The location was under-staffed; only one employee was on duty when I came to return the equipment. There was a line of six vehicles outside waiting for return processing and a number of customers inside; the employee was so stressed that she locked the doors to the store. After waiting 30 minutes I simply put my keys in the drop box; since I don't use a smart phone, I had to suffer the service charge. This puts people without smart phones at a disadvantage. Please hire more people--we all want to deal with human beings.

Very poor experience - the equipment I rented 2 weeks ahead of time was not available, the employees were verbally yelling at customers or did not even care upon return (was in headphones smoking a cigarette and barely spoke 2 words). Just a horrible experience overall

Both locations provided great service. They explained how drop-off and pick up worked. However, I will say that the pick-up service could have been better explained on the front end. I was dealing with scheduling issues for leaving the area. It was only then I was told that I did not need to be at the house for them to pick up the U-boxes. It would have saved considerable grief if they had. The receiving location was able to reschedule my delivery to a couple days earlier. That helped out a lot. Overall? Great service. Oh, get rid of those Phase 1 and Phase 2 boxes. They don't inspire much confidence.

We were told ubox would be delivered between noon and 4 but ended up being delivered by the office man after 6PM... Apparently regular delivery person refused to deliver after 5PM, also the bed frame ended up with a broken wheel.

Have more than 2 employees on duty. Very Busy Place for 2 to handle the incoming Phone calls and wait on the customers waiting in line. It took a longer time to return the vehicle than to pick it up. 2 people to help customers in line, on the phone and return vehicles on top of everything else you have them do is outrageous yet common for big businesses.

Wow!!! The service and ease of operation at this location is to be commended. I've rented from U Haul 4 times this summer from different locations and had problems every single time. I drove 43 miles out of my way to use this location rather than the previous ones and it was well worth it. I regret not getting the name of the friendly young lady who checked me in and the 2 incredible guys who hooked me up to trailer and then helped me return it. Excellence all around.

Horrible customer service, the associate that helped me seemed like he had better things to do than help, also mumbled under his breath and acted surprised when I couldn't hear him. Was not friendly at all, when he was done with my Id, he flicked it at me under the Plexiglas. Other associate was on her phone while another customer was waiting. Overall will not be returning to this location.

It wasn't the location that was the issue, I spent over 3 hours total on hold ( over a total of 4 calls ) to talk to someone about an issue checking the equipment in after hours, the customer service was great once I got to talk to someone but the wait time is ridiculous and something needs to change or I will be looking into other companies in the future. And I still haven't gotten a email confirmation the my equipment was returned.

this location lied to me when i called , the main girl explain yes my ubox was their , but i still want to talk to a manager as we was having issue from the beginning period , found out the box didn't get picked up till June 14 when it was exposé to be picked up may 28th , at least a phone call should have been give but instead i was given a rude woman and was lied to , not the other lady who called me directly couldn't find my box this how i found out it wasn't where the first said , she made sure it got picked up on the 14th of june so now here the arrival of it now really messed up to here in tucson az which the date was the 16 of jun i am still waiting on my compensation due to it states in allotter I got that for each day it was late it will be 50 dollars for each day I only have received 400 of the 740 , but i am also asking for the remind of the deliver fee be returned to me as well as since the pick up as no done as promised if only was communicated with a lot would have been avoided.

Many things cannot be handled through your website and your phone wait times are atrocious, leading me to believe you are understaffed. I was often cut-off mid-sentence by people on the phone and transferred before completing my request. My U-Box arrival was changed to after when my moving help was available 3 times. U-Haul San Francisco indicated that they would not be able to deliver the U-Box to my apartment complex, but U-Haul Hayward were able to. I would like to issue a special thank you to Alfonso from U-Haul Hayward. Almost every step of this move process has been a logistical nightmare with many setbacks, and Alfonso was the only person who went out of his way to assure quality customer service and that I was getting what I paid for. He is the only reason I would consider doing business with U-Haul again.Both drop-off drivers were courteous as well.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Eve at the Syracuse facility who I communicated with during the storage switch. She was such a huge help while I was out of state and very proactive in communicating. Eve helped me through all the specifics and explained a lot of the complicated steps - basically sorted everything things out smoothly and conveniently. Huge shoutout to Eve, she definitely made my first time using UHaul the best it can be.

Start by hiring people that will at least say hello, thank you, MAY I HELP YOU ! So I rented a truck to move business material. I waited no less than 15 minutes before anyone appeared that may of worker there. He was a black gentleman with dreads. He strolled to the counter with effort and made zero effort to acknowledge any of us were there and there were many of us in the store at that time. I walked ahead of others and asked him if it was possible to get some assistance. He refused to even look at us or respond and everyone was like WTF at that point. About 4 minutes later he pointed to the man ahead me and was at least able to grumble enough to be heard. Then the woman came out and no comment what so ever just standing there and grunted next. I walked up and stood there with my card and license out and waited till she grunted again. After a couple minutes of being sick of her hating the fact she's working with the public I said to her You really don't like your job here do you . She looked directly at me and said NO. I immediately responded with then why dont you quit and go home so someone wanting to work can help us. I said nothing more to her until she handed me the truck key. It gets better ...... I was there the day before and asked if the 15 ft truck was actually 15 or was it. I was told it was s true 15 ft. I got to the truck and saw it was only a 12 foot bed. I needed a 15 and no less. I went back in the store to see about canceling the order and getting a longer truck. The girl was gone so I dealt with the black gentleman. I have to say he was very respectful and honest with me on my refund. He explained that he didn't know how to cancel it so I would have to wait then he called a woman on the phone and she said it was complicated so I said no biggy. I left and went to the truck and sat there a minute and decided to ask if they had a bigger truck. The gentleman said I'm sorry I just rented the last one to the guy walking out. I went to me car and sat there wondering what I could do and called the U-haul corporate and asked if I could get one local as this place was out. A young lady told me I sure can there are 5 at the teal ave location. I explained I'm there now and was told there's none. She made reservation for me on the phone with my credit card and I went back in. The same gentleman was at the counter and I handed him the piece of paper with my reservation number on it and his face caught his knee caps. As he was writing up the order he says to me ..... Oh I see now that truck just came in..... Imagine that cause the truck was sitting in the same spot it was when I got there 2 hours ago. Naw I wouldn't rent from that store... Any of there others maybe but not the corner of Canal and Teal in Syracuse.

Because you cannot deliver or pick up every day, I have to rent the box for two months. For example, if I want the box comes on Friday, but you can come only on Monday, I think you should not count extra 4 days. In addition, if you somehow cannot deliver in your scheduled time window, you should let customer know. For my case, you said driver would come between 9 and 12, but I had to wait to 5:45! I don't want to complain delay, but you should let me know.

It rained overnight when I had the truck packed, and a lot of the contents got wet! The whole floor of the truck was wet! So when I went to pick up the boxes , everything fell out the bottom! It was very disappointing and made a lot of extra work! Unhappy customer!

I picked the trailer up Thursday night loaded the dressers first and had about 1/2 the trailer full Friday morning I opened the trailer and it was leaking a stream of water on top of my wife's dresser and clothes I then drove back to the rental location had to unload the stuff in the rain and hook up to another trailer and reload that one the second trailer didn't leak and towed beautiful when we got to our location 3 days later we unloaded the trailer and the top of the dresser is delaminating the manager at that location Jamie Bouchard was very helpful the day I brought the leaking one back and was great today when I returned it very understanding she reimbursed me for the charges because of the way I was treated I will continue to use uhaul and recommend them

I used the contactless app and went up to side counter to retrieve the key. The cashier had no idea what I was doing, no intention of addressing me and didn't speak one word to me except "what" then throw the key at me after I really tried to get her attention. What should have been an easy interaction was incredibly rude and upsetting.

First, the guy helping me had zero personality and very unfriendly. I sus all the online check un but had to redo it all again at the store so i am unsure why they even do a online check in. The truck and teailer were not ready to go, i had to go get thevtruck out of the lot of other trucks and drive it over to where the trailers were. No idea what trailer i was to take and the guy that was to help me never came out so another female employee helped me in the rain. Im not sure why i couldn't pick up the truck at the location i asked for. No excuse for that. I'm not even sure why im doing this survey, won't change anything and i already paid so, i don't see a discount coming ir any kind of compensation.

I can't believe that the company is manipulating another $20 from customers. Is I don't use online to let who? Know that I dropped the truck off at night. Its a rip-off bc the intake won't know it's there till they come in in the morning anyway. Plus the process is the same for you either way. It just makes me rent less from you.

I had a good experience with this location/team every time I've rented a vehicle with them. The staff is friendly, clear with instructions/information, and ready to help if needed. Could staff more people first thing in the morning (seems everyone likes an early start when moving) BUT I completely understand if that's difficult. No one wants to be up then. I certainly don't if I have a choice.

The inexperienced agent was clueless. I did not get operational directions on how to enter and leave the secure key card access system. I had to make 3 separate trips back to the storage office to try to get access to the facility the 1st time. Thats the only complaint that I have for this location. Otherwise it was perfect.

While the actual storage unit was excellent, the customer service and overall experience with Uhaul made our move more difficult. Both for our truck rental and storage unit, reservations (made months prior) were "not found" upon our arrival. The uhaul pickup was 40 minutes away from our apartment (because they didn't have our truck at the original location which was inconvenient to begin with) and the tank was 1/4 full so we had to fill up before we could even get home. The storage place took over 45 minutes to "check in" and required THREE phone numbers and TWO addresses to even access. How do you have 2 addresses if you are moving? Overall we were not satisfied with our service with Uhaul and will be looking for different options next time.

Everything was great. However, when we arrived at the storage facility, we found the sliding, electronic doors wide open. (Storage users are supposed to use their swipe cards to gain access). The doors remained that way for the duration of the move into our rental space. The building was completely unsecured during this time. I called the front desk to notify them & they said they'd fix the problem. However, the front desk should receive an immediate alarm notification if the doors are open for an unreasonable amount of time or malfunctioning. Otherwise, you are exposing your renters & their belongings to safety hazards.
