The truck and trailer were excellent and pulled really well. My only complaint is with the tailgate. I rented a 6'x12' trailer to haul a x500 JD with a 54" deck. I didn't measure the tailgate, but I would say about 5' is all it is. I'll definitely rent from again despite that. I was impressed with the truck and trailer and cost.MERRILL B.

Specifically told them where I needed to drop off and that helped zero. First uhaul was a mini mart and the rep wanted info personal security codes on Credit card, address , kept saying it was all wrong on his screen. How does he know if my addy is wrong or not. very unprofessional and I felt a scam in the mist. How he was approved to deal with the public repping you is crazy... this place was litterally in the projects and there was all sorts of business happening outside with drug dealers.. The most ridiculous place to send your customers. Stop 2 right before pulling in I get a call to go to last stop where I waited and waited. then the info was was entered wrong. On monday I call uhaul , I attempted to but for almost 3 hours no one answers out of 20 timesthen finally and I am told the managers will call me back in a few mins. It was a few hours and I had to call him to initiate a change in drop off. anf the only reason I tried calling yet again was because the damn trailer dolly locked up for no reason at all. Finally because even the manager did not know what to do I finally took the locking device apart on the side of the road and took it to where it was dropped at a U-Haul. And the lady there is the only rep who actually did what she said she would and that was email me a receipt because I was not willing to wait . She gets 5 stars. but the rest of you can kiss my assJOHN T.

On the day we came to empty our storage units we found rat feces all over our belongs and that our household items were destroyed. As we worked to go through our packages we found 4 rats in our boxes and amongst our belongings. When we asked for assistance we were rudely dismissed and told "file a claim" and given a pamphlet. When we called the number to customer service we were on hold for over two hours and eventually ended the call once our movers loaded all of the items we could take home. Thankfully we didn't take any rats to our new home, however we lost a lot of items we needed and ended up spending much more money to replace items i.e. towels, dishes, sheets, a loveseat and a recliner, wires for our surround sound system which had been eaten through. I would never recommend this storage place, it is not well maintained and there is no reprieve for your damaged items.Virginia K. | Overall Experience

I was repeatedly on long holds on the telephone when trying to book a cargo van. I was told there were NONE available. I decided to do a walk in where I frequently rent vehicles. I wasn't properly checked out when returning the truck. The store called me when the truck had been dropped off hours ago and the man didn't bother to close the transaction. The customer service was AWFUL.NIKI M.

Have the truck that was requested then refund my money properly. Instead of penalizing me for your errors. My money was taxed but taxes were not refunded. Had to end up taking a too large truck thereby damaging my belongings. U-haul needs to do better, even how long it took to get my money back, not until I called corporate was my money refunded and still that was short.REGINA P.

I was told to drop the truck off at Drake Road. After showing up it was a gas station that did not accept my truck because it was so big. They denied the drop off and said i would be responsible if i left it there. I then took it to Governors drive location and they turned me down to. Told me the same thing the the drake location did. After taking the truck to the third location i finally dropped they wanted to charge me a fuel deposit. I took pictures of the gas gauge before and after i picked up the truck. they lied! Just trying to get more money out of your customers. I'm calling my credt card company and refusing to pay the fuel charge.DANIEL S.

I went here first, because I had a reservation. Once I arrived told that it was only for 4 hours. When I made the reservation this was not told to me. Service was exceptional until encountering representative Lucas Black. Lucas was very rude. I asked for a printout of my charges and was told they were sent to my email. I also wanted the charges broken down and was rejected with a smart response. I have had exceptional service until dealing with this individual. The manager was extremely rude and not helpful at all. He explained everything is done through your phone but I was having trouble with my phone and needed further assistance which he refused to give me so another employee came out to help I explained to him the back of the truck was filthy and still had trash in it which he immediately cleaned out I then proceeded to show him marks and scratches on the paint that had not been previously notated so as he began putting X's in the place where I showed him the manager rudely butted in and said I told you, you can upload anything you on the link I sent you so I asked him was it a problem that someone assist me since he didn't want to he then said well we are real busy as if his job took precedent over mine. He then proceeded to engage in an argument with me which I was not about to do so I just walked off. But all this new automated stuff and doing everything on line is extremely unpersonal and makes it hard to know if you're doing things right especially since I was unable to logi6at the time of my returning the truckMartha W.

Vehicle smelled HEAVILY of cigarettes, and a small amount of perfume that someone tried to use to cover it up and it didn't work. Also the check engine light was on the whole time, so that was interesting. Also, my pickup time was delayed because the vehicle I rented went for an oil change and came back 30 minutes after my reservation started. It just seems like poor planning, and a major inconvenience for my plans. I recommend fixing the issues with planning, and making better attempts at cleaning the vehicles. It's clearly posted for no smoking, so someone should have been fined enough to cover a detailed cleaning on the vehicle interior.James T.

Please don't allow smoking in the vehicles. Wash the truck beds out between each rental. Make sure there are no service lights on before allowing a vehicle to be rented. Clean the fabric in the interior of the vehicle as well. Have up-to-date photos of damage to the vehicle for approval when using the app to pickup a rental. Have a more secure dropbox for keys when returning vehicles after hours. It felt extremely risky to leave keys lying in plain sight, dropped on the floor, inside the front door.Shirelle S.

Getting things set up from Pensacola, Florida to go to Huntsville, Alabama was the issue that I had with my stuff. 5 of my U-boxes went to Ft. Payne, Alabama. I had to pay another $1,300 just to get my boxes to come where they should have gone in the first place. I had 4 that went straight to Huntsville. While the other ones went the long route and I had to basically pay twice for a shipment.Tamara L.

Staff was exceptional and the location (office, lots, and storage area) were well organized, clean, and maintained. One downside is that access is limited to only times when staff is available due to a key sign-out procedure; this impacted my plans greatly when I planned to remove items from storage at 5PM on 25 May to place in my new home (closed on it 26 May). On 22 May I personally spoke with the site manager and confirmed that the site would be open for regular hours on 25 May. Unfortunately in the morning of 25 May the site manager decided to close the site early that day, thereby constraining me to waiting until the weekend to retrieve and use my stored household goods - because I stored a lot, I could not clear out the storage into a trailer, move the trailer, unload the trailer at home, and return the trailer during a 24-hour period until the weekend. This unpublished impromptu closure negatively affected my family. Please decide upon and post / publicize non-standard hours at least two weeks in advance in order to facilitate customer planning.John Z. | Overall Experience
