The truck broke down after just 3 hours into my 8 hour trip, it took 3 hours with speaking/dealing with the road side assistance before they told me a tow truck wouldn't be coming. A tow truck didn't arrive until noon, we broke down at 2:40 am. No one from the road side assistance could get me answer, no one would assist me in reimbursement, I was told after 3 days I would be contacted, it's been nearly a week since that time. No one form UHaul has mad any attempt to right this wrong. I spent $533, for this truck and it didn't work. I have attempted to contact the midland site where the truck was returned and no response, and the Corpus Christi location where I picked up the truck says their phones are disconnected. I've always used uhaul and recommended them for moves, after this I will be sure to steer everyone away, and I will be seeking any action needed to receive my full refund for the less than unacceptable service provided.Larry G.

I was given a truck with an issue with the gas. I've used trucks from uhaul many times and I had to put over $70 in gas just for 86 miles and I know this is not accurate. When I told the workers about the problem I was told that the truck gets put out of service for this issue many times, but the maintenance worker or the manager just puts the truck back in use without fixing anything.aniel G.

The Truck I rented should be decommissioned as it has engine warning lights and is an ugly beat up mess. Baked not good in rain and inside old & odors. Windshield cracked in multiple places. Upon pickup my girlfriend was told to â€œfill it up for returnâ€. When I filled up $100, and returned the truck, the attendant said I only needed to fill to 1/2 tank as that was what was in it at pickup. The extra 1/2 tank cost me $60 but location said no refunds for over fill of fuel. Since we were told to â€œfill the tankâ€ upon return by the attendant I request reimbursement immediately. The woman who helped me had zero sympathy for the fact that I booked a trailer pickup for that morning at a specific time/date/location... and it turned out they don't even carry trailers. How can I pick a trailer, a date, a time, a location, enter my payment info, upload my driver's license and then go to said location and they don't even carry trailers? STUPID, USER-UNFRIENDLY WEBSITE. Then when I'm directed to the store on S.P.I.D. the woman literally says "It's an imperfect world we live in." That's it. Zero care for the fact that I wasted an hour going to the location I specifically booked!David B.

Our move-out was a disaster. We were not given the dollies i rented and the truck not clean.(San Antonio Valley-Hi) Our movers in corpus were horrible. Left us before the job was completed, were standoffish, confrontational and lied about the condition of our storage unit. They didn't have masks on when they arrived-despite a staff member having covid. Two teenagers with no experience or people skills. Our house looks like a bomb went off. From the time we moved our trailer off the lot and turned in clicker I had to spend 2+ hours on the phone each week when I was sent a late notice bill wanting me to keep paying rent. The late fees and lien threats were obnoxious when each week I called I was told the account was closed and owed nothing to just get larger late fees the following week. Online was more helpful than in person experience. I saw online available units and had Walked around seeing the storage unit first hand and when I went to speak to the u-haul sales person I was told they were a full capacity. But over all I did walk there the first time just to be told that. Then I just went home booked it online the lady recognizing said we're at full capacity, so I then told the other sales person my recipe and informed them online has them available. Young kid who worked on Saturday was not at all friendly or even very competent in his duties. He spent too much time on the premises and not in the office helping customers and he told me that my storage unit was way in the back several buildings over and I walked there in the pouring rain while he drove the rental truck that I just rented so he would stay dry and he didn't even offer me a ride in the rain. My storage unit was actually 300 feet from the front desk and inside and dry. I had items in the Uhaul facility for about nine months. I got behind on my payments. I went to talk to the management. They gave me a payoff amount and said that when I pay this, my debt is paid. Months later, I received a notice saying that I still owed money. I went to talk to them, and the manager agreed that I was now in debt to Uhaul again. He said it was because I left a dresser in the unit. I told him that I did not have a vehicle large enough to remove the dresser. Also, when I paid my debt and was told I was clear, the manager at that time DID NOT say I had to remove every single item. I only left one item, the dresser. Now, the manager has put a lean against my name. This is wrong. I was told that I was in the clear.
