the bait switch tactics. I had a reservation to pick up at the Germantown location and was called the day before to be told there are no trucks AND no effort would be made to correct the problem. My guess, this is common with Uhaul. You got more money out of us in a desperate situation but I will tell everyone I can about your fraudulent t practices. Shame on Uhaul.Alan Y.
I accidentally left some items in the truck that I rented. I brought it before close, no one came out to receive the car. So I left it where it was. Apparently it was not checked in until the next morning, at which point I was told that nothing was found in the vehicle. I don't know if I really believe this and it seems like really bad customer service and not according to protocol in terms of receiving vehicles that are being turned in for the day. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Not to mention the fact that when I got there, I actually didn't have the vehicle that I was supposed to get so I had to have a truck instead with terrible gas mileage per gallon. My reservation bounced/switched between three different uhaul locations, which was a nuisance. The Union Avenue location, where I finally picked up the truck, wasn't as clean and organized as others I've seen (but the truck was very clean). On the good side, it didn't take long to get my truck and be on my way.Brent C.
Son went inside and checked in, got receipt, 3 girls said someone would come out to help us. No one came, he went back in and asked, heard 1 girl say I can't do it then wanted us to take the trailer to another site. I went in and asked for help, she said someone would come out, nobody came. I backed the trailer into empty space and son unhitched. I went back in and told them we dropped it in a space and heard one yell thanks. If this was typical customer service I would never rent from UHaul again but I know it's not. This was a disgrace typical of people who don't care about the company they work for, rude and crude.Steve H.

This lady demonstrated both inappropriate behavior and pour performance to this customer. A crash course in charm school would do her wonders.James W.

I interacted with 2 people at different times on the same day. When I picked up the truck, the lady working there told me she had no furniture pads, no moving dolly, no two-wheeler, all of which I had reserved. She was discourteous and couldn't really care less. When I said I had reserved them, she said it didn't matter if people came in before me and wanted to buy/rent them. I had to ask her to call around other locations for the furniture pads, then I had to add an hour to my moving day, driving to another location to get them. The young woman working there when I picked up the auto transport trailer was unhelpful, and in fact, uncommunicative. I honestly think she was stoned... yes, literally high on pot. The entire inside of the U-Haul location smelled like pot. I had to ask her each question 2-3 times and her only response was to call someone on her cell phone and talk for a few minutes before answering my questions. She wouldn't even look up at me. The person who was supposed to be there to connect the trailer to my truck wasn't there. I had to wait about 45 minutes for him to show up. NEVER AGAIN will I use the U-Haul location at 370 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN. While I was waiting on the trailer guy someone in line behind me told me they thought this was the worst U-Haul location ever. I 100% agree.Mark L.

The Rep yelled at me telling me i couldn't park the truck where i did. When i dropped it off there was no inspection, no receipt given. Only that i would get something in the email. They didn't even check to see if the dolly was in the back. Left me open to amot of porential liability.John D.

Shortly after I pulled into the return location, I observed a U-Haul employee and a customer arguing (shouting) at each other. The customer seemed very angry, and was verbally insulting the U-Haul employee. The U-Haul employee was returning insults and demanding that the customer leave immediately and not come back. After a couple of minutes, a male U-Haul employee approached the customer and pulled out a handgun (halfway) from a shoulder bag, and was making comments (I'm assuming he was telling the customer to leave the property). After a couple more verbal exchanges, the customer left. This is absolutely unacceptable. U-Haul employees should not be permitted to carry firearms. If there is an issue, the police should be contacted and employees should not continue to argue with a customer. I did not feel safe at the return location (Memphis, TN - Union Ave). This could have easily escalated into a life-threatening situation, and from my perspective it was 100% preventable (with professionalism and equanimity).George S.

They changed me for 2 storage when I want to other u haul and they told me that they will give me one price once but a storage if I need more room. Wen i made it to my drop off location the managers insisted I could not the discount offered to me. After 30 minutes I received the discount. Next, I was told at my drop off location I had until 7 pm to finish unloading to turn in my rental equipment. i was done near 6 and the office was still open. As I was standing behind a customer I pulled out of line and told I was not to expect a refund in cash although I paid in cash.i was asked for a receipt but had not checked the Renta equipment in yet. I received the run around. After I stated how I really wanted my money I left the office when I tried to come back in I was treated in a hostile manner while being stopped at the door. The Uhaul company on Union Avenue. The GM Crystal called was very unresponsive.I was stereotyped.i was told I couldn't enter the store due to me being upset with the service.i asked to return the key to my truckand was told I couldn't receive a invoice a piece of paper that shows at least I did return the equipment. I couldn't get any respect unless I was the white man in front of me who's received sympathy for his car being stolen although I had just traveled over 300 miles with two little kids and little no help unloading or loading my home. This is false advertising by uhaul and complete discrimination by the assistant manager who the GM Mom when she called to get authorization to go forward with my first month of free storage. For the price that it cost me to store my items in the storage it wasn't really well kept. I had over $500 in damaged items. There was nice that got into the unit and ate threw my brand new mattresses and urinated on them. They ate kids clothes toys electronics and even toiletries like powder and soaps. I didn't think that having everything packaged in plastics and boxed down would still cause so much damage. I had this unit from July 2019 to Jun 2021 and the price went up and the maintenance went down. This was an awful experience and u-haul must do better. I still have went through everything as of yet but I know there may be more damaged items bsce some boxes are covered in rat feces and urine.
