Manager Debbie should be fired for lying about an incident
Solid experience in a busy location.
Everything good
The online/picture reporting app kept refreshing and erasing all my progress. It was annoying. But the workers both days, rental and return, were cool and helpful.
I only have one complaint. I rented the van for 24 hours and returned it early. I was told I could return the van and keys even if the office was closed, but not told of a $20 fee for doing so. I requested a refund, but have not heard back.
Location staff are very professional knowledgeable

Customer service was not all that good. Bad attitude with one of the customer.but everyone else was very helpful. The Gentleman That Help was very professional with me.i give him a 100 real nice and understanding customer service.
There was a issue with the moving blankets. It took a long time to resolve this minor issue. I wasted a lot of time for them to tell me I would get a $10 credit in a few weeks.
Decrease wait time when picking-up the U-haul truck.

I've rented trucks from the St. Claude location and the Tulane location several times each, and the difference is incredible. My experiences at the St. Claude location were always horrible...long waits, chaotic service. I started using the Tulane location, even though it's much farther away, and I couldn't have been happier...staff was super professional and attentive, and I was in and out of there in no time. The Tulane U-haul staff kicks ass.
Double charge me two different cards
Counter sales and especially guy checking trucks in and out both deserve a raise. They were great.
Was told by an agent at the Gretna location that appliance trucks are readily available. No appliance trucks were available in the metro area. Had to purchase my own appliance truck for this event. The rented dolly was never used.
It was a very long process..... one of the young ladies got into in with a customer..... ( at no fault of her own) but it took me a hour and 10 mins to retrieve the large truck , so I can start moving.... it totally messed up my great day I started out having..... the customer was horrible with the language she was using , they should have called the police, but they didn't so everyone who was waiting in line had to here her horrible rant...... absolutely ridiculous and unfair to the rest of the customers in line waiting to get their day started...... NO I WONT EVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION...
The customer service agents were wonderful! Very kind and patient, even while having to diffuse a situation with a rude and out of line customer. The wait time to pick up was awful. I signed up for 24/7 self serve yet I still had to wait in a line for over 1 1/2 hours to get the keys! Return drop off was a piece of cake, though. Side note: all staff (except for one man) were wearing masks and social distancing.
Try and make the express checkout actually be express. I waited in line for over half an hour and I was fourth or fifth in line. Very poor organizational skills.
Professional personnel. Every one of your good people cared for us and made sure that we were well satisfied

Service is good and friendly. Access and egress can be a bit tricky to Tulane Av.
They didn't have the appliance dolly I reserved with my truck. Then they wanted to move me to a different sized truck from the one I had reserved because they promised it to someone else? I offered to exchange trucks if they would give me a regular dolly and delete the appliance dolly altogether from my bill since I wasn't getting anything I had reserved. They said no and that they don't give anything away for free, so I told them I was keeping the truck I had reserved and left. Upon returning the truck at the conclusion of my reservation, I went inside to return the key to the truck and I was told to see the man outside. I waited outside with 3 other customers for quite some time without ever seeing anyone so I put the keys in the after-hours slot and left.
Polite and courteous. Quick and efficient.
I believe the return full rule is being used as a scam. I drove 14 miles. Within 3 miles the needle was below full. When I refilled it, it took 4 gallons. It is obviously being filled just to the mark, tricking customers into giving the location free gas.

When I sent my driver to rhe U-haul location he wasn't allowed to use his Chime card to pay for the U-haul this was after I called the 800 number and was told that the Chime card or cash to pay for the U-haul van as long as the rental is under $100. So I called the U-haul location after my reserved driver was not able to get the U-haul van at the location. The man who answered the phone told me the same thing that I would need a major credit card so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager told me the same that I needed a major credit card I told him why can't I use a bank card with a Visa logo charged as credit he gave me a bunch in nonsense and long story short I had to go to that U-haul and charge the van to my card for the total of $40. Get with your locations they don't seem to be educated on what can be changed as a credit card!!!! You shouldn't be a manager and be stupid.

Make sure the fuel gauge is completely full, and mileage out is accurate,other then that,everything was good
nickle and dimed to death, paid over $75 for a $29 rental. The truck had a dolly in the back with a zip tie. I didn't request it but had to remove it because I needed the space to slide cases in. I told the guy who inspected the truck on return yet I was charged for it anyway.
Just make sure of date and time are correct on contracts.
Customer Rep was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Got truck with the wire belts showing on two front tires and didnt notice unroll I was done moving and got stranded at gas station. Now I'm being charged over 400 dollars for them.
I rented online & checked in online & still had to wait 20 mins in line b/c no clear indication that I should be in any other line. Then there was a customer that started yelling racially motivated comments to the lady behind the counter because someone was going to be able to go in front of her b/c they did it online. Then I was charged double because I was checked in late. When what happened was I couldn't get in the return line b/c there were too many trucks in the way. I parked where I picked up the truck then the guy told me i needed to move it to the line. Another customer had blocked my truck in at this point & the attendant had to get in and move it. He then walked away and another attendant started my check in...I was already an hour late for work so I just accepted the charge because the line was 6 people deep inside, but am highly upset that I paid double for being 25 mins late even though I wasn't late at all! THEY SHOULD IMPOSE A LATE FEE NOT A WHOLE DAYS RENTAL ANYWAY!!! I wasn't even moving! I did a single mother a favor that needed to move & had no one to help her. I rented a truck & two movers for 3 hours!! Then I get charged double because the return lane was inaccessible & the online return thing was acting up!
Slow service
problem is, I did not book a truck at this location and ONLY found out I had to pick up at that location AFTER I went to the location I booked at on St. Claude. That cost me time AND money. I was told I was notified but I WAS NOT. Maybe someone tried to send me a message through telepathy but certainly was NOT notified by email, text, phone, or USPS letter. Because of this and because your agents did nothing to rectify the situation I will not use UHAUL again and will be sure to let others know of my bad experience. Not to mention, look for bad reviews on all the online forums as well. Customer service should be a priority and not just making money off of people.

The day I had to move out, the elevators were broken. And I had to take stairs where the door kept closing and locking on me.

These guys were the most exceptional crew I could've asked for. I encountered some problems and they went out of their way to help me. They were super friendly, positive, and kind. If I was stuck on a deserted island with 4 people, I'd chose these fellas because their ingenuity, positivity, and problem solving skills would have us off the island before I even got a tan.
Only bad part of the experience was the truck was not really clean when we got it. Visible dirt on the floorboards, but not too bad. Excellent, helpful staff.

3 hour wait fir my truck
I am giving excellent because the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I do have a problem because in the description of the storage unit it said 5xx8x10 and it is not that it is 5x8 at the front but it drops down to 4 or 3 foot. I really needed a storage unit as advertised. I will need to get into the storage unit often. I do not want to have to go and have to remove everything or close to everything just to get items out and put it all back just have to take it all out again to put it all back. I did not say anything the day I took possession because I was extremely tired and did not want to lose my temper. I hope that we can work something out because honestly it is misleading and I expect better of U-Haul.

We really enjoyed having our items stored in the two units at U-haul on Tulane. The team was very nice, caring and considerate The unit was clean, secure, safe and always temperature cool.
Very clean, pest controlled, climate controlled, well lit, & safe.
Very slow customer service
I did my reservation by internet and the price showed 69,96 $, then when I did the deal the price increase to 79,95 $, without explanation.
I would recommend this Uhaul, based upon your proximity limitations.
Brandon, General Manager, was extremely helpful to us, and was willing to put in way above average effort To make sure we were happy.
I was actually the opening Manager before the storage units were built. We worked out of the temporary trailer when everything was manual before computerized. That was in the mid 70’s. It was great to use the service of the facility that launched my career. Than you and I will love to refer people to your facility.

Ok when i went to close my stroage she told me a refund was going on card.i hate some one to lie she is a lier so i call her 2 day she said another lie but i want u 2 no god dont sleep i was looking for my refund thats what made me call the bank to see where it was she is a lier that so wrong

It was a very nice experience.staff was very a joy and funny and entertaining..Mr Brandon in my opinion is a darn good manager he handles situations very polite and professionally it was a delight and a pleasure.you all picked a very respectful and responseable young man.

The store manager Brandon was very professional and courteous. I was a difficult customer and even though I didn't make his job; he was still very pleasant and helped me resolve my account issue.

The place is rat infested. Rat poop all over my belongings and when I checked out we found a dead rat. Very disqusting!
James noticed my storage unit was empty and called to see what was up! That was so helpful since I had been trying to contact someone about terminating my contract and I couldn't reach anyone.
Angelique couldnt have been better in every way. Knowledgeable kind understanding. If it hadnt been for her i would have had an emotional meltdown after a grueling few days. Give her a raise

Line was long to door, 1 person working, no air conditioning. Rental truck slow. Assigned storage had lock on door, took 20 minutes for someone to remove. Waiting caused lost time to return truck.
Check in and Check out was backed up considerably prolonged. Inadequate staffing with very inefficient computer system made for very long wait time. My 8:00 rental wasn't done until 8:40.
Excellent. 10. Plus. Would do business any day. Keep up the good work.

Staff is very nice but this place has a major pest problem. Most of the items in my unit had to be thrown away or deep cleaned as it was covered in rat feces and urine. Traps aren't helping!

The only reason U haul didn't get excellent from me is: they charge $15 late fee even if you are a day late. Otherwise, it was a pleasure using them.

Overall I think the experience of using Uhaul U boxes for a long distance move was good. Although upon arrival my couch had a hole in it and some of the furniture was scuffed all in all not bad at all
I moved out due to rat infestation. I had to throw away 5 baby items since it was covered with rat feces. I've stored twice at Public Storage without problem. Front desk lady was uncaring.
The service I received was excellent from you all it only took 10 minutes and I was out of there yeah I'll work real fast y'all have a good team going I never been waited on so fast thank you all.

The one and only reason I am not eating the facility as excellent is because my boxes and mattress where covered with mice/rat pellets of poop. And, we found a dead - the unit had the worse smell ever

The experience could have been better had the store had better customer service. Every time you would call the store the calls would be forwarded almost always leading to one having to come in.

They were scheduled to open at 7:00 and they didn’t until 7:30 then acted like it was totally fine. They were helpful after that but no sense of urgency at all.

Was denied my reservation. Said there was a policy issue preventing me from getting my free first month. Ended up having to rush to get a storage unit; opted for a local competitor.

The Service and Storage facility was great.
This place has a severe mouse and roach problem. They will NOT warn you beforehand. Many of my items were damaged. I am thoroughly disgusted! There is no excuse for such poor maintenance!
Moved out on the 15 of June but was still charged the entire month . I should been refund for half month rent of storage .
Storage paid up until 24th I moved on 2nd , was denied prorated rent. I was told by 2 phone reps it should be prorated. Safe to say U guys making double money on the same unit.
The general manager was a true gem, not only did he dig our box out in record time he did it without complaint and in the rain all the while taking care of a heavy saturday work load.
Rats & Roaches all in my property that I wouldn't come back r recommend no one
