Returning the truck was a seriously terrible process. It says to park the car, we parked, then had to walk to the front of the store to scan a code, then walk back to the truck to take pictures, then walk back to the store front again to drop off the key. It should tell you to park, take pictures, then scan the code and drop off key. It was really tedious. Other then that it was fine.Michelle E.

When I dropped off the vehicle I was told to take the truck to a gas station and add gas. I did not want to take it because the check engine light was on, it had a misfire and the driver side windshield wiper was not working. It's snowed from Raton to Colorado Springs and because of the wiper we had to drive 10-15 mph. The GM here in Springs was very rude and said he would pass the problem to the location that rented the vehicle out. That it was not his problem they gave me that vehicle. Insisted he did his job correctly and that was that. He was very rude on a VM he left and adamant that he would pass the buck to the other entity.Efren G.

Then at pickup, even though arranged online for mobile pickup, it took an hour to have a 29yr old driver's identity verified to allow truck pickup, setting us behind from the start. I found this U-Haul Moving & Storage facility at Tiffany Square here in Colorado Springs not only clean and easily accessible (several dedicated loading/unloading parking spaces at the entrance) but GM Jason Carr to be very friendly & helpful -- as was Don, one of the other U-Haul employees who helped me on move-in day. Further, the rental rates are surprisingly reasonable, especially considering this is a climate-controlled facility in fairly expensive Colorado Springs. We requested furniture blankets and they were not given to us. We had to travel back while our movers waited for the moving blankets. We had to travel a 1000 miles in a U-Haul that had mechanical issues. We contacted roadside assistance who advised it would be a 2hr wait. We decided to proceed to our destination but were not able to go above 60mph due to shaking and pulling. This trip should have taken 12hrs but took 17hrs.Jamine M.

When we received the truck the check engine light came on and we were told that the truck just needs oil and not to worry. During the short drive between Colorado Springs and Denver several other notice lights came on in the truck with the truck finally having issues and not starting up immediately when we were getting ready to take it to drop off. We decided not to even stop the truck to fill up with gas as we were very worried about it breaking down and being stuck with it so we just went to immediate drop off.James B.

This is no reflection on the U-Haul office at 455 E. Woodmen Colorado Springs but on the webpage. I scheduled the pick up of 17Ft truck at 3250 Nevada Ave. Colorado Springs, CO scheduled for pick on Saturday Sept 26th at 9:00. Nobody was there , Holly showed up at 9:35 and told me no truck there sent me to 455 E Woodman. What a mess!! I was not impressed.Daniel S.

Be sure to have them fill the tank before you leave, that's the only way you'll wake away without being ripped off for any gas you used. I know you can't expect the best gas mileage but I would be willing to bet that these trucks get better than 4 mpg. Rates apparently change so don't listen to the employee when they tell you it's a certain price because that rate changes after you leave. And you also get taxed twice after they hike the rate of gas 2x what you would pay. Never again will I use uhual.Wesley T.

A above average or excellent score would have been chosen however, upon return, parked in designated area for returns, waited several minutes but had to go in to get someone to unhook the rental trailer. He person had very little mechanical skills to figure out how to unhook the safety chains. After 30 minutes of trying, my wife went in to get the manager to come out to assist, he then got a cutting tool to physically cut the chain links to remove the safety chain.thomas K.

A cover plate inside the 20-foot truck we rented was not fully secured (it appeared some screws were missing), and when a helper stepped on it, it flipped open and his foot went through the opening, causing a slight ankle injury.
