CARAN M.The gas gauge in my truck was not accurate. When I left Uhaul , the gauge read 1/2 full. I drove 77 miles and figured that the truck probably got 15 MPG. When I got to the gas station the gauge read 1/4 and I put in 6 gallons of gas which should have brought the gauge back to where I started. Instead, the gauge went up to almost 3/4 full ! I feel a bit cheated.

Georgia L.I am in the hospital with for 3 weeks and the manager called me after I called several times to update them that I was stuck there, he was very disrespectful and screaming curse words in my ear(I have the recording) but I was explained that I had no way to bring it if I was in the hospital and he says "BRING THE FUCKING TRUCK BACK YOU HAD IT FOR A MONTH ALREADY " Then he tells me he called the cops on me like it was my fault I knew I was going to get rushed to emergency room while I was moving.... I use uhaul all the time and They are usually pretty good but this location was by far the WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER..... and I will neverrrrrrrr use them again

james S.Pick up was pretty straight forward but the return? The process of pulling the truck into the “return equipment†line and “leave the keys in the truck†part seemed easy enough but getting a receipt took 3 days and more than 3 hours of collective phone time. My rental return was sitting as checked in but not closed out. I spoke to 4-5 people and everyone said the reason was something different with a customer service agent even calling the location manager and them saying they would process it momentarily..I waited two more days after this. The last agent I spoke to seemed to be able to just go in and close it himself. All in all, it took way more effort than it should have to get a receipt for a truck I returned and they just had sitting on their lot.

Stop making everything computer automated. Humans are better and employees are good. You're corporate people like every other big companies, complete jokes. Soon your company will suck even more and you will start to loose a ton of business if you continue down this path.

Chris S.U-haul smelled like machine oil and serious B/O. The website instructions were lackluster, but luckily an employee was there to show us how you had to man handle the lock to open it. Otherwise we would have been trapped, even after entering the correct code.
Andrew V.Did not have dollys when I got there. Charged me a fee for not folding 2 blankets and I thought I was doing them a favor dropping off early, apparently there's a “convenience fee†for that. A fee for everything. I think it's ridiculous I'm charged $45 for not folding a blanket. How many fees can you fit on an invoice? The guy who checked me out was new and didn't seem to be trained whatsoever. You guys can easily fix these minor issues with some training.

Florence C.U-haul needs better trucks, Doing a cross country Tow from Orlando to Tacoma, Was a bit scary! The stirring wheel, Tires was a bit shaky, I felt like the aliment was off on the vehicle. I kept on being pulled to another direction. The high beams was to low, windshield wipers broken, was not replaced before renting truck out. The battery went out, the radio would not turn off so the battery went out. I was not please about this rental. for the amount of money that was spent. When towing I would recommended using a 4X4 truck. using a U-haul was not helpful.

David B.This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with uhaul. I made my reservation a week in advance to make sure I had one for this day. An hour prior to me picking up the truck they texted me. I called and they informed me they didn't have one available. They then reserved 3 different times only to get more texts it wasn't again available. Finally one was found 20 mins away. I ended of spending far more due to how far this was away. I will not be using uhaul again in the future. Very disappointed! Times are tough enough without companies causing more hard ships. I was also promised discounted mileage that was not honored.

Andrew C.When I returned the truck the night before it was due, i tried to return it several times on the mobile link. It would not accept the pictures and then when it did, it would keep going back to the home page. Even when an account was created, it would not allow for me to submit the truck for return. I was then, charged $20 for the company to process the return themselves the next morning. The website needs to be fixed.

I reserved a storage on 10/26/21 to get there with all of my things on 12/01/21 to not having the reserved storage available and no other storage units available. The representative found me a storage unit after 30 minutes of searching that was smaller than the space I needed. All of my things didn't fit so I have things I have to find some other place to put them. The store unit looks horrible patched up and it doesn't even have a net to cover the top and protect my things. This was a inconvenience to me and my movers.

He was such a jerk about it and yep old me I can't rent here which would have left me stranded with a few belongings. So I made up a name and he said see that's no so hard is it? There's a lot more to it but I'm sure I'm running out of space. I know that we are in a world of being short staffed but respect and courtesy go both ways

I had a 1st floor storage Upper level its says not understanding that it meant 2nd floor UPSTAIRS. I had already had a rough day with the Uhaul drinking up so much gas for a 3 1/2 Hour drive spending $110 just in gas and receiving the truck on Empty and all the credit me for gas was $46 something wrong. But the Asst. Manager their was Awesome great customer service, and patience made me feel at easy after a hectic day. I would say he was the M. V. P for me yesterday. Gracias

Also the platform to load or upload is much higher the the UHaul, that difference in hight plus the plastic curtain in our way makes it difficult and dangerous to work.

I didn't have a name so the person checking me in said well that's fine we can just cancel this reservation then. I kept telling him I don't have anyone and he said come on everyone has someone. A mom a dad? My parents are deceased and I have no siblings. I do not have anyone that I can put down: your website needs to be clear that you need this info. I ended up making up a name and phone number just to get this guy to back off. It literally almost left me stranded with no where to store my stuff. Yep his was a very stressful and humiliating day xperiemce. No help at all from your manager just a give me a name or we will cancel this reservation.
Angel D. | First ImpressionsExcellent experience. The only odd comment would be do you have someone actually living in their storage unit? His unit was close to mine, and he was always plugging in his radio or generator into the hallway wall socket. He had chairs set up inside his unit so he could eat his dinner, and had female friends over who would bang on the outside door, calling his name, and he would open the door to let them in. They sat in his unit with him late at night. Every morning, his unit would be locked and he would be gone. But every evening, his bike would be in the hallway, along with chairs and boxes. His appliances were plugged in and he was eating dinner and listening to music most evenings we were there. Maybe he's the night manager? If he is, a sign posted on his unit or nearby would be helpful so we aren't worried what he is doing could be viewed as suspicious or illegal. It was just an odd experience to see a man literally every time we were there after hours living out of his unit.

I was storing a $10,000 snap-on toolbox among other tools and stuff that was in my garage before relocating...Due to covid 19, I became behind in payments. As we all know once payment is behind they cut your lock off and lock you out of your storage till you are up to date...My problem wasn't being locked out.....My problem started when I paid off my bill and decided to leave. When they cut my lock off, they went into the storage unit and cut across my toolbox with the cut off wheel they used to cut the lock. The other Dewalt stackable storage containers I had in there had signed of attempted forced entry.....never again will I use Uhaul storage.....customer support was great during the storage process and this situation is probably isolated to the individual location....but I refuse to ever go through that again. There are cheaper and more secure locations than Uhaul.

I did complain about one staff person not wearing his mask and whistling as he walked towards me but I returned weekly for 3 weeks and never saw him again so maybe he's gone. In the Covid era it's never to safe. He wasn't speaking to me so he had no reason to whistle. I spoke to him under my mask but he never responded so I don't know his motives. All other staff was friendly and courteous not only to me but to other customers so that's a good thing.

Then i was promised someone would be there at 630 AM the next morning so I could unload my truck. The lady told me sje couldn't find my reservation, so she took the time i could've been unloading the truck to find the reservation. She then tried to create a new one and told me I wasn't charged until i showed her my banking app that showed the charge. A guy from the back (thank god) came out and had to show her how to use the software to find my reservation. He found where i had been charged and everything. Next morning i get there thinking all i needed was the black card she gave me, come to find out there's a whole check in and check out process that she didn't even tell me about. On top of all of that i was charged for a lock for the door. Then I speak with a new lady who'l told me we had access to our until until 10pm and that there shouldn't have been an issue with us unloading the truck the night before when we got there before 7pm. Then I was told I couldn't leave the U-Haul truck I rented from another LOCAL U-Haul Location because i didn't get a certain type of U-Haul truck reservation and was told "i should've been told this when I made my reservation". There were so many service failures within my experience that Indint plan on keeping my stuff with you all ever again.
