The paper lie, about how much gas ,was in the truck. It wasn't a full tank of gas. It was a 1/4 of tank of gas. I didn't realize it, until I was at the my destination. The receipt showed me how much was my refund. My bank account showed something totally different. I had put the gas back in the truck. The truck had needed a lot of work to It. The brakes, steering column, transmission and etc. Stopping at a red light, The truck will jerk and go forward a little. You have to drive the truck with both hands real tight on the steering wheel. The truck shakes real real bad. The only good thing that happened, I have a chance to move some of my things not all. Now I have to rent another truck to move the other things. It was so bad trying to drive it, I was late returning the truck. The truck that was rented, was big enough to move my whole 726 sqft. Couldn't do that. Because when you the drive truck it wasn't shifting gears. Bottom line the truck wasn't pulling.Leandy H.
There was a confusion with the UBox pickup using a small pickup truck but the staff helped and replaced it with the 15 ft truck so we can move out things. To improve, have more trailers for the uboxes because many are just picking it up.Vianca B.

As I have been complaining since I got the vehicle from you guys that y'all put me and my items in jeopardy the poor maintenance on the vehicle was not even up-to-date the check engine light kept going off so was the lights on the dashboard the dashboard information was not even correct and I'm getting charge for it I have been requesting for someone to give me a call I have also been requesting for someone at the store to give me a call about something that was left at the top of the dashboard which is my garage key no one has even gave me the customer service that I am due and for you to overcharge me is very misleadingDaniella S.

Delivered to a different Uhaul location located 30 minutes away from intended location. Box seemed to have been dropped as every container in the box had a crush and crumpled bottoms. The sales agents were very cold and â€œuncaringâ€ when asked about moving the box to a closer location. Not worth the $2200 charged for the service. The delivery location change is one thing but to also have all the plastic moving containers crushed just isn't worth the hassle or money.Brittany G.

Not charge people the $20 convenience fee when they did the proper mobile return. The truck was also a little shaky. Appears as though it may have been the suspension. It also needs a serious wheel alignment.Shondell M.

At the beginning I was supposed to get a trailer that was deteriorated, but we talked to a lady and she helped us change it for a nicer one. Very good staffAngie P.
The customer service was great! I was not happy once I got to the storage room. It was to far around the back for me, then it was too far from the entrance. But to top that off, when I opened the storage room (1310) it had a black box (rodent catcher) inside of it. That was my biggest problem with my storage room. I can't do rodents at all. I was told it is required in the state of NC for all storages to have; but not true because I have a current storage rental that do not have the black box. The employee told me it was not for rats, it was for the bugs that would come from another unit. Either way, I can't do rodent's or bugs, so I was not happy about the storage rental, so I cancelled my rental of the room.Tinmakel N. | First Impressions

The woman behnd the desk seemed friendly and fine. I did cellphone app check out so I didn't really have to interact with the desk personnel. However when i tried locating the truck I reserved, the woman outside cleaning the truck just seemed so unhappy to actually do anything. She did point me in the direction of the truck, however it was incorrect (no big deal) we found it shortly after. But the entire time I asked her anything I felt as though I was bothering her. I was working through the process on the app to secure my truck, and while doing that she beeped at me and asked me to move the truck out of the way, I still wasnt complete with the instructions on the app, and the truck was right where she had left it previously, had not even driven the truck yet. She was literally miserable. It was incredibly bizarre. Not once did she smile (not required of course), but it definitely made me feel like I was a nuisance, when I was literally just working through the app checkin process. What a bizarre experience. Although Alicia was pleasant, I had a storage unit(1901) at this location for about almost 3 years. Somehow my lock got cut off my storage unit door and a green tag was put on the door of my unit and per the system, I had moved out the unit. Which I didn't move my stuff. I'm not sure if any of my stuff is missing but when I move out the unit I will inform management. I will be moving my stuff soon.Vonnesha M. | First Impressions
Although I was t happy with Uhaul and I waited for Marilyn to send a survey but she didn't and as rude as she was she would have received a terrible but true one. During my tenure, the management changed hands and during that time my storage space got infested and my insurance claim was rejected for my loss. A few months later the management did repair the issues of my space and did allot me time to retrieve my items. While my bill was comp'd, I still got phone calls and emails for bill payment. I ignore them, but it is so annoying . The time frames and communication, and maintenance were not professional, but the attendants were very nice about it. I am grateful for what I could retain, but due to the amount of infestation, I did not trust the idea of nests inside of my electrical equipment and was still rendered a major loss from my perspective .Marlena S. | Overall Experience

I rented the uhaul for a day and I ended up going over another day and 20 hrs, i did miss a few calls but I did get in contact and paid for the truck the same day , on my way back to bringing the truck they called me and said that they put me back in the â€œred barâ€ and the police is now looking for the car â€¦. After I paid for the truck and brought it back, it was kind of weird to me , do not recommend â€â™€ï¸Jessica A.

The staff at Charlotte location were unfriendly and did not want to help at all even the call center or whoever they transferred to was unfriendly. they didn't leave a loading dolly and packing pads which we ordered and paid for anyways before I left a comment called and talked but no help there either. I can go on and on but what's the point. Didn't get my money back. The third party loaders they were the worst they took 6 hours for a 2 bed room. The foremen said don't tell my boss just pay us directly, very unprofessional, I understand they get paid by the hour but this is not the right way. Never had such bad experience. left a bad taste. I turned in an online move out on the 13th of October due to no one being at the front desk when we stopped by on the way off site. On the 24th of October, I am receiving emails regarding my bill... I was told walk thru's were to be completed on the property daily; which clearly isn't happening or I wouldn't have received an email reminding me of a bill. I have never been treated so bad in my life as a customer until now from Cindy Madison in the Statesville store on Boxmeer dr charlotte nc . The regional manager name Buck was so bad saod that he was calling the police if o called with a question as to why he kept cancelling my reservations. These folks wete aweful and they repesent a brand that we all use UHAUL!! The office area is nice and updated but the storage unit area is a little dated with uneven floors so your items can fall off the carts on your way to your unit. All of the key pads don't work for you to gain access to the storage units. There was also water leaks in my unit the very next day as it was raining the day I moved in and the day after. Cindy Madison is one of the most honest and dedicated moving and storage specialists I have ever met in my life. She customized and arranged a plan of service for me without having met me in person, and using only information about my needs provided by phone and email. When I arrived, the arrangement for my Ubox service needs was already made available. All I can say is I wish I would have transfered to this location months ago when I was feeling stuck and hopeless at a previous location. I hope Uhaul will have customer support specialists contact customers every 3 weeks to see if relocation is what they need, as remaining àt a location that is causing one problems usually never results in problems being resolved.Amanda J. | First Impressions

First the staff member assigned me to a unit that had someone else's lock on it. So we had to wait for her to assign me a new one. She told me I could bring my own lock. Then I went in to grab something yesterday and there was a second lock added to our unit by the Uhaul team. We called the front desk to ask why and have it removed when a second staff member said that the first lady never switched our storage unit in the system. So I was late to work because I had to wait for the last to come and unlock the unit. She then informed me that I was not allowed to only have my own lock and that I would have to use Uhauls lock as well. Allowed me to reserve a unit that wasn't available although the territory representative assured me that they would be able to fix that at the location. Got there and was told I'd have to take 4 much smaller units which caused me to unfortunately have to get rid of some of my furniture. Then the guy had the nerve to tell me i couldn't dispose of the furniture on the property when there was a huge mess of a dump in the back. A buch of I don't knows and we can't do thats. I reserved a unit online, to reserve it you had to leave a deposit and I did. The day of moving in after packing a 27 foot truck, they had no information regarding my reservation. Thank God I took a picture of my reservation with my cell phone and it was saved in my phone. I provided them with my name and they pretended they didn't see the information. I provided them with the reservation number and now they were able to see the information. I was told, they did not have the unit I reserved. Therefore, they said they would provide me with a unit that equal up to what I reserved. I was completely satisfied until I attempted to move in the unit and the size did not equal to the size I was promised. So we had to take the items back home because the office was closed and the size did not fit my items. I rented the truck for 1 day therefore, I had to return the truck the next morning. We all know moving is a nightmare. I had night terrors with Uhaul. I called 1-800-go-uhaul and spoke with customer service and provided them with my experience and asked for the CEO's information, the representative asked me to call the location before I contact. After reading the information from Uhaul, asking me to try to resolve any disputes before leaving a feedback. I called and on hold for 25 minutes. I can't.Patricia G. | First Impressions

My storage unit was filled with cockroaches and water bugs upon leaving. I moved in on April 24th, 2021 and moved out on June 15th 2021. My items were not even in storage for a full 60 days. We alerted the property due to the infestation. Now I am worried about having brought bugs into my new home and needing extermination services. Unfortunately, my experience was the worst. I had two different purposes to be there and both times were horrible. The staff do no care about Customer Service each time they attempted to charge me extra for something. The customer care line says they will inform the manager and to expect a call no one ever does. Its like they think resolving the problem with out confirmation is ok. In my time I communicated my actions for my move out date on the 17th. I still received a bill so I called CC told them I had moved as I had called the main line 3x already with on answer and still was charged w late fee. It was simple and fast to RENT. UHaul took and accepted my money VERY quickly. I am at the convenient Drop off location and have been sent now 3 places for over 1.5 hours. UHaul does NOT want to take back the trailer before they close. I can NOT do any of this next day work say and have many things to do. supposedly had 24 hr access but we couldn't get into our unit. All of the doors were locked even tho my card worked. You need more than one person working the desk on weekends. It's very expensive to rent a storage unit, and I feel as if the storage unit is not used an entire month there should be a pay differential. As customers we have to go back and make sure we did damage anything as well as clean it before returning the storage unit or truck. For example the unit I had was $104 a month with taxes, I turned my unit in maybe a week and a half earlier and just from doing my math if you all offered a pay differential I should had received at the most $40 back which like most people it could really be used. The GM at the location even gave me false information saying he could give me a price differential as well as the wrong instructions to check out the storage unit.Alexis D. | Overall Experience
