The price per mile was said to be 39 cent when I went in to get the u-haul and on my receipt it said it was 79 cent that's a 40 cent difference that's not good business. Very concerned customer and I have use this location in the passed.

I first reserved a 5x8 trailer at the Elmwood location in Columbia. Upon arrival, a uhaul worker was threatened with a knife outside while looking at the trailer. This location needs more than just a pregnant woman working there. After police left, I hooked up to the trailer and went back inside to sign the contract only to find out that the trailer had been stolen and was not able to be rented. Also, there were no other 5x8s on the site. I was then told to go to the two notch location where the two men working did an amazing job and were extremely nice.

I was sent to this location because UHaul's computer system did NOT have my trailer at the scheduled location for pick up. Apparently Uhaul's new/upgraded software has a glitch which does NOT reserve your online request at the location as it reflects. Luckily they were able to locate another in the area that AM or I would have had a huge problem trying to move on our scheduled day. The Two Notch location has a large selection of trailers and the location was clean and trailer was ready. My only complaint it that the time to pick up the trailer was over an hour because the location only had one individual working. He did great trying to juggle the multiple people in line but when you are on a schedule and moving, waiting for an hour + was very frustrating (especially after being sent here from another location).

Truck was dirty and obviously had not been cleaned since returned. In the middle of Covid-19, we were surprised that we had to sanitize it ourselves. The outside was unwashed as well. U-Haul completely misrepresented the total charges due. The pick-up location was changed and we received a text to confirm pickup info but nothing was said that there had been a change in location. It only confirmed the order details, with a different address. That text should have said something to the fact that THERE IS A CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR YOUR EQUIPMENT PICKUP! TERRIBLE customer service. I'll use another company next time and warn my friends/family.

Carbon dixoide was leaking into cab. Had to drive the whole time with windows down. I told attendent but he didnt care. Really made me sick. My head an now my lungs hurt. I wish i never used this place or truck in so much pain I will bot forget this cause ive been loyal.

I reserved my truck at least a week in advance called 3 days before to confirm the rental of truck and equipment, and again the day before. I was on a bit of a time constraint, I just wanted to make sure it was going to be correct. I arrived around 7ish am when the shop opened went in and first he could not find my reservation, finnaly found it, then he said he did not have the 2 utility dollies I requested. He would not say anything other than he didn't have them. I had to plead with him for the dollies. He said he was sorry he didn't have any. After a bit of back and forth he said he would have a look in some of the trucks. And disappeared for bit and finnaly found them. The truck he gave me was the most banged up truck in the lot. It also turned out to have an Anti lock brake issue as well Wich required road side assistance. And the stearing wheel was mis aligned. I got the impression I was given the worst truck in the lot because it was a one way rental so they would not have to deal with it. One last thing about this location, they did not go over the contract with me. The explanation of the allotted milage was not made clear and I thought I was in for a much higher bill. The manager at my drop off location was good enough to explain the whole thing for me Wich only took a moment. There are 10 other uhaul locations with in 20 min of this one I will not go back to this shop.

When I got to the location in SC the gentleman Derrick wanted me to just leave the key and he would check the The truck in later he said. He appeared to not have time and no one else was in the store with me at the time I had to ask him to walk outside with me to check the vehicle and I had to ask him for a receipt and when I asked for further assistance to make sure everything was OK cause I return the vehicle early I wanted to verify that I would only get charged one day instead of two, he refused to call Customer Service or a Manager to assist us I ended up calling Reggie back in North Carolina and Reggie took care of everything.

The truck that I had reserved ( and had an email confirmation for) was not available when I went to the location to pick up. It appeared not to be the fault of the location employee but something internal. He agreed to waive the milage fee if I would take a smaller vehicle but upon returning the vehicle, I was told by a different employee that they don't do that. After much discussion, they did waived the milage fee. VERY unimpressed with UHaul in general!!

HIRE MORE WORKERS!!!! I was the only person at the store for 15 minutes DURING hours of operation. Visited the store earlier in the day and wasn't service and the manager Johnny said they forgot about me! Terrible service and will be speaking to the general manager.

Need a more efficient system for equipment rental, it should not take 45 minutes to rent a hand truck. Returning trailers etc. is quick and pleasant.

Where do I start. When I have an appointment that I booked 1 month in advance to pick up a vehicle, let's make sure the vehicle is actually available. The vehicle was absolutely disgusting. The cabin especially was not cleaned at all. The fact that it was not sanitized during a pandemic is incredibly concerning and upsetting. For all I know, the previous customer could have had COVID19 and my wife (who has an autoimmune condition) could have contracted it due to this. Next, I had rented 2 dollies that weren't even available for me to pick up. Then, I hopped into a vehicle that had less than a 1/4 tank of gas that I had to fill up for my drive. Which was even more upsetting when I was charged for not filling it up all the way at the drop-off location. Even though I had dropped the vehicle off with more gas than was given to me at the pick-up location. Lastly, the pick-up location was the fourth reservation that had to have been made due to the fact that U-haul kept giving me the "run-around" as the previous reservations/locations NEVER had a vehicle for me to pick-up. And even though I had a reservation number and proof of when I booked this, one of the locations claimed that we were not even in the system. This had caused me to use unnecessary PTO to take an entire day of work off, reschedule on movers, cause my wife to be an hour late to work, and was incredibly distressing. This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had with the absolutely unnecessary stresses that were caused. I will be calling corporate to request full compensation.
