When scheduling a reservation a month in advance. I expected to have access to the truck upon the reservation time that I had scheduled. An email was sent to me that the reservation had been changed but upon clicking the link it provided, nothing had changed. I received no phone call a day prior to my pickup and when calling the location they assured me that the truck was going to be there the next day (my reservation day). When I arrived, I was told that my truck was at a different location 15 miles away, I called that location and they too said that my truck was not there. I was transferred to the reservations department, explained my situation and was told the closest truck was 50+ miles away, asked if I can drive with a trailer box, or even two smaller trucks. When making a reservation a month in advance, one would expect that it would be honored, or at least Uhaul call and notify that something has changed... To accept a reservation you have to allow for a Uhaul representative to call you up to 48hrs prior so I'm not sure how they got lost there... Eventually was able to get the truck later that day with no apology or further explanation, very disappointed with the company as a whole.Ryan B.

I was shown a truck in Georgia and told it was 12 foot. I ordered a 15 van when I got the truck in Az I went back and asked about the discrepancy and the manager essentially said not my problem and brushed me off. When I asked her to let uhaul know she again said not my job not my problem. She was not about helping customers all about what is in my defined area of responsibility and apparently customer service was not in the boxCarl K.

I think it was pretty petty to charge for 5 miles over. I flew into Las Vegas and rented the truck at the closest location to McCarren airport. From there I had to drive to the Northwest part of the valley via 215, before heading to Arizona. If there are limited miles that should be disclosed in bold writing.BRENT K.

Hard to enjoy the star when you're the brightest building in town. Maybe tiny the windows so your a/c bill will go down. Customers know how to find you without the super bright light. The two snow flakes working are bitches. Lazy ass bitches. I pull in at 6:45 pm to return 5'x8' enclosed trailer. I'm disabled. They never out of the office to help me disconnect everything. When I got inside the office, I asked the two upity snow flakes why they didn't come out to help. All I got was silent nasty looks from them. Hello, I was told my $139 charge was just a deposit and it would come off my card within a day. It has been 3 days and it has hard posted now. My original truck was also 15 feet and 8:30am pick up. I got called the night before that my time had to be moved to 9:30am. Before I left my house to get the truck I decided to call to make sure everything was ready. They said the previous customer never returned the truck and I have to wait a couple days for a truck. I told them this is unacceptable and I have no way to stay in the home I was in. They offered me a 10 foot truck and said there would be two $30 discounts. I had already paid $139 and $32 for shipping supplies at this time. When I got to uhaul, the lady said I needed to pay again because it didn't show in her system that I paid. I was there for half an hour waiting for her to find my payment and trying to convince her that I paid. I finally pulled it up on my phone and showed her my credit card app. She said I didn't have to pay but she also said that she can't apply any credits until after the truck is returned. I begged her to leave notes because I knew there would just be more problems at check out. At check out no one knew how to apply credits, they said there's no way to do that in the system. They said I owed another $13 and that the $139 would come off the card in a day. So now I have paid for my supplies, whatever the $13 is for and whatever the $139 is for. The person who told me I would have the 2 $30 credits is Brandi and she works at San Tan Valley on Hunt Highway.ALEXANDRA P.

Vehicle was great, no issues there. But we only drove 20+ miles and when we went to fill it up, it took 5 gallons. It was a van. I suspect that it was given to us without a full tank of gas. There is no way it got such bad gas mileage that it would require 5 gallons of gas when we drove under 30 miles. We got ripped off on that one.Lynn C.

The location itself was great. However, when I called customer service and asked about extending the use for a few days, they said it would only be $20 per day. No mention of the extra charge for coverage that I didn't need at that point. The customer service team also called me again and asked about when I planned to return the trailer. Honor reservations! Reserved a 26' truck 5 weeks in advance and had to leave lots behind when my only option on moving day was a 20' truck. Now I have to fly back across the country and rent another truck, on top of the storage costs I've incurred because my 26' truck was given away the night before my reservation. Had to drive 84 miles out of my way, zero reimbursement from U Haul even when I made my reservation months in advance. My truck had windshield wipers with no rubber left on them, that made driving in the rain really unsafe and dangerous.HAK JIN K.

The worst customer service overall here & colorado!! I will never rent a truck from you all ever again... You over book your trucks, don't contact till very last minute of absolutely no trucks.. Then you don't rent certain trucks one way, but don't mention that at all! I have never had issues in the past with uhaul, but my last 2 within the last 4 months has been the utter worse ever... Your communication lacks in all aspects for this business! Then you don't even reimburse for storage units not being used for a whole month, wtf no prorate?? Who does that??Mackenzie G.

Overall great experience! They didn't have the exact size truck I wanted it so they upgraded me free of charge! My only advice would be to fill the truck to the exact level at which you got it!! The customer who previously rented the truck I had left the gas gauge below full, this was noted at pick up. When I returned it full, as I was instructed, I got no money back for the extra gas. Not a huge deal, I love UHaul and this location was particularly impressive.VALARIE M.

This store and it's employees are great, but my experiences with truck share and mobile services were awful. They connected me to incorrect store from reservations and I took an Uber to the store I wanted, waited for 2 and a half hours for someone to come get me as when I went to complete mobile check in, the wrong store came up. No Ubers available that night after I got dropped off. I called and was put on hold for 48 minutes and told there would be a â€œcompensation letterâ€. I also requested recordings of my phone calls. I have received neither. I also ordered moving help but the movers canceled on me. The store manager helped me get a refund. There was nothing in the Uhaul receipt or order to contact them for a refund and the movers told me to go to my Uhaul receipt or order to do this. I was left with no way to contact them. I have rented twice since that night, using online reservation with mobile pick up, both times I was unable to use mobile pick up. I had to go inside and pay and sign at counter (those experiences were fine- just wanted to use mobile to avoid waiting in line). To improve, you can fix the reservation and mobile ordering/pick-up system, actually send recordings when requested like you say you will, and actually send compensation letters when you say you will. Also, include a link to the moving contractor's business so we can call them directly when we need refunds.Sheri J.

The only issue I had was your website not working to do my after hours return. It said my location wasn't sharing despite me turning on every single location sharing setting. Then when I tried calling to speak to a rep I sat on the phone for over 20 minutes without ever speaking to anyone. I was finally able to complete my return using my girlfriends phone. I'll never do an after hours drop off with you again cuz that was a nightmare and the wait time to talk to a rep was beyond absurd.JEREMY C.

I had a great experience with U-Haul Moving & Storage At San Tan Mountains. The facility is clean with comfortable temperatures. The staff is friendly. They have 24 access at an additional charge, if requested. I did not have 24 hour access and when I was moving my belongings into the unit it ran a little long and I ended up being locked out of the facility with a few large items still in the moving truck. I was able to get in touch with the General Manager, Kristara, at 10 PM on her personal # which is listed on multiple signs throughout the facility. While it was clear I woke her up she was more than accommodating and remotely granted me 24 access to the storage unit for the night so I could finish moving in. I was very impressed with the customer service of the entire staff and Kristara deserves extra recognition. I appreciate the service and would definitely recommend this facility to anyone in need of moving and storage services.Greg B. | Overall Experience

The associate who helped me was great. I have an issue with Uhaul as a company. I made a reservation and told they overbooked and it was happening everywhere. I lost my booking but the location I was sent to 2nd was unwilling to give me one of four units they ad because they had 30 reservations for them. It's crap customer service from corporate to allow this. I'm grateful to the associate and manager at this location for finding me something. Even though it was bigger and cost more. Reviews on Google are pretty spot on. Strorage is GREAT! U-haul moving support (trucks, trailers, etc) infrastructure is dated and broken affecting customer service and hasn't evolved in many decades. Extremely happy with storage so far.
