The young gentleman assisting behind the desk was dirty, hat on backwards, and would not get up from his office chair to assist as he continuously rolled around behind the desk on his office chair. In addition he did not have his pants pulled up all the way as his backside (butt crack) was clearly visible as he turned around in his chair. He complained about how busy his day was and how he hoped to get through the day. He did not check the trailer with me and as I went a few blocks from the pickup spot, I noticed how loud the trailer connection was and the appearance of the hitch bouncing. I pulled into a parking lot and needed to tighten the connection as he did not do so when he connected the trailer to my vehicle. After I tightened the hitch the bouncing and extreme noise was eliminated. Very disappointed in his level of service and commitment.David L.

1)They put a dolly in the truck and I didn't know it was there until I got home with truck. 2)Apparently they miswrote the mileage on departure from Springfield, Missouri causing me to be over by 145 miles once I arrived in Maryville, Illinois. NO WAY I drove 418 miles from Springfield, Missouri to Maryville, Illinois. It is impossible. 3)I returned a dolly that I didn't even know was in the truck , didn't need it, but of course returned it. This 20 ft box van front end was worn out and a death trap to drive. Just south of Big Cabin on Hwy 69 at highway speed I hit some bumps in the road and had severe wheel shake and it didn't stop until I reached about 20 mph on the shoulder of the road. The rest of my trip to Anna Texas was not fun to complete. I reported this to the McKinney location and refused to leave this truck until I was assured this truck would be taken out of service. I'm not a great driver but a less experienced driver might have panicked and possibly died. I am very disappointed better preventive maintenance is not preformed. I wish I had inspected this van better.Loren G.

The return process of hand over a key and leave should be more like when you return a car: a quick go over it together and knowledge of your final bill at that time. I never did get a receipt although based on my credit card charges I believe everything is accurate and in order so I'm not super concerned.Raymond W.

For storage unit we reserved a 10x20 and got our full truck down there to find out they only had a 10x10 and only one of those. We had to stack our stuff 6 feet high in unit I hope boxes on bottom dont get damaged!Shane N.

Booked online. Waited 30 min in line. Saw others who checked in online waiting in line with me. Although a line had formed staff randomly selected customers. There was no order. Customers waiting were becoming agitated because of this. My helper was polite yet needed alot of guidance. Check in equipment failed to work properly. Took an additional 20 min to locate truck. In the end truck was clean but had no power struggled to excellarate. I rented an appliance dolly and got a utility dolly which I could not use. Upon returning the truck I was told they ran out so I asked to be credited. Both the staff member and the manager said I was credited even though the bill still reflected the charge. I ask again and was told by the manager that it was removed and printed a new receipt. I reviewed it. Charge was still there. I just left because I got no help. Be warned. I called in advance for a bottom floor storage unit for a one bedroom house and when I got there I got a second floor unit the size of a closet that was the first time I had problems with U-Haul but they fix it it was a mess because they have no elevator to get to the second floor only stairs and I'm a 53-year-old lady. They'll be upset about this score, when in reality and based upon certain events that took place that day, a more appropriate rating would have been POOR. We are a military family. My husband walked in and asked to be serviced, but the young lady flat out said "no". Then they asked if he had a reservation and because we did, they "made an exception". After being advised by the staff that the unit I was looking at would accommodate a 1200 sq ft apt I secure the unit, upon seeing the unit and finding it was no more than a broom closet that was 10' tall. When I went back to the representative for assistance he called the store manager who refused to assist, snapped at me to get off the property that he can refuse service and told me if I did not leave he would call the police for trespassing, when I requested a refund I was told to call corporate that he wasn't refunding me until they made him do so. Upon contacting corporate I was issued refund and never returned but have received emails and a phone call telling me my storage payment is due. This location does not treat people well nor do they apparently manage their units appropriately as they did not document that the unit I secured was not used and the contract voided.PATRICIA K. | Overall Experience

He threatened to call the police because I asked why they wouldn't honor a valid reservation on an appropriate sized storage unit. Was a great experience, other then the fact my wife and I fealt we were being stalked and watched like we where going to steal something. While moving in two girls in uhaul uniforms where constantly around us. Every time we turned around they where there. I mentioned this to rep who did the turn in on my truck. I was told they where the cleaning staff. He explained what thier jobs are. Honestly, my wife and I didn't appreciate the feeling we where getting. We suffered a loss at our last storage unit. Someone broke in and cleaned it out. It all started by my wife being watched by a couple of people while she was unloading our truck. So we are a bit touchy and suspicious. I went with the medium size indoor storage unit. It was the biggest size but after I filled it I didn't have room for some stuff so I just gave that stuff away since I couldn't keep it.
