See review for contract # 20320911 for the full story. This location knowingly gave us a damaged truck that was taken out of service the day before we were scheduled to pick up a truck, and they did not properly secure the trailer to it either. It ended up popping off while were loading our car and hit me in the leg. My mother, who was in the car, could have gotten hurt, not to mention our vehicle could have been damaged in the fiasco.

I originally had a pickup location on Holiday Dr. (I have a screen shot of the confirmation). Two days later, I get on the site to add a trailer, and see that it was switched without my consent to a location in Slidell, which is almost an hour away. Come to find out, the first location I selected is out of business, yet was still listed on the Uhaul site. The email I received about the switch came at 4:36 p.m. two days later (I ended up finding it in my junk mail), but the link it had on it to communicate that this did not work for me, didn't work. It went to a 404 error page. Also, I don't understand why, when they realized the error, they did not call or even pick another location in the same town. Why pick a town an hour away? Then, Saturday morning, the day of my move, we discovered the trailer was not attached correctly, because when we were posting the car, it popped off and hit me in the leg. Between that and the fact that my mom was in the car we were loading on, as it turns out, an inappropriately secured trailer, someone could have really gotten hurt. And that wasn't even the only potentially dangerous issue. Sunday we found out that the Uhaul place in New Orleans knowingly gave us a truck that had a damaged tire and rim because that was the only 15 foot truck they had. Even the woman at the Uhaul location in Milton said that we should have been offered a 20 foot truck at the price we were paying for the 15 foot truck. But no, they knowingly gave us a truck that was taken out of service, then never serviced before they gave it to us, and the tire blew out on a trip that was less than 250 miles. I am extremely unhappy with this entire Uhaul experience, particularly the damaged equipment and the fact that I got hit by the improperly secured trailer, and that my mother could have gotten hurt as well, not to mention that our vehicle could have been damaged.

They gave me the truck with less than a quarter of a tank no big deal. So I tried to stop and fill it up and the gas tank was clogged it took 20 mins to put $5 in it not exaggerating. And then they charged me $80 for bringing it back on E even though that's what it came to me on. Terrible service

We were charged $20 for a late fee because we got the trailer returned at 9:00 AM instead of 8:00 AM since we didn't have any paperwork indicating when the trailer needed to be returned. We will never do business with U-Haul again and will surely spread the word about what an awful and greedy company it is.

Hire more men to work in the lot. One man to take trucks in, take trucks out, do propane and attach/detach trailers. He was so overworked! One man for about 10 customers all getting annoyed, not fair to worker.

The process for picking up the truck using the mobile website was slow and painful. The website kept having errors when trying to enter information, and while there was some helpful information in the original email about mobile pickup, it was buried too deep for me to notice at first. It would be much better to encourage customers to fill out relevant information ahead of time.

It took 45 mins to get my trailer even though I pre-checked in and there were only 3 other people in line. The person at the desk said it was because several staff members didn't show up that morning. This put me behind schedule so I missed the closing time by 15 mins for the business I was delivering to and then had to drive an hour away to drop it at another location.

The process to pickup your truck is way too long for no contact pickup (phone app to pick uo) - still had to make contact in the office to sign paperwork to be able to pick up the key to the vehicle. I had to wait 15 minutes in the store to be told I didn't finish the online check out process by examining the vehicle first and then come back and pick up the key. This is definitely a check out process that is cumbersome and I wont use the no contact check out process again.

Try not charging extra kiney for not doing the check in process when none of the staff mentioned said process, the staff member ignored the customer when trying to ask and the signage on the building was poor. The truck was back in time, while a staff member was present, and I would appreciate my $60 back. This location has ripped me off for the last time.

I rented a truck at 8 am for 24/7 pick up three weeks in advance and was unable to get the truck until the location opened at 9. After finally getting a key to a truck, I go out into the lot to find it completely blocked by 4 other trucks and I had to go find someone to move the trucks. It was 9:30 am before I even drove off of the lot. There was no way to get ahold of anyone to help me, I called the GM whose number is on the front door and left a message and never heard back. Overall this was a terrible and very stressful experience. I had to pay a babysitter and four movers for an hour and a half while I waited to get this truck costing me a lot of extra money.

The morning I went to the store to do my pick-up 10-24-2020 that I reserved on 10-19-2020 the manager had a horrible ATTITUDE at 8:30 a.m. it was just early to have that type of attitude. The whole company and especially this location needs to close. The service and this experience has been the worst customer experience I have ever had. The manager and the company have no desire to actually help customers. I do not even know why you bother to send a survey, and NOTHING will change or be done about.

It is impossible to reach anyone by phone at uhaul without waiting at least 40 minutes on hold; Once you g eat someone, it is even less likely that they will be able to answer your specific question, without transferring you or placing you on hold for another 40 minutes. I chose Ubox because I thought it would be convenient. Instead, I was unable to ship my Ubox anywhere near my desired destination, and ended up paying even more to rent another uhaul and go pick up the box myself in an entirely different city. Never mind the Herculean effort of calling, holding, transferring, organizing, and absolutely insane hemorrhaging of cash on my part- when I arrived at the uhaul location 5 hours from home to unload my Ubox (before driving back another 5 hours to unload the truck!) the young man informed me that the fork lift operator was on lunch and left the forklift parked directly in front of my Ubox and, “are you in a hurry?” He then proceeded to disappear into the maze of unboxes and hide so he would not have to face my frustration. I hate this company. I hate the way it is organized and the way it is run, i hate how much money and time and Energy I have had to pour into this process and I most certainly will never be using the company again.

When I returned the trailer a member of the UHaul staff came and unhooked the trailer. He checked the cargo area for cleanliness, took down the number and told me he would check it back in. He said I would receive a text or email. I did not receive a text or email till the next day after my CC company alerted me to a charge where the card was not present. I spent the better part of the next morning explaining to the location that my trailer was retuned on time but they did not check it in till 24 hours after I dropped it off. Conveniently the price was almost identical to what it was supposed to be but I knew my card had already been charge in Hattiesburg (the point of origin).

I had an auto dollie and needed it to be released and given to U-Haul; however, at first, it was unknown if they wanted to accept the dollie and then later, the truck. The dollie was left and the truck a couple of days later - with no problem; however, I was charged a fee for extgra mileage - which was unexpected to me and arbitrarily taken from my bank account which I find not at all good since I did not receive any paperwork apprising me of this very thing. I told the person that helped me, the location back and forth. I told her it was 25 miles to get there and 25 miles to get back. Still she only put 25 after asking me multiple times. I did not get a refund bc honestly I didn't wanted to waste my time any longer

Multiple mix ups on type of equipment and pick up times, locations. Most of it caused by UHaul.com. I paid extra to drop the truck in Cashiers, NC, very near my destination. I was offered a "deal" discounting the rental by approx $90 to drop off in Mountain City, GA. I declined. Rental documents sent then assigned me to Otto, NC, about the same distance drive as Mountain City, GA! Staff at the Tulane location couldn't help. I'll check out Penske next time

I chose the “truck share 24/7” option; upon arrival I found that there were two other vans parked behind the van I was assigned so I was forced to go inside which is not what I wanted to do during a pandemic, especially when not all of the employees were wearing masks. Instead of simply moving the other two vans out of the way, the male employee on site decided to try to change the van I was assigned which took far too long and turned the entire process into a horrible experience. I will definitely not be returning to this location for future rentals.

UHaul offers contactless pickup and drop off but their technology failed at this. So I still had to go inside; wait in line a long time with people and then go through a tedious process to rent a truck that was I was supposed to be able to just drive off with. Same thing when I returned it. It's not like it's a huge problem, but it was a waste of time and I really am trying to deal with people the least during covid. The truck worked fine, however it was not in great condition. The cab doors both did not close completely unless slammed hard. So hard that it always took multiple tries. The knob was missing from the driver's window mechanism and I could not get the rear view mirror on the driver side to move/adjust.

I was actually the opening Manager before the storage units were built. We worked out of the temporary trailer when everything was manual before computerized. That was in the mid 70’s. It was great to use the service of the facility that launched my career. Than you and I will love to refer people to your facility.

Staff is very nice but this place has a major pest problem. Most of the items in my unit had to be thrown away or deep cleaned as it was covered in rat feces and urine. Traps aren't helping!

This place has a severe mouse and roach problem. They will NOT warn you beforehand. Many of my items were damaged. I am thoroughly disgusted! There is no excuse for such poor maintenance!

Storage paid up until 24th I moved on 2nd , was denied prorated rent. I was told by 2 phone reps it should be prorated. Safe to say U guys making double money on the same unit.
