Uhaul computer systems need to talk to each other. Very frustrated on our uhaul storage container move on one of our storage units to Fla. Dates were incorrect at first and we were led into a spiderweb of phone numbers to call. Most said " I can't see that on my computer. You have to call…" frustrating but it worked out in the end. Far from seamless though. Address was not updated at Woodman properly (even though we had it shipped there). We had updated at the counter, but had to call again at a later time because they requested an updated address (?!)

Kira T.Our guy Devin was absolutely the best. Knowledgeable, professional, informative, and helpful. I was moving with a 10 foot van, and he went through the list of features to include the lack of ramp, which is exactly what I needed. So I avoided a 2 hour turn around by upgrading to the 15 foot model. It was a simple upsell just based on fact gathering and info presentation which he did with ease. It's a reassuring kind of professionalism. I know sales guys at renewal by anderson who make a million dollars a year that could have learned something from that simple exchange. I strongly recommend you consider him for a higher level sales role at the corporate level. He knows your product inside at out casually at this location. I imagine he'd do the same higher up. Top notch customer service and sales reps are rare and if you don't capitalize on your people, someone else will. I run a marketing and sales company called High IQ in the real estate space. And Im strongly considering hiring him for OUR next corporate sales team. But out of respect, I thought both he and your business deserve the recommendation. Do not make the mistake of overlooking this recommendation if you want to grow your brand consistency and sales efficiency by promoting internal experts to higher levels.

Pamela K.I got charged full price for my rental when they made me bring it back in half of my time of use. I tried to extend my rental they denied me they made me unload my stuff off the truck into a storage unit. Now I have to rent another truck on Tuesday so I can move in to my apartment. They told me that they were not going to charge me for the whole thing but they did anyway. I got charged for my milage when I was told I had to go to another site to unload which put me over my milage limit. I feel I was taken advantage of. They also said the reason I couldn't keep the truck is because it was going back out the next morning at 730 Saturday. It was still at the U-Haul place at noon . As far as I know it never went out. The only thing that kept me from having to leave my stuff on the street is I qualified for a free storage unit. I have a 4 month old girl and my wife. We were unloading our stuff at 930 at night into the unit. Now we have to do this al over again. This U-Haul site is off of academy in Colorado springs. When I went to try to extend my rental a lady that I talked to in person said I could bring my rental in si they could see it was in one piece then I could do another contract with them so I could keep it until Tuesday when my apartment would be open. She told me not to worry about anything that she would take care of it for me then 30 minutes later she called me and said that they couldn't do that for me and I needed to have the truck back that night because it was going back out the next day at 730. I explained that I have All of our stuff in it and I didn't have any place to go with it. She told I need to get another truck from another site the next day at 730 at the woodman site and unload my stuff on to the other truck and have the first truck back at it's site at 730. I asked her how was I supposed to rent another truck unload my stuff on to that truck and have the first truck back at it's site at 730. I said I couldn't not drive 2 vehicles at once an that it is impossible to rent a truck unload my stuff and have the first truck back all at the same time. She is the one who told me that she would take care of this deal so I could keep the truck for as long as I needed it for. I was willing to pay for the whole weekend that is when she said they would just do another contract. She is the one who stepped out of her role an tried to play boss an said things that wasn't even possible to do. I would like to get a refund for all of it because people played told me things that they were able to do. All in all I got charged full price for only using the truck for half the time and got charged for all the millage when I had to go further out of the way to get another truck. I got a big screwing on this. Someone needs to do the rite thing and get my money back. Thank you from a person that will never use your service again and I will let people know that the service there is a rip off. I did try to resolve this situation with the site and got no where. All they wanted was the truck back an didn't care what happened to our stuff or anything that we needed.. I am not a rich person and I don't appreciate that your employee didn't consider that our 4 month old girl had to be out in the night unloading our stuff into storage. Do you have kids would you want your kids out in the middle of the night unloading your stuff. Probably not.
DONALD H. | First ImpressionsI was scheduled to pick up my rental at 9 am. I was informed when I showed up that there was an IT issue that prevented any sales to be accomplished. I should have been notified. Furthermore, the individual that was behind the counter did not seem to understand or provide any options. I had to contact the rental center constantly to see if the rental was available. When I contacted the rental center at around 2 pm they informed me that they were trying to notify me that my rental was ready. I did not see a call from the rental center. When I showed up a gentleman was behind the counter but was not concerned with helping me, instead he said that anotyher individual would help me. Just seemed rather poor customer service. However, the young lady who finally did help me genuinely was caring about my concern. Delaying my pick up by over 5 hours put me behind my schedule and no offer was made to correct the situation. Even a small discount to show appreciation would have been nice to show that they cared for the customer.

While we were travelling as our boxes moved, they answered all of our questions and allayed our concerns. I could not ask for better customer support. Tammy in fort Myers was an exceptional person to work with (she is careful of flowers, checks clearance at the garage, grass, etc., and she can drive like the fork lift like no one else (awesome!). I apologize for the issues gaining entry into our community -- she is patient for sure. Only 'bad' comment is the apparently slow computers whenever we called the central scheduling number. We were told two different delivery dates and often were told it was the computers that were slow and they couldn't see our boxes. Would I recommend U-Box Containers, yes.
Front entrance seems out of the way, not up front and center like I'm used to seeing. Personnel were great and help me check in.

Gregory H.The tire exploded on the highway at 65 mph, which almost caused an accident. The truck was fully loaded at the time. Was on the side of i25 in a dangerous situation for 2.5 hours waiting for the nice man to come to change the tire on the side of the road. The date code on the exploded tire said it was 5 years old. This was a Dangerous situation that was totally avoidable if proper maintenance was performed on the truck. Other than the tire, the alignment was off, at highway speeds, it pulled to the left and there is lots of play in the steering. Not good. Also, it has a shake at highway speed that made it scary to drive. I drove this truck 700 miles and felt like it was a death trap. In the past, the UHAUL trucks I have rented were solid and very smooth at highway speed. This one however was the opposite. it was downright scary at highway speeds. They need to maintain that specific truck in a more professional manner. Customer service was great though, the employees are very nice and professional.

billy S.Assistant Mgr. Devon is legit. Eric has no concept of customer service when your literally standing right before him. He has a hot temper, throws down equipment by " Truck return" stood there for 35 minutes and he never took care of me or the truck. Most importantly why I won't reference this uhaul storage facility is because they Violated me and the ADA. Oh and the " Mover assist help" that's a complete joke, their 800# no one answers. Automated do everything online. But if someone cannot do that your screwed. They stole my money, no one contacted me about job completed or not, no one came to help me. So, yes, this is a highly poorly run facility and uhaul feature.

Nathan C.The mileage on my uhaul was like 1500 miles off and then when I submitted the photo to start it didn't register, I guess. So when I returned the uhaul and I inputted the number of miles it told me it was under where I started. I had to make up a number of miles for the submission.
Alec G.The check-in process is very invasive as a picture of the renter is required as well as a secondary phone and a call with an answer to that secondary phone. Home numbers are not accepted although they provide a better geo-location. I would welcome a more in-depth registration process once and not every time I rent a trailer for in-town use.

Andrea T.I found another location 3130 N Nevada that was amazingly helpful. The woodmen location personnel seemed quite bothered about asking for assistance with a low profile vehicle. I would still be struggling if the other location in Nevada didn't help me so very much! They are great there!

So we called the number listed on the sign, but the gm resigned that day and didn't have anyone else for me to call. So we had to call the main hotline, and that took another 20 minutes. Luckily they could get us in something else. It took about a little shy of an hour from when we got there till the we were able to get a vehicle
William P.I mainly dealt with Chris, good guy. He got me into a unit close to the front as I'm a disabled veteran. The staff was all really nice and helpful. The storage facility was clean, well maintained and climate controlled. Highly recommend this place for your storage needs... They also have trucks... I didn't use one but if it's from this staff, I'm sure they would be on point. Thanks again Chris and staff. I would use them again.

Martin R.If you're going to offer “mobile check-inâ€, then fix your mobile app. It wouldn't accept the code it kept texting to me… And then locked me out. After waiting on hold to talk to customer service, I was directed to someone else. After that person unlocked my account, I had to take a picture of my license 5 times before it was finally accepted by the mobile check-in rep. The main entrance to this location is poorly marked, and so is the rental return spot. When all was said and done, it took me nearly 45 minutes to pick up the truck.
Patrick D.With only one entrance and the units spread over such a large area, it is both difficult and cumbersome to reach my units. Additionally I discovered a 10x20 isn't really a 10x20, but two 10x10 side by side which didn't work for an item I needed stored resulting in my having to rent two units instead of one. The staff was helpful but the facility itself is awkward and inconvenient.

Made it very difficult to reinstate a storage rental I had made there over a year before, due to the system losing my contract. The only thing that kept me from saying WTF and walking out with my stuff was how helpful, creative, and mutually frustrated the staff at the facility was. Great people! The fact that an inquiry leads to 45 minutes wasted while I was on a tight schedule to begin with was extremely frustrating. Again, this was no fault of the facilities employees. They truly saved the day and kept me as a customer, albeit one shaking their head over the problems with your information management! Fire your IT department! Give those folks at the facility a raise and an "way to go"!

The movers were nice and very good at reorganizing but the move took 5 hours. Which was 2 hours longer than I was told that it would take. I was disappointed to have my furniture moved because inevitably there was some damage to the wood. Not sure when it happened, either when it was moved in or moved to new space. But every tim I move there is risk of damage, so I hope that I don't have to do this again. I'm glad to have 2 free months, but I hope you don't raise rates on me AGAIN before I move out completely.

When I moved out 2 days later, I asked if I could get a prorated amount since uhaul cancelled my reservations. I was told to talk to the manager. So I called back several times and was never able to get ahold of Jen. I was told multiple times she would call me back, but never got any call from anyone. The facility was clean amd well kept but communication was non-existent from the manager when I needed help. All the other associates were nice and helpful. It was just frustrating to pay another month of storage when uhaul was the ones who cancelled my move in the first place.
Anna A. | Overall ExperienceThe fact that you won't guarantee a truck or made changes to u-box drop off locations at will was extremely inconvenient for me, especially since I was moving out of state. The U-Haul storage facility was all good but they don't pro-rate the rental so I basically paid $60+ for 1 week. There is zero reasons why they can't pro-rate. I also got different answers from different people about the equipment rentals and pro-rating the storage unit. I will never use U-Haul again (I went with Penske and had a much better experience).
