I ended my rental by an extra day my card was charged but I never received her receipt for it. When I returned the truck my car was charged again for the actual mileage but yet I didn't receive a receipt for that or even email about it. I will be calling in the morning because I was like to have a receipt for the entire Bill not just for my initial rental I have three charges on my card and I only have a receipt for the first charge. And I specifically asked if I would be getting a receipt and I was told it would be emailed to me and it has not been

Vehicle was absolutely disgusting. Old trash from previous user, box area was not clean, seat's and cab were disgusting, fuel was basically empty so we had to immediately stop, one headlight was out, every time we started the vehicle it took multiple attempts, box area leaked water(damaged our belongings). Absolutely terrible experience!

The representative took it upon themselves to cancel my reservation, alter the details of it, and make it to where I'd have to pay an additional "wrong drop-off" fee. I called customer service and was transferred to 6 different departments that couldn't do anything about it. I will not be using Uhaul again. The online-to-physical interface needs work. I also had a storage unit code not work, to which I had to make the trip back to the unit during business hours and handle that situation.. essentially, don't do anything online because it's not going to work whenever you get to the physical location. And make sure your representative doesn't screw you over and change the details of your rental.

I would recommend the location. But the company in general I wouldn't. Purchased insurance and then was stranded for 4 days in an ice storm. Called the local u-haul to let them know that I had slid off the road and the storm was getting worse. Paid for two wreckers to pull me out of a ditch. So paid for wrecker service and was stranded. The insurance purchased was not any good and was not honored.

They didn't have everything I reserved. In the confusion of trying to rent the other items I needed elsewhere I forgot to check the mileage and now they're trying to charge me for 300 extra miles. In the time I had the truck I could not have physically gone that far. Can't reach the store manager and corporate is very slow in fixing it. Terrible experience.

Driver side window was left down halfway and it rained inside the cab. The truck was parked up against a storage building and made it difficult to get in the truck. Water running off the storage building roof was overflowing the rain gutter pouring down at truck door. Drink holder was broken but left open in position like it was useable. Placed coffee cup in holder and drink fell to the floor. The fuel was down to less than a 1/8 tank not 1/4 tank indicated on the lease. The info on dash was 27 miles to empty. After hour pickup was a total disaster. It took 1 1/2 hours to get my keys

It's in a terribly dangerous part of town with a bus stop right in front of it full of homeless people. Also our truck was filthy inside. Had clothes and trash from previous people who used it. We've rented multiple uhauls and have never experienced a dirty truck.

I have rented from several u-Haul locations around Huntsville. While parking and maneuvering around this small site is a bit tricky, the staff is fat and efficient. My last rental was a 15' box truck that had the check engine light on and did not start well. It chugged a bit on startup and I think the check engine light affected mpg. It got about 6 mpg when the website stated 10 was average highway mileage. The steering was also a bit tricky in this vehicle.With all that said, i made my 170 mile round trip without incident. Got the job done.

The service was courteous and professional. But this University Drive location is small with restricted access and no rain cover. It was pouring that day. The car hauler surge brakes were unsafe. When empty and under moderate braking, they would lock up dangerously. This was not a problem with other units I rented in the past. I informed your agent of this. If the trailer had a connection for my electric brakes it might not have been an issue. I suspect that most customers renting this unit have 10,000 pound towing capability with electric brakes as I do.

As a first time customer for UHAUL, The drop-off location was clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful. I received my truck without any of the supplies I had ordered with it. Being on a time crunch at the time of pickup it was a pretty big inconvenience. The online self dispatch process would've been great if the app worked correctly without me having to call in to customer service. Overall had a 6/10 experience mainly just not having the supplies during pickup and the app being the main drawbacks. Everything else was a pretty smooth process

The Truck was out of Allignment very bad. The Mileage that was allocated for the Trip was incorrect, We stayed to the interstate, which according to Uhaul was 30 miles over on Mileage charging us accordingly. Been a Uhaul customer a long time this was my 1st issue of this kind

The young female that had an Afro on September 14 around 4:30pm was very rude . I visited this place twice and my first visit was amazing. This time around I would not recommend. She should not be on the register at all . The employee was very hostile , I pulled out the exact same debit card I used on my first visit and she stated “No you need a credit card “. I don't see the difference. This person should not be employed there .

U-Haul is THE ONLY WAY to self-move. Excellent company plus excellent people equals excellent customer service! Yes, I would recommend U-Haul any day of the week over Ryder and/or Penske. Our storage unit had some roaches come in it. Thankfully we didn’t have our things in there long where it became an infestation. Parking and accessibility into the parking lot and where the storage units are is inconvenient which is no fault to the staff. Otherwise the staff was always accommodating and friendly. Absolutely no issues with accessing our unit, opening and closing out the storage unit. Only reason I would not recommend to a friend is the hassle of the parking, accessibility, and the roaches.

Used this facility while moving my daughter and took this facility due to U-Haul special giving a free month. Facility was horrible! It stunk like dead animals inside the building and also inside the storage unit. Told manager and Al they did was come out and take pictures of fluid coming out of the adjoining unit. Couldn’t even go into building because I was gagging! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

Was first told to drive over the curb and when I expressed concern about damaging the truck I was assigned a different unit up the street. Was not able to get in the gate, had to make another trip back to the office. Finally got in the gate and the unit was rusted shut. Another trip to the doc is and almost two hours in was promised someone would come and change the latch and it would be quick. Waited another 25 minutes and wound up renting a unit at LifeStorage. I made another trip back to the office to move out. The employees were so rude (not just on this trip, the whole time). Will not do business with uhaul storage ever again. Also the facilities are dirty and in poor repair. They don’t seem to be secure either. There’s a lot of homeless people around and always asking for money.

The storage facility was dark and there were constantly shady looking people walking into the facility with suitcases and other personal belongings and never walking back out. The facility does have a tall fence surrounding it so you he can assume they weren’t just passing through. The area where my unit was was down a hall with no lights in it or the unit itself. The hall was short and there was only one way in or out and the door opened toward that direction and would not open fully so you had to close the door every time you walked by to get something else to put in. Overall this unit was better than my other Uhaul experiences, so it didn’t get one star.

We rented for less than two months and mice had infested the unit. Mouse bait was placed in the unit. Lots of feces and a dead mouse was found on our couch. The couch had holes in it due to mice. The property is dirty with lots of trash in the parking lot. Its in a sketch part of town. The bathroom smelled like urine from the floors and no soap in the dispenser. The employee was professional and clearly understaffed.

This U-haul facility was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the reservation was originally made at the U-haul storage on Spartman drive and it was given to someone else that morning and they didn’t have any other units available. So they sent me to this one on University drive. I was very disappointed that the storage unit I reserved had been given away and that I had to drive to another location.

I didn't rent a vehicle from u haul. I have a storage unit with you all. I will say you all don't have adequate parking for your customers. I could not park in the parking lot to take care of business. I wouldn't rent from you all just because of the way the parking is set up.

First of all, there are not enough people working at the University Dr. store to meet the volume of customers. Secondly, I have never heard of any storage unit that requires the customer to purchase the storage company's lock, so I did not appreciate being threatened with having the lock I purchased for the unit I was provided cut off if I didn't purchase a U-Haul circular lock. It's bad enough that U-Haul has some of the highest rates for storage units that I have ever seen, but to feel pressured to spend money on the company's circular lock is especially horrible. It didn't help that I saw other units that did not have the U-Haul circular locks on them. There was also some confusion about the terms of the one month's worth of free storage. I was told by two U-Haul representatives that I qualified for a month's worth of free storage with no stipulations added or explained in either case. If the unit was not offered for free, I would never had bothered using a U-Haul storage unit. Finally, as I answered in the introductory questionnaire, no, I would not ever recommend a U-Haul storage facility to anyone.

On the day we came to empty our storage units we found rat feces all over our belongs and that our household items were destroyed. As we worked to go through our packages we found 4 rats in our boxes and amongst our belongings. When we asked for assistance we were rudely dismissed and told "file a claim" and given a pamphlet. When we called the number to customer service we were on hold for over two hours and eventually ended the call once our movers loaded all of the items we could take home. Thankfully we didn't take any rats to our new home, however we lost a lot of items we needed and ended up spending much more money to replace items i.e. towels, dishes, sheets, a loveseat and a recliner, wires for our surround sound system which had been eaten through. I would never recommend this storage place, it is not well maintained and there is no reprieve for your damaged items.

Staff was exceptional and the location (office, lots, and storage area) were well organized, clean, and maintained. One downside is that access is limited to only times when staff is available due to a key sign-out procedure; this impacted my plans greatly when I planned to remove items from storage at 5PM on 25 May to place in my new home (closed on it 26 May). On 22 May I personally spoke with the site manager and confirmed that the site would be open for regular hours on 25 May. Unfortunately in the morning of 25 May the site manager decided to close the site early that day, thereby constraining me to waiting until the weekend to retrieve and use my stored household goods - because I stored a lot, I could not clear out the storage into a trailer, move the trailer, unload the trailer at home, and return the trailer during a 24-hour period until the weekend. This unpublished impromptu closure negatively affected my family. Please decide upon and post / publicize non-standard hours at least two weeks in advance in order to facilitate customer planning.

It was very expensive compared to other storage unit. I was glad when they took their own locks off then we could get in to our storage without having to surrender our license

My U-Box delivery was horrendous. Only had two trailers for my 5 U-boxes. therefore had to unload one while one was in transport then unload that one... I should have been warned before this happened.
