I was very disappointed in my experience with this move. I was told a 15 ft truck was not available at my preferred location on S Campbell. I was instead instructed to show up to Rikers Flee Market where they had a 15 ft truck. This was slightly inconvenient, but I understood. However, upon arriving to Rikers I was told no 15 ft truck was present but that Uhaul had instructed Rikers I would be fine with a 20 ft for the same price. No one contacted me to notify me of this and I was not comfortable driving a bigger truck. After explaining this, I was instructed to head over to S Campbell where they now had a 15 ft truck. Upon explaining my frustration to an employee at S Campbell he proceeded to say it was not his fault. I understand that it likely was not his fault, but he didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. It was frustrating to be driving all over town the day before I move. If I am not compensated in some way, I will never be using UHaul again. This is unacceptable customer service.

The salesman was far less helpful he was in a hurry to get me hook up and out of the store , he forgot to twist the lock down on the hauler I didn’t not notice until we attempted to load the vehicle we were transporting could have been very bad situation if it had come off while I was empty going to the site to load the load ........yes it’s driver responsibility but I trusted that someone who works around these units all day would completely knowledgeable in his job .

Extremely understaffed, double billed me and now I can’t get anyone to speak to me. Emailed immediately after receiving my final bill, no response. Called and talked to customer service, was told the manager would call before the end of the day, didn’t happen. Called the store and was told there was a 15-20 wait time, 25 minutes later, still on hold. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Delivery and pickup of u-box at origination was excellent, very professional. At the destination end, the u-box was in terrible shape. Al of the door hasp (including the one with the lock) screws were pulled out; I'm not sure how it managed to stay closed.

Best location to find car trailers and parts to hookup. Just make sure you double check everything before you leave

After driving an hour for my 2:00 appointment, I was told my parts were not in yet. Never a call to let me know. I had a trailer to pick up at 4:30 that day. As it turned out, the parts came in at noon and were not logged in yet. Could have been a disaster for me though. The wiring was installed inside the hatchback underneath the spare tire compartment of my Subaru Outback rather than mounted on the frame outside. A bit of an inconvenience. It all worked out ok for the most part but was not happy with the customer service or installation.

I reserved on the website and there was not a way to change how long I needed the truck. After I had reserved it, it told me I only had it for four hours. As a result, I went in and talked to the employee and he needed the truck back in 4 hours so upgraded me to the next size at no charge which was wonderful customer service but it could have been avoided if there was a place to tell you long the customer needs the truck.

I originally ordered from the north location due to location convenience. My reservation was switched to a South location. When I arrived to pick up trailer, it was the wrong trailer and was told I would have to go to Nixa to pick one up. That was absolutely unacceptable and not possible. I live north of Willard. I was already late to my destination where I needed the trailer due to the issues with location change and wrong trailer. Fortunately, a trailer like I reserved happened to pull in for return. I was then told I HAD to take trailer back to South location, which is almost an hour drive for me, which is why I chose the north location. With both locations being Uhaul stores, it should have been handled where an employee should have taken the correct trailer to my chosen location and I should have been able to drop off at chosen location. I will not recommend Uhaul to anyone else. That was nothing but frustration from Thursday to Saturday!

How do I rate this? The location I was supposed to return to doesn’t even exist. I called the number which was disconnected. I looked at mapquest and it shows 5 locations in Republic Mo. of course these didn’t exist either. Called the store in Springfield and they verified the republic stores did not exist. So kudos to the store and a big fat zero rating for uhaul itself.

I would like to comment on the excellent service Kenneth in Springfield, Missouri Campbell Avenue location gave us when we rented our truck and trailer to move 1400 miles across the country. Moving is a stressful time for anyone. Kenneth was calm at all times. He answered all of our questions and assured us that U Haul would be there for us from the beginning to the end. We also had great service at our drop off location in Tuscon at the Golf Links location. We had an awful experience from a certain company that rhymes with Shirts...so we are grateful for our positive experience with this company.

Dont make more reservations then you have trucks for my reservation was bumped at one location on a holiday weekend the day before my move was asked to go 22 out of way from my perferrd pick up this is piss poor customer service in my opinion then when i droped the drop back up the employee was rude i have been a long time customer of u haul dont think i will be back

The hitch pin that was installed is a defective product, it fell apart when installed , the staff reassembled the spring loaded pin and reinstalled the roll pin that fell out . Upon our drive to return the trailer , the entire hitch pin fell out and the trailer hit the back of the car causing damage to the car. Filed an insurance claim with my carrier . Please call me if you like , otherwise your service and staff were great ??

Check in should be more streamlined for people who have already checked in online. I still spent 15-20 minutes waiting because people ahead of me had not checked in online..

I called ahead twice to let uhaul know I was coming in to pick up my box and they still did not have it ready for me. They made me wait 45 minutes for them to get my box down. They also made me wait to be served when I first came to uhaul to be served when I was the only customer in the store. This uhaul location seems completely unorganized and there does not seem to be any accountability over who was supposed to do what.

Had a equipment failure, truck wouldn’t start after having unloaded it. Roadside assistance was great got someone out to look at it which took about 1.5 hours finally got it started and made it to drop off location right at closing. The young man who not only helped us this morning also was still there and helped us tonight, he was the saving grace of this experience. When he heard what all we had went through and the miss billing on my credit card he promptly refunded my entire rental and apologized profusely!! Very sincere young man !

Did not have the van I rented. Did provide a bigger vehicle at no additional cost, but it was more tedious to drive, and I would have preferred the van I reserved. Again, under the circumstances, they were very professional in providing the alternative vehicle, just frustrating not getting what I reserved.

Air conditioner did not work and truck blew hot air through the vents. I found A note in the center that said air conditioner not working. So why was it not fixed before they rented to me? Representative was rude when I questioned him about the previous damage to the truck before I took procession of the vehicle. Employees use there personal cell phones to take pictures of customers drivers license and I believe this can create a security and privacy concern.

Returning customer and this was the poorest service experience. Originally scheduled for 8am, but when I went to pick up the truck the reservation had changed to 8pm. It took 2 hours to resolve this issue, and put me 2 hours behind schedule. Also, staff had difficulties with the computer system and the refunding process. Also, the truck was sent out with 1/4 tank of gas and returned with 3/4 tank of gas. The u-haul representative informed me that u-haul will charged for under-filling gas but will not reimburse for overfilling. This is unacceptable. I would like to be reimbursed for the 1/2 tank of extra gas. I look forward to hearing from a u-haul rep. Thank you, Jennifer Chamberlain

The truck was pretty awful. A/C didn't' work well and the steering was dangerous. Any lane changes requires over correction due to sloppy controls through the steering wheel. It was very loose and very dangerous!!!

I was disconcerted by the text I received about damage to the truck after picking it up. It seems to me that a better procedure would be to do a walk-around when picking the truck up to check for damage and make sure U-Haul and the customer in agreement. I'm moving, so what if my internet was disconnected? What if I don't have a smart phone (which I don't)? In the end, it was not a problem, but it seems like an odd way of dealing with this issue.

The in person service was great- the after hour service was terrible. The locations service wouldn’t read on one phone and on the other It wouldn’t let me close out the reservation. The location called me an hour after I was supposed to drop it off and didn’t realize it had been there 12 hours prior.

My guess is that an employee stole some items out of the truck that I accidentally left in it. I called very soon after I brought the truck back and was met with odd arrogance, but was told someone would look and call me back. They didn't. I have called back multiple times and nothing has been found. Sounds like a theft issue to me. We use your store for business and spend thousands of dollars there every year. This is a sad way to lose business but if I don't get my stuff back, we will never do business there again. The trucks are never up to par anyway, but we have just always used you guys. Not anymore. Enjoy those headphones. You paid a ton of money for them!

I made a reservation for the truck 6 weeks before I needed it to be absolutely sure one would be available for my company’s semi annual tent sale. I actual walked into the uhaul so I would be sure the reservation was done. When I got there to pick up my truck there was no reservation and there were no available trucks in the size I needed. Not acceptable at all. I needed to haul 300 + totes plus clothing racks that day. Needless to say I was not happy. They had a standby truck I was able to use but I wasn’t offered a discount and they said the gas tank was at half when it was at one quarter so I spent $20 to fill it to half when I only went 7 miles. I getting angry all over again just writing about it I had trouble with my previous experience there as well. I do a lot of business with uhaul but I may have to look elsewhere in the future

I made a reservation for a utility trailer by phone with this location. When I picked it up, the gentleman who assisted me pulled up my reservation, asked if I had a hitch with a two inch ball and I said yes. He then said, come with me and we will get you set up. We went to where the trailer was, he hitched up the trailer to my car and said I was good to go. I was getting into my car and noticed that he was behind the trailer and I heard him say something so I got out and asked him what and he said, oh you are good to go and that he was radioing in information on the trailer. So I left. When I arrived to drop the trailer back off, I was told a higher total than I was expecting and the young man assisting me told me the there was a charge for some sort of insurance. I told him I did not ask for the insurance he asked to see my paperwork. I told him I did not get any paperwork. We went inside and he spoke to who I believe was in charge at the time, I did not get a name. I told him what all happened when I picked up the trailer. He looked into the computer and read off a note that said I had driven off without getting paperwork done. I again explained that I was told twice that I was good to go and that there was no communication that I needed to go back inside. He then proceeded to say, "Well, I wasn't here, so I do not know what was said". That comment, which was made twice, made me feel like he was calling me a liar and I do not appreciate it at all. Why would I lie about something like that? And why, since they had my phone number, did they not call me and explain that I needed to come back and fill out paperwork? For this reason, I will not be coming back to U-haul with my moving needs.

Derrick was amazing. He went above and beyond and provided the kind of customer service that has become the exception and not the rule. drop off was very disappointing. No one acknowledged my presence, nor bothered to help with the drop off. I am clearly handicapped. And even afterward when I had pointed out where it was parked because someone finally asked. The two fellows who went and looked just walked by me without looking up from their phones. I had to follow them inside, catch up and ask...they just said oh, I thought you left...???? I will not use this location ever again

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Been trying for 3 weeks to resolve my issue and still haven't even been able to speak with a manager at the location as they NEVER answer the phone, the overflow place does and they never call me back after having a message sent over. Been on hold for 15 minutes waiting to speak with a manager and still not getting anything. I have a receipt for the credit that I was supposed to receive that I never have. I also have random charges on my card 4 days after I returned the equipment that I did not authorize. Absolutely terrible experience will never use them again or recommend to anyone! All you had to do was answer the phone or call me back..

Very well run process from beginning to end. Staff was helpful and friendly as well as flexible with timing changes. Cost was very fair. I would highly recommend U-Haul to friends and family in the moving mode.

Staff is fantastic, extremely helpful, I have rented at different locations in my city before but after I used this location I stopped even considering the others. This locating is large so they have the resources to take care of whatever you need and the guys that work here are always friendly and efficient with whatever you need. Have rented here several time and certainly will be back

Everything was excellent until the end when I closed out the contract. The rep was beyond impossible, I had to ask for someone else. I'm afraid to do this again because of the cloudy nature in which I left.

The truck which we rented I believe it was labeled DC 3539T (Arizona license plates I believe) had non functioning lights. The headlights and internal lights would not come on when turned on. Also the truck would rev hard when braking. May have transmission issues that should be looked into. Service however was acceptable.

I thought I might need the truck a little longer than anticipated. I told the gentleman I thought I could have it back by seven. I called to ask if that would be a problem and not realizing I had been transferred to the call center I asked sheka the question. She said no problem but failed to inform me that she would be charging me another rental fee. I was under the assumption that you rent the truck for 19.99 a day and didn't know I would be charged extra and no one would help me resolve the situation. Very angered by this.

Everything I moved out had mold and mildew on it. I didn't see an obvious leak but it was damp enough to grow the mildew. The staff was not particularly helpful but the manager was very helpful.
