Truck was almost empty (gas). When I pointed this out to the store manager, he advised that one way rentals didn't include gas and I would not be charged at the point of returnâ€¦â€¦which turned out not to be the case.Dan C.
We had a reservation for a 15 foot truck for two months prior to move out. The morning we were scheduled To pick it up, I called to reconfirm and they told me they were no 15 foot trucks available. We had to go to another location and get a 20 foot truck which was more gas, And more challenging to drive. Was disappointing experience.MARIA T.
Rented a 12x6 box trailer. The gentleman hook it up tested the lights then sent us on our way. When we arrived at our destination and started to carrying stuff out to the truck we discovered there was a pad lock left on the trailer door. Tried to call the store and just got referred to online. Went online and put in a request for help and never received a phone call. If it wasn't for a nice stranger in the neighborhood we were picking up the table from we would have been stuck out in the street with a dining room table and chairs with no way to get them home. Also when we dropped the trailer off after hours I tried to return it online but after several attempts I couldn't get past the second page where you take a picture of the clean trailer because it would never highlighted the continue button no matter what I would do.Wayne W.

There was an extremely overpowering odor in the cargo van of both tobacco and some sort of air-freshener or cologne to try and mask the tobacco scent. Not cool. A clean cargo van would have been better and easier to return in the same condition. There was dirt smudged on the outside of the van as well as in the seats, on the floor of the cab, and in the cargo area. We swept and vacuumed, but did not bother washing the outside of the vehicle.Bobby B.

My Reservation #: 20595576 and drop off location was at the following: Drop Off Location: U-Haul Moving & Storage of Fort Jackson 5604 Forest Dr Columbia, SC 29206 But when I got to the location the employee working there told me that I could not drop it off there and send me to another location, 30 minutes away. I requested that location because it is right outside Fort Jackson military installation (Where I live). After showing the employee my confirmation email she still would not assist us. poor working manners.Gerardo G.
I was able to get a pickup truck on a Saturday with a same day reservation. I was grateful since I was only in town for the weekend. From reservation to returning the vehicle it was all of 90 mins, unfortunately the longest portion was the wait in the office to complete the paperwork for the reservation. The staff seemed overwhelmed w two complex transactions firing me to wait in line for 30 mins. Otherwise staff was great. I was charged 324 for my final bill then was charged another 181 which I have no idea why. When I first rented the uhaul the lady was very rude. I think her name was shaundrea. When we returned the uhaul the lady was very nice. The male manager there is also very rude. Out of all the uhauls this is the worst.Rachel S.

The truck seemed like it was having engine issues. It didn't want to go in gear at first. I don't think is right that I was charged a full rate to have use of a truck for an extra hour. A prorated amount yes, but the service rate for a full four hours.BEVERLY W.

When I first arrived to the location. I told them I had a reservation for a 15' truck, 6 blankets and a appliance dolly. They had the truck available but didn't have any blankets nor the dolly. The sales person had to call the costumer service number to find a dolly. None of the other local Columbia stores had a dolly. So I had to find one to use from a friend. The overall check in process was about 50 mins. I was also delayed by the card reader being down the sales person had to manual put in my car information. The young lady that helped me was very nice and was trying to help all that she could. Return the truck was much easier than receiving the truck.JORDAN D.

When I received the rental it was not clean. There was a face mask attached the the passenger seatbelt. What looked to be coffee spilled from the steering wheel over to the passenger side. Gas was actually on 1/4 and not 3/8 as stated on the form. After leaving two warning came on for the front driver tire pressure and the rear passenger tire pressure.DeShondra Y.
