I returned my UHaul and was charged A LOT more when I returned the truck with the same amount of gas and drove under the estimated mileage. But no one will explain why! I'm VERY UPSET!Natoshia W.

The website did not allow me to check in properly, so I had to wait in line to pick up the truck. The truck itself was in very rough shape. It did not appear to be cleaned properly. There was an oil spill or something on the step in the back. The truck had damage almost all around, which wouldn't be an issue if it was documented by Uhaul before hand! In my pre-check on the Uhaul site, the preloaded pictures showed a pristine truck, so I had to upload a bunch of pictures and descriptions of the damage. I left with the truck more than an hour later than planned due to this. 5 and a half hours after returning the truck I still have not received my receipt.Jonathan N.

Reserved a 17' truck and when I arrived was told I had a 15' which I was never notified about. If they didn't have the 17' I would have gone up in size instead of down. Now instead of being able to make my trip/load in 1 trip I was forced two take two trips which meant more miles. Given that I asked for a small discount to accommodate for this inconvenience caused by uhaul. The clerk working behind the desk paused, clearly showing she could do that for me, and instead said no you just have to take the smaller truck and too bad you will have to make more trips. When paying by the mile that's ridiculous to do to a customer. If the truck I reserved is not available then I should be notified and given the option of what to reserve from what is availableJoseph B.

The trailer was poorly maintained. We have rented several of these and pulled much larger trailers of of own. This is the only one that was entirely unsafe on the highway. It wobbled if we went over 50 mph and sometimes even below it. The trip took us twice as long because we were trying to not get pulled off the road by a a seating, wobbling, tripping trailer. I would recommend this location to anybody looking to rent a U-Haul moving truck or their supplies. The manager Taylor, was very pleasant very nice. One of the other workers, Tyrone was very accommodating very helpful. When I needed to switch out a caravan for a pickup truck there was no problems whatsoever and switching vehicles. Called up, made reservation, showed up. They told me I had to have a cell phone on me to rent a trailer. Nuts Gave out no rental agreement that proves I rented, didn't steal the trailer. Brought it back. They refused to give me a receipt proving I returned trailer. Told me all systems were down. Even ink pens not working, can't do reciepr. Finally, 30 min later, and o ly because they wanted to close did they again reinspect my trailer and write a reciepr. The text reciepr they said they sent me er arrived. Double charged me, and apparently can't issue my refund for another 3-5 business days.. said I returned the truck at 10am instead of 9am when I actually returned it at 6pm the evening before lol. Also, I paid for a dolly and was told it'd be in the back. It was not. When I called, I was told they were out but I'd get refunded. When I returned my truck, I asked about it and was told rudely that I hadn't been charged for it so there's no refund for that. The only complaint I have is that I walked into the U-Haul office on November 1st (the day my rent was paid through auto pay) and asked the following… "if I rent a truck from U-Haul today and clear out my storage today, will I get any money back on my rent that had just been paid for the entire month of November?" I was EXTREMELY disappointed to find out that I would not get anything back. I think that is ridiculous and unacceptable. At a minimum, I should have been given at least 1/2 a month back, knowing that you will likely re-rent that unit w/in 2 weeks. I was beyond disappointed in U-Haul as a company as a result. My family has spent quite a bit of money at U-Haul over the past year, and this situation will cause me/us to think twice and find alternate options the next time I need a truck or storage. Andrea is a very pleasant and helpful manager. The others team members were attentive and friendly. The young man that explained and showed me how things work was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. The facility was clean. There were not enough rolling carts to go around and luckily the person next to us was just finishing up with his cart. The elevator stopped working and should be checked. I rented the storage unit in April and couldn't get my stuff out because I couldn't see. I've contacted U-Haul through email stating that it would be fixed soon and wasn't. I left for FL in June and came back in August and still the light didn't work. The only answer I get since April is we know and working on it. The building housing my storage unit was clean and well maintained, however the restroom no so much. When you are moving in, or out of a storage unit depending on the size of the unit, or how much time you spend there, at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. I was typically in and out of there quickly, but the couple of times that I did need to use the restroom it was below standards in my opinion. Was it the most disgusting restroom that I have ever seen, no it wasn't, but it needs more thorough cleaning, and more frequent attention, especially given that it isn't a public restroom, so not just anybody has access to it. The only other problem that I had was that I moved into the unit in late May 2021 with the promo of 'One month free'. Before I completed my first paid, and first free month I received a notice of an increase on my rent. One of the reasons given was to ensure facility upkeep and cleanliness! This is the same facility that doesn't keep the restrooms clean! Bad move. First of all I just moved in and you are already increasing my rent! On top of that you say it's to help keep the facility clean, and I don't even want to use the restroom because it's just not clean enough??!! That's a hard pass for me. I immediately gave notice to move out. The general manager said that she doesn't decide when the rent is going to be increased, which is probably true, but software is a thing. They should have a program that can flag the move in date of each unit, and send an increase based on when you moved in, not just the same random date for everybody!! It leaves a bad taste when you just moved in!! At the end of the day, I found a facility that is much closer to my home, super clean, and at a price that I can live with! Having said all of that, the staff was always friendly, though the wait could be long sometimes even with just a couple of customers in ahead of you. We were dealing with an unexpeted situation that day, so finding a place that has truck rentals, AND storage facilities was awsome! We had previously decided to use a storage facility in Lone Tree, (which is VERY CLEAN) and closer to were we live, but having been given a unit in your newer building across the street which is also clean, AND brightly lit, we just decided to take advantage of the convenience of what you offer. Now when you are moving it takes time, so at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. That is where you guys fell down a little bit. While it wasn't throw-up inducing disgusting, it could have used some attention. There was dried #2 residue in the toilet bowl. The fact that it was dry, and would not even flush away after a couple of us used the facility indicates that it was probably left there from much earlier in the day (or maybe even from a previous day), and is really not acceptable. The bathroon should probably be checked AT LEAST once an hour, and the employees should be required to bring the proper cleaning materials with them EVERY SINGLE time, so that they can address whatever problem they encounter. They aren't going to use their hands to clean a dang somewhat public toilet, which is obviously understood. That's why they need to bring a toilet brush with them (or maybe even leave one in the bathroom) because NO ONE is going to steal a nasty toilet brush. Cleaning the toilet regularly will also cut down on stinky bathroom odors. We got hungry at a certain point and ran to grab some food to bring back to the facility (we ate it on the curb outside), so we needed to wash our hands. Dealing with the bathroom right before eating was frankly, GROSS! Other than the bathroom, I was quite happy with the experience. Professionally managed by Rich Asher who not only makes this Aurora location the best choice in Greater Denver but really knows his business. I rented trucks and storage for over two years. I had my things in there for 5 years all the guys that I came in contact with when calling in with questions they were always nice polite courteous I can only remember a few names Benjamin rich and I just talked to two guys the other day but I can't remember their name the overall I was happy and prayerfully I never need storage again but if I do.
