Outside driver door lock didn't work. I had to use the passenger door and crawl across the seat. Vehicle was dirty from lock oil spilled down both doors and paint spilled on the left rear bumper and license plate. To your credit, the staff people were friendly and helpful.

The employees that work for U-Haul are liars.. Rent on March 1, 2024 4:30_ 8:30 for 4 hours. We returned the truck at 8:07 p.m. on March 1, 2024 with fill tank of gas... We drop the key in the drop box make sure the doors was lock... They should just charged us$ 55.89. I got a emil for a bill saying we retured the truck March 2, 2024 @ 7:00 a.m. n they charged my credit card $78.95.. They ripped customer's of their money and they put information in the computer the wrong wayof returning truck so they can get extra MONEY. They do false advertisement also. But it dont be in fine print at all. So please be very careful renting from u haul equipment in trucks... If you rent for 4, 8, or 10 hour's make sure u have it back withing 2 hours. When returned the truck put keys in the employees hands and also get your receipt the same day...

They had one worker working the desk and it took over 1 hour from the time arrived to get up to the desk to get the trailer I rented. The process of paperwork is very slow even if you checked in online.

The driver door would not unlock with key had to climb in from passenger side, Door on truck was so hard to pull up and down needs WD40 also the Lock to lock the back door was very hard to lock and unlock!

Truck wasn’t properly inspected which resulted in my driving it with the oil change and check engine light on. Then they gave me about 100 in gas charges even tho I returned it at the level they gave it to me. Apparently that’s a 30.00 up charge alone. Customer service left me waiting on hold for a supervisor who never showed and the movers the recommended showed up 4 hours after there confirmed time.

The vehicle we used was very dirty. The chairs were full of white pet hair and it smelled like an ashtray. The location only had one person working with customers which made us wait over 30-40 minutes to pick up and return (each time). There was another staff but he was in charge of sweeping the back of tye trucks or sweeping the office space.

Well - your computer system was somehow down and the employees here seem to be in some sort of workaround mode. I'm not sure what happened but it took ~50minutes to pick up a truck. Being generous on the return time was appreciated. I would think filling the truck up with gas so all I had to do was top it off might be an easier to accomplish task. I think I filled it too far and I don't think you refunded me. The truck worked well enough, and had no big issues. I wouldn't call it clean exactly - and the floor was wet. But that really didn't bother us much.

They seriously could’ve used another person working there as we were held up for half an hour while the one person helped somebody else who needed to tow a car. This made us late for the moving people who we hired. But the truck ran great, and except for the fact that they didn’t include the moving blankets we paid for, I really can’t complain. Well, not more than I just did anyway, lol.

When had 3 Uhaul storages from June until now and after Rented many trucks in the recent months and never any discounts, we're veteran, and senior citizens, I guess that doesn't count. We had late fee's put upon us that wasn't our fault, I feel we should have gotten refunded for that. We used storage and truck rental from June up until now drove from Bflo, get to Rochester Uhaul was closed, we had to drive back to Bflo, because we we're storing our property here in Rochester until our property purchase closed, and drove back here the next day cost us$325 For a one-way rental, they forgot we had a storage but couldn't get in.

I walk in the attendant asked me if I’m dropping off the truck I said yes and he put his hand out for the key he’s helping other customers at the time, and asked me if the fuel at same level of the time I picked up the truck I said yes it pretty much empty and he said okay he’s will send the receipt through email. When I got the receipt I was charged $49 and change for the fuel when I returned the truck it’s was a bit more left than when I picked it up.

The truck we rented was all smashed up in the front. The cab was filthy. When I got home with the van, I cleaned it thoroughly. The customer service was fantastic. The rate that it cost to rent good. The actual equipment was less than satisfactory.

I made my reservation online. Called to say I would be arriving after the close of the business office . Employee stated that was not a problem,that I would be sent a "link" that would walk me through everything and we could unload until 10:00pm. Drove 3 hours to arrive with a 26ft truck full of belongings and nowhere to put them. Was on the phone with customer service for a combined time exceeding 2 hours and EVERY customer service representative forwarded me to another. There were 5 total all of whom stated that they could not help me. I slept in a car all night because we did not have money for a motel. When we went back at 7:00 am we were given an old truck trailer to put our things in which is not even protected behind a gate. No apologies were conveyed by staff for any of the inconvenience. None!!! No offer of refund or partial refund. No remorse over the situation. The most disgusting customer service situation I have ever experienced. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone.

I have quite a few storage units at my local U-Haul. My latest one was supposed to be 10 x 20‘ it is closer to 9 x 19’. I had to get the smaller unit because they didn’t have any larger ones available. I’ve had quite a few problems with re-renting the larger units. I’ve spoken with the general manager, I’ve tried contacting his boss by phone and email where I have received no reply. I’ve called the 1/800 #and I have emailed the corporate office and I have not received any reply. I want as far as to text the CEO of U haul who put his phone number online, also to get no reply. Their units are convenient and less expensive but customer service is something they do not have.

Did not honor Uhaul deal for 1 free month of storage when I had booked a trailer for rent. Storage unit had a roof leak and they did not seem to have interest in the complaint or trying to address it. Was told Uhaul insurance would contact me in 10 business days and have not been contacted after a month.

Place was filthy when I rented it . I called to have it cleaned out before I arrived to store some household contents and the manager said he would get it cleaned. I had to clean it myself. Manager was not available. I have used this facilities three times over a number of years but will nevever go back. Found mice feces on some household items due to holes in back of rental space A very bad experience!!!

I reserved an indoor large storage unit for my 2 bedroom apartment and was notified when I arrived that my reservation had been essentially given away. I was only offered the option of an outdoor storage unit which I did not want but had no choice but to use. The staff did not offer any explanation or accommodations for possible other locations. Facility was clean and well-maintained. Jose and Roger (his name might not be Roger - he was working on 11/7/21 and processed our move-out) were super nice and helpful. Everyone else who worked there was incredibly rude. Almost as though they went out of their way to be so. Customer service training may help. Just basics like remember it’s okay to smile, greet your customers, don’t act like you are doing them a favor every time you have to do your job. Kyle was by far the rudest, but all of them except the two mentioned above were just awful. Facility was great, though.

Hey Kevin. Not sure how my experience differs from others but others but I constantly had mice in my unit for almost the full 4 years I was there and they nested in my rug, carpet tiles, packaged tv wall mount hangers, tub/box of hand tools and memorabilia and had feces all over the place that ruined a floor lamp and required me to clean everything I had in storage from my 2 bed apartment. I filed a claim with Joshua Buzi at repwest and they said they would get it to local managers to review. Can you tell me how that is going? I would like to be compensated for the items that were ruined trusting that my possessions would be safe at your location. Its not much. I handled most of the issues with my own sweat equity which was actually very tough and big job that I was not planning on doing. I will wait until I hear back before I review further. As of right now, this is my review for you. Thanks.

The reason I answered "No" to question #5 is because I found rodent droppings and what appeared to be urine on several of my items all of which I had to discard. I didn't keep food in my unit and I tried various recommendations which still didn't keep the rodents. I have been advised to file a claim.

My storage unit was overrun by mice. Anthing that was wrapped in paper was shredded and they urinated on my furniture. So much was ruined. Threats to sell my possessions during the pandemic was a horrible experience, especially after I had spent so much money there. Customer service, terrible. What a horrible attitude. Get another job. This one is making you miserable and I am sure your pay qualifies you for food stamps

Overall the storage place is nice and secure with the gated entry. There is light outside the units but no light inside making it hard to see. The area is clean and well maintained but there is a bad rat and mouse issue. The droppings were huge which lead me to believe it is rats. I found a dead small mouse outside my unit as well. They got into one of my bags that you heat up in the microwave and put on your shoulder. Apparently it had grains in there which they sniffed out. They tore it up and got grains everywhere, they made nests in my bedding and chewed through some cardboard boxes. There were several bedding comforters with rat pee and poop and grain where they were clearly sleeping. I'm having to get all my bedding cleaned and some have to be tossed because they chewed holes in it.

My experience was excellent other than that I just have one thing that would really really help people (that's why I didn't give five stars). Please please please please please please please I beg of you, do something about the fact that you highly overestimate how much can fit in a storage unit. People rely on your estimates for their move. They do not have their own experience with this. The same problem goes with the u-haul trucks. A storage unit for a one bedroom no way fits a one bedroom. Same with a U-Haul truck, as experienced with a separate apartment's contents by a family member. Even the one to two bedroom storage unit and the one to two bedroom U-haul truck do NOT fit all the contents of a one bedroom. My family member had to change U-Haul trucks twice. Even the moving company I used said that you guys were overly optimistic when it comes to thinking what fits. I am not sure that you realize the implications of this overestimation. If you cannot fit everything into a storage unit, you have to change storage units, which can be an extreme stressor. I had to try three different storage unit sizes. If there is a U-Haul truck that does not fit everything into it not everything can be moved and precious things have to be thrown out and repurchased. I am not sure if the person that owns the company has not moved or experienced this or what is going on. I would recommend sendng out surveys asking people what size fits or so if it is such a problem. I would recommend you do something about this. I don't know why this is done by your company. I don't see the benefit to your company. We are puzzled by this, because you are a very very wonderful company other than that. Your staff is kind and patient, your return policy is excellent, and you are more than willing to help out. In summary, your company is amazing and awesome and your customer service is absolutely excellent. I just went into my recommendations because I thought it would help you with your future customer service as well as your customers. I am sure you want only the best for your customers.

Rented storage unit ahead of moving truck arrival. Tried to reach local office by phone to make arrangements for trailer for several days with no response. Nobody answers the phone at this location and staff seems untrained and uninterested. Several people were there in person complaining about truck rentals and inability to communicate with staff. Rented storage for less than a month and are now attempting to reach office again to cancel since we no longer need unit. Once again, no answer. Would not recommend.

They put a pock on the storage the day i was moving. I came to get a truck and went to unload it. And got there and there was a lock. I was never able to usr the storage. This was unfair to me.

Pros/Cons: Well lighted & clean. But rental fee increased 2x in 1yr! Call center never has the answers to you questions, have to go into the location to get issue fixed. Cnt ever find worker on site.

Service was lacking in explaining the use of vehicle. Each truck is different. My wipers became loose in a rainstorm. Couldn’t find the lights. Space too short to say how you rushed, were unhelpful.

Make sure you wrap belongings in plastic because rust completely soaked my couch pillows. Not sure if it was the humidity that caused the rust dripping or what other than that the storage is clean
