Very rude service and self check in did not work--began the process which led to a picture of a lock box that was not available for key pick up. Inquired with the gentleman cleaning one of the trucks and he responded, "I can't hear you and I don't know. Go ask someone else in the building, I don't know what you are asking me for." We went into the building, there were two ladies sitting behind the counter and we greeted them and inquired where to find the pictured lock box that UHaul had in the app for self-check in. The black lady asked what we were trying to do, we told her and she proceeded to look at her phone. The white woman asked and then looked up the info. She took out the previous reservation I had made and re-entered. She requested an alternate number for us, I gave it to her and she made a call on the phone. She responds to me, sorry that didn't work so we cannot reserve it. I told her it definitely works, she tried again and says I must've pushed the wrong buttons. Then she holds a private conversation loudly with the black woman and says "I have problems with customers coming up here with attitudes," and then she addresses the gentleman that was cleaning the truck and proceeds to stop what she was doing to speak to him. Once I paid, then she began to get more polite and said she liked the truck that I was renting and goes over the information. Customer service training is desperately needed to enhance the customer experience.

Truck broke down on my first trip, spent 6 hrs on side of the road between trying to get in touch with roadside assistance, waiting for them to show up (took over 2hrs) and waiting almost another 2 hrs for tow truck to arrive then almost another hr for him to hook the truck up. When it first happened I called the store and they basically told me there was nothing they could do for me but to call roadside assistance, the store never even wanted to try to get me In a new truck till the next day, causing me to lose the only help I had from a friend moving. This caused me to lose basically 3 days moving and having to pay for another 2 day of truck rental

The service was terribly slow. The first trailer I was assigned had a flat, requiring me to go back to the counter to get a new trailer. Additionally, when I booked the reservation about 1.5 weeks beforehand, the quote I was given (which I prepaid) included safetow. Surprise, surprise the coverage was magically omitted when I went to checkout at the counter. I was charged for it again in store.

The website had a different set of Access hours than was actually the case. Those hours were part of my decision to go with UHaul. It was too late to change locations when I realized the true hours. I needed the storage right away

They advertised they had 10 foot trucks, whereas closer locations said they could not guarantee that. But when I got there, they gave me a 15 foot, which cost me in gas and was a real problem with my move. I will just ship things next time.

U-haul online reservation system leaves much to be improved for ease of customer use. It took a number of attempts for me to get a reservation made and then on the day of pick up, the pickup location was changed. The notice of the change was by text, which I was unaware of because of an airline flight. From the airport, I attempted to pick up the van, but I had to drive an additional 15 miles through heavy traffic to pick up the van at the reassigned pick up location. I had also ordered online, some moving pads, but the reassigned pickup location had no record of the purchase I had made. They were unable to contact the purchase with the 1st U-haul location, so I had to wait a couple days to actually get the pre-purchased pads. All in all U-haul has a very poorly coordinated system of communication between dealer locations. The van itself was very reliable, comfortable and easy to drive, so no complaints about the van.

The vehicle I put in the website to tow on my trip was checked and approved online. When I get to the U-Haul store, they took $1,000 from my bank account and then told me no I cannot pull this vehicle. So after spending another $400 on another trailer and pulling it with the vehicle I didn't want to drive, I have yet to be refunded my money. This has been 6 days ago!

The guy who hooked a 6/12 trailer to my truck was using the thing they moved Trailers around manually to place on my hitch. The man was banging and shaking my truck forcing me to go out and assist him. The man then gave me a faulty light harness. He told me to turn on only my flashers to check my light connection. He sent me on my way with the nastiest attitude.

Don't steal money from customers by miss stating gas gauge reading. Contract said 3/4 tank of gas. I read the gauge and it had 1/2 tank. I did an adjustment test as instructed. I returned the truck with 1/2 tank of gas and was charged $30.40 for gas. After 55 minutes on hold, I received a refund for $30.40, but not for the taxes on the amount. I was told if I did not take $30.40 without taxes, I would get nothing.

They stole money from me. I brought it back with a full tank, but they stole money for “gas” from me anyways. They also made the after hours check in process extremely difficult for anyone who doesn't normally use smartphones. This was horrendous.

I was not notified that I would need to arrive within 30 minutes of my scheduled pickup time to get the truck. When I arrived, it was an hour past my scheduled time. I showed the woman working there an email that stated I could pick my truck up any time, 24/7. She stated that I misunderstood the email and there was no longer a truck. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked if there was anything else she could do. She said no. I asked if there was another type of truck or trailer I could rent and she said “probably not”, then ignored me and started helping the next customer. Luckily the other woman working overheard my issue, and was able to set me up with another van. If I hadn't been in tears and making a scene enough that the other employee noticed me, I would not have left with a truck. It was incredibly demoralizing and awkward.

Overall decent experience. However, I booked the unit through your main u-haul corporate number as it was done simultaneously as booking the trailer. The service agent clearly stated that I had a unit at this location that was climate controlled. I get to the location and they do Not have my reservation and cannot offer a climate controlled unit. This was frustrating. Then to be told we will be charged an extra $2 per furniture blanket if we don't fold them....REALLY?! Other than that, experience was decent. Team at this location still was helpful in resolving the issues.

I reserved a uhaul for February 29 at 7am ., totally forgot about that time made it to uhaul around 8 only to find the truck was No longer available., no warning Na email reminder nothing. I e reserved vehicles for personal usage and never received this type of service. Uhaul should definitely look into this policy and make the employees more sympathetic with customers because the attitudes are terrible
