I did not top off the tank because I only drove 16 miles using your truck. Y'all tried to charge me $47.99 for fuel. I had to return to the store to get $30 of it back because you added a fuel service charge to my return contract that was not on the pickup contract. And you still charged me 4 gallons for 16 miles of driving. I don't know many trucks that get 4 mpg. I felt cheated and taken advantage of, still do. Especially considering you advertise 10 mpg for your trucks. None of it adds up.STEPHEN H.

My husband and I have rented storage units in the past at many different places as well as states. This is the cleanest facility we have ever been in. Very well lit. Convenient with the moving carts. There was a big moving truck that pulled in minutes in front of us. There was only the one functioning door. However, there was ample space for us to park our truck and trailer where we were still able to unload. We are very impressed with this facility and the staff is great!Kimberly G. | First Impressions

The drop off location i provided when I made my reservation was changed somehow so i had to call to change it back. I also made a storage reservation which somehow disappeared but the gentleman at the drop off location was very helpful and super patient. We let him know we might need help so he came out to the unit to check on us to make sure everything was going ok with our move in to the unit. We got everything taken care of but him coming over to make sure we were good was truly reassuring. Overall, we had a good experience with the staff. Your trucks need to be updated though. My experience was not the best. When i arrived no one was around. I had to go to another part of the store, where I'm sure customers are not allowed to find an associate. Once i found an associate, he was awesome as far as service. The truck i received was clean but it was missing a head light and was very damaged on both sides. When I arrived to return the truck, I was not greeted. There was an associate cleaning the truck in front of me, she spoke and left us outside. After about 10 minutes of waiting, i went inside to find someone, she said "oh the system is down so you just have to leave it. I was then charged $15 for gas, I returned the truck exactly how i received it. For that, I would like someone to contact me. No one went over the truck with me when i returned and I dont appreciate being charged when no associate even greeted us to walk around the truck or anything.SHAVAE T.
This was my first time having such a terrible experience with a rental vehicle from UHaul. The inside of the cab was not clean and the drive was anything but smooth. The truck's engine was loud and seemed like it struggled to accelerate. When it reached about 60 mph the truck shook and it felt like it was going to fall apart or that maybe a wheel was loose or not aligned. (I'm no mechanic) I honestly did not feel safe in the vehicle. I was not able to make these comments because the system was down when it was time to return the vehicle. I use UHaul quite often for my business and this is the first negative experience. I LOVE the guys that work at our UHaul store on Sparkleberry here in Columbia SC. They are ALWAYS so polite, kind and very helpful. It seems more and more difficult to find such quality employees any more. Very refreshing to go In there. And we have two storage units at that location and have had them since July. Gave me Inferior equipment. Must send there problem equipment on one way trips trips. My truck had a cracked windshield and my trailer was just a piece of junk and cost me a lot of time because of burning up brakes ! The strap on 1 tire of my corvette popped off twice also ! Disclose mileage minimum on website when booking so that there are no surprises when you go to the location. Ex. Rented a pick up truck $29.99. Get to the rental center and find out there is a minimum of 50 miles and then what ever is not used will be refunded. It would be nice to know that up frontDONALD P.

When we dropped our trailer off with a full ubox, we were told that it would be put up right then and that it didn't need a lock. Three days later, I got a call from the location asking if we were going to come pickup our ubox. I explained to them that we had dropped it off 3 days ago and that it was supposed to be stored. I came to find out that it had set unlocked in their parking lot door 3 days with all of our belongings in it. I went to verify that our items were still in the ubox and then they put it up. When it was time for us to pick up the ubox, I gave 48 hours notice since that is what was recommended. When my husband arrived to retrieve the box he waited nearly 45 minutes to be told it would be another 45 minutes. We had to return later in the day to pick it up because he couldn't wait another 45 minutes. Overall, the staff was friendly and the idea of the ubox is convenient, but I do not feel as if our belongings or time was respected during this experience.Andrew B.

When picking up u-haul equipment, ubox etc; give the customer the professional courtesy to advise you are present on the property.mIn my case I had my lock on to protect your pads from being stolen, they came by at a different scheduled pickup time. took the box and my lock was still on, They charged me, caused a bank charge OD...it was refunded yesterday (5) days after picking up the box and now I am still penalized because I have to wait for it to hit my bank account in maybe 3-5 more days. What an unnecessary headache for me the customer when all they had to do was ring the bell to say Msl Simmons is everything all clear for us to take the box instead of assuming it was full. I was doing something to protect YOUR property and ended up getting the short end of the stick.....This experience has been very stressful for me!lorraine S.
Scheduling my Uhaul was an issue; the site I was sent to did not have the truck I needed and then I was on hold for over an hour- my move was grossly delayed. Then, through the office I setup automatic payments and asked the gentleman twice if we were good to go- turns out we were not. I got the payment due notification, but all of my bills are set up to auto pay and it didn't autopay- I immediately paid and emailed the agent and never heard back. Logged into my account and the auto pay was not set up. So I set it up- the following month was the same issue. This time I called instead, they waived the late fee and corrected the issue. The site does not save properly, and is full of discrepancies (payment never saved properly and misinformation on vehicle availability) . However, majority of Uhaul staff are patient and accommodating- I thank those gentlemen who assisted through each hurdle.Shavon C. | Overall Experience

The first van I received was not clean at all. It was filthy. However, the rep was very accomadating and exchanged my van for another. Although it was fairly clean there could have been a better job with cleaning all the vans. There was trash and cigerette butts behind the seats as well as the cup holder and console could have been better cleaned.BIDDIEYA S.
They were busy so I dropped the keys for a later inspection. I was charged an extra $51.00 for fuel. I just got gas right before pulling in. Luckily I took a picture of the dashboard at drop off. Then I tried to upgrade my unit and because if another glitch my lock was cut off. I've also been trying to get a hitch installed. That order also got erased. The only good and stress free part about our move was this uhaul location and how understanding they are.
