Rented a dolly but the type we rented wasn't available so w either had to go workout or use an appliance one. The appliance one did not meet expectations because of the shorter base. Since it was either that or nothing, due to being out of kind reserved, I would have appreciated being charged for the one I rented instead of the increased cost for the appliance one. Also would be nice if uHaul gave military discounts. The associate allowed an individual to cut ahead of us in line. We were there first and walking around a bit while associate was taking care of one person and someone came in and went ahead of us. Proper thing to do was to fire associate to point out to the customer that cut in line that we were there first.Sherri A.

The guy who reveived me wasn't friendly and I asked him for a discount because I had to drive extra miles to that location when my reservation was for another location and U-Haul just changed it one day to another.JOHN P.
Location was great. The reservation process not so great. I specifically ask for the Florida mall location. When I arrived, I found out they reserved my pick up in Ocoee. Tank at the Florida mall location was great and found me another location close by that had a truck available. Then I received a call from the Ocoee location asking if I was still coming. So seems that your reservation process could use an upgrade. The folks at the Florida mall location as well as the Orange Ave location were great. I will hesitate to recommend Uhaul to a friendTom S.

Love the location and the staff at this location. 10/10 rating there. The truck I used seemed pretty beat up. I have driven a beat up car for years and have been renting Uhauls for about 20 years so I feel I have decent experience to compare. The truck I rented sounded like it had brake or transmission issues. There was a loud consistent sound when decelerating without using the brake. The sound was loud and consistent enough that if it were my personal vehicle, I would get it to a shop asap. May want to check that out. Final thing about the truck, the cab smelled like the last person that had it smoked weed in it for a month. Final thought - The App for self check-in and return sounds convenient but it isn't. Seems like the company is putting the work of their team onto the customer. If it was a quick deal, then great. This morning I had to restart the check in process twice for unknown reasons and then then was told that my booking was in review. I opted to go inside (rather than starting waiting for a text chat with an interface that was slow) and have an associate help me which completely negates the need for me doing anything on the app. I also skipped self return and just dealt with an associate. I would rather wait 15 mins in a line inside and get checked out quickly than spend 10 minutes checking out on the phone and doing the job Uhaul pay humans to do. Maybe offer a discount if a customer is doing the labor of checking themselves in and out? Just some thoughts. All this said, I do love the service and plan to continue using the company and this location for any future needs. Thanks,Joshua D.

I would recommend this location to a friend if: 1) I was asked for my email address when I checked in, but it was never loaded into my account. The nice woman who checked me out, added my correct email address so I could receive my receipt 2) I never received the text message so I could inspect the truck, until 20 minutes later, after I left the rental facility 3) I was told when I was going thru the rental process that the printer was out of ink, and the rental agreement would be emailed to me. Read #1 and see why there is a problem. The woman who checked me out said that the printers have had ink all day long.ashley W.

Was not happy that my truck pick up point was changed from Clermont where the move was occurring. It was moved to Orlando, much further away. If a customer rents a truck in Clermont and is given a Clermont pick up address, then the truck should be where it was stated, even if one was not available in Clermont, the truck should have been brought there. Dear U-Haul, I've always used this company to move, thanks to my son who use you for years now and recommended you all. We've moved from time to time and always made you our choice to do so but this is the first time I've used your -U-Box service and I must say it was an awesome experience. From day one the communication with the staff was incredible and my box got here much earlier than promised which blew my mind. However, my most memorable moment was with Kate who delivered and picked up my box. From her first call to her getting here on this 52' truck and the manner in which she got on the forklift and worked it like it was a toy was AMAZING!!! She was professional, but yet so warm and friendlyâ€¦ she definitely delivered the best service from my entire experience using the U-box â€¦ Honestly, she made me want to work for the companyâ€¦ hahah. I had to make about 10 calls and in each call my order could not be found because the system tied my current order to an old order (or the rep) each time i call no order for me. I could not update or make changes or even make payments. When I called spoke with a rep they promise a call back no call back. No i would not use this service again.steve D.
The facility has no ramp access and requires going up stairs into a tight 90 degree or use the rolling doors. I opted to reserve a 15' truck and consider it a "moving in" cost because this location has treated me so well in the past. The intention was to load the truck, move everything into the loading area at the facility, then return the truck immediately. Living nearby the rental would be for less than an hour. Upon getting my return call to arrange the rental the woman on the phone was so condescending and disrespectful I hung up and canceled two truck reservations immediately then moved out of my storage unit. I have no interest in paying money to be talked to like that. This was an emergent event, unplanned and needed to be accomplished in two days. The U Haul team made it happen and were so very helpful, kind, friendly and courteous. My reserved truck was not available when I arrived. It was also not available anywhere else in Orlando. I was told they wouldn't honor the $50 guarantee because it was booked within 24 hours. Too many stipulations make me feel played, like your guarantee is simply a sham marketing gimmick. I was eventually given a truck when someone returned one after 45 minutes of me waiting. The phone system is not set up to do anything except for 3 picks. Selecting 0 to speak to an agent just tells you to pick a valid option. That then results in transfers to get you to someone who can assist. Which generally involves multiples transfers to speak to the correct agent.Cheryl W.
The truck I rented was dirty inside the cab. the storage area was clean. The heater did not work very well. I have nothing good to say about the staff, but nothing bad either. They did their job but I certainly did not feel like they were appreciative that I chose to spend my money there.Kevin E.
On the origin end it was good. The deliveries of uboxes at destination was good. Pickup after delivery on the last ubox was messed up. It was delivered Friday. I told the driver then pickup should be Monday. I was sent a message AFTER HOURS to confirm pickup that i needed to call and i could call after 7 am. SERIOUSLY! call 7 am for same day pickup?...that wouldnt have happened. The vm also said i could call or text. So i texted. Nothing. When i talked to someone the next day i was told vm is not received so they didnt get it but they would try for Tue and if not it would definitely be Wed. At the end of Wed i called because it wasnt picked up and i was told they couldnt pick up until Sat!!!!! Not happy!!!!!!Linda B.
The uhaul box wasn't placed correctly on the trailer. The door was facing the truck. Which made it extremely difficult to unload the box. There was also a lock placed on the box by uhaul, but I never received a key. That was another thing that made unloading the box difficult. Everything was perfect with the rental agreement, until I went to fill the gas back up to the contracted amount to receive the $14.00 reimbursement. When I filled up the I turned the truck on and off multiple times even placed it in gear, but the gas gauge wouldn't move to let me know how much gas I pumped into the tank. After pumping $60.01 in the tank the gauge still didn't move at a gas pump less than 12miles from your shop. As a 501 c3 using your Uhaul to distribute free Thanksgiving meals to families in need for free, that extra cost is definitely a necessary hardship for us. I paid movers by the hour and when we arrived at the facility an employee had Parkes in the loading dock!!!! She worked in the "call center" and couldn't move her car right then, so we would have to wIt. After going into the office 3 times, finally someone had to get her keys and move it. It took at least 20 minutes just to have access to unload our truck. When I asked WHY would an employee park where trucks must unload, he said there were no other parking places! Around the other side of the building there were numerous parking places. My advice to your company - tell your employees to park in areas where customers do not need access to park to go inside to do business (I also had trouble parking and purchasing moving supplies the week before). It seems your employees don't want to WALK around the building. How rude and lazy. This 20 minute wait cost me $80. I want that $ refunded.marla m. | First Impressions

They didn't prepare me for navigating the facility. They sat in their chairs and gave me no instruction. They didn't get me the supplies I rented online, they didn't give me the unit number to my storage room (which they didn't even read my reservation to see that I had one). They didn't tell me that that wouldn't be providing a lock, so my storage unit was unlocked and I had to leave to buy a lock in the middle of the night after unpacking a whole apartment's worth of things. They provided no helpful service. They gave no instruction on how to use the key to access the facility: it requires a swipe at the main entrance door before it can be used to swipe at the door access to the storage units. The representative Shaquille was great however the experience with the storage rental was horrible. I reserved a storage on 10/26/21 to get there with all of my things on 12/01/21 to not having the reserved storage available and no other storage units available. The representative found me a storage unit after 30 minutes of searching that was smaller than the space I needed. All of my things didn't fit so I have things I have to find some other place to put them. Upon checking in a few months ago the person who stated he was a manager was so rude to me. I had already filled out everything online and when I Arrived was told I need the name of another person. I don't have one. I'm 100% solo in my life. He was such a jerk about it and yep old me I can't rent here which would have left me stranded with a few belongings. So I made up a name and he said see that's no so hard is it? There's a lot more to it but I'm sure I'm running out of space. To be honest i was a lil upset because online the way you guys label your storage. I had a 1st floor storage Upper level its says not understanding that it meant 2nd floor UPSTAIRS. I had already had a rough day with the Uhaul drinking up so much gas for a 3 1/2 Hour drive spending $110 just in gas and receiving the truck on Empty and all the credit me for gas was $46 something wrong. But the Asst. Manager their was Awesome great customer service, and patience made me feel at easy after a hectic day. I would say he was the M. V. P for me yesterday. The plastic curtain where we load or upload merchandise is very annoying, there should be a something to hold it open when we are working. I reserved a unit online. When I arrived I was informed I needed to add additional names and phone numbers to my reservation per unsullied policy. I didn't have a name so the person checking me in said well that's fine we can just cancel this reservation then. I kept telling him I don't have anyone and he said come on everyone has someone. A mom a dad? My parents are deceased and I have no siblings. I do not have anyone that I can put down: your website needs to be clear that you need this info. I ended up making up a name and phone number just to get this guy to back off. It literally almost left me stranded with no where to store my stuff. Yep his was a very stressful and humiliating day xperiemce. No help at all from your manager just a give me a name or we will cancel this reservation.Angel D. | First Impressions

Excellent experience. The only odd comment would be do you have someone actually living in their storage unit? His unit was close to mine, and he was always plugging in his radio or generator into the hallway wall socket. He had chairs set up inside his unit so he could eat his dinner, and had female friends over who would bang on the outside door, calling his name, and he would open the door to let them in. They sat in his unit with him late at night. Every morning, his unit would be locked and he would be gone. But every evening, his bike would be in the hallway, along with chairs and boxes. His appliances were plugged in and he was eating dinner and listening to music most evenings we were there. Maybe he's the night manager? If he is, a sign posted on his unit or nearby would be helpful so we aren't worried what he is doing could be viewed as suspicious or illegal. It was just an odd experience to see a man literally every time we were there after hours living out of his unit.Diana D. | Overall Experience

Never again....damage goods within one of my storages. I was storing a $10,000 snap-on toolbox among other tools and stuff that was in my garage before relocating...Due to covid 19, I became behind in payments. As we all know once payment is behind they cut your lock off and lock you out of your storage till you are up to date...My problem wasn't being locked out.....My problem started when I paid off my bill and decided to leave. When they cut my lock off, they went into the storage unit and cut across my toolbox with the cut off wheel they used to cut the lock. The other Dewalt stackable storage containers I had in there had signed of attempted forced entry.....never again will I use Uhaul storage.....customer support was great during the storage process and this situation is probably isolated to the individual location....but I refuse to ever go through that again.
