By far the worst U-haul moving experience I've ever had. I waited 6 months to post my review just to ensure my card wasn't "accidentally charged"; that's my level of faith in this location. Upon arriving to retrieve the truck at our appointed time, there were two attendants in the building, one customer ahead of us, and a pretty long wait. While we waited for the one attendant working to become available, my girlfriend accidentally made eye contact with the other one, Breasia J. Now, we didn't mind waiting. I prefer polite behavior above all else. After assuming that meeting eyes meant demanding service, Breasia's unnecessary attitude went as far as to insinuate that she resented us for reminding her of what she had to do, when - quite frankly - nobody asked. Again, I was fine waiting on the attendant who was actually in a good mood. I wish I had gotten him. It wasn't long before I shared her attitude. The U-Haul experience is already long due to their terrible online interface, and the awful technological connection between store and POS system. That's always been evident. However, Breasia's attitude made a lifetime out of 15 minutes you couldn't pay be to relive.iman C.

When I picked up the truck I was told that it had a full tank of gas and that I should bring it back that way. After driving 15 miles I refilled the fuel tank two blocks from the U-Haul return location. It took 4.47 gallons to refill the tank. This calculates an MPG of 3.36. When I brought this to the agents attention he blamed me for not verifying what the agent had said when I picked up the truck. I have rented trucks and trailers form U-Haul for 46 years. Corporate you need to right this wrong or I will never deal with U-Haul again.Rodney P.

I ordered some equipment that was not on the truck when I picked it up (blankets and dollies). The process of getting and returning the truck using the app (supposedly contactless) did not work on full at this location (different from the previous one I used last week). I had to go inside the office to get my keys and I had to return the truck to an agent (who attended me very well, no complains). But if I choose contactless, it should be contactless.Fernando V.

I reserved my truck at the 3947 Peachtree Road location. I arrived at 7:30am (reservation time) and received no prior call/text/email. I was told I had no truck and they simply had no solutions for me. I was sent to this pick up store, after arguing with the employee at the original store I was told I can use a $50 guarantor discount. I arrived at this store and was once again told I have no truck. This was about 10 minutes after I was sent there. Spent about 20 minutes onsite there showing my reservation # and explaining the situation to finally get a truck. They would not approve my $50 discount for the hour I spent getting the truck and moving from location to location. Once I got the truck it smelled like marijuana on the inside, as well as had the engine light â€˜Oil Change Required.' Due to this experience I will certainly not be using u-haul in the future. I paid full price, and got my truck an hour later than my reservation at a different facility that impacted miles/gasoline.James S.

Have rented here several times with totally positive experiences. This time was the exception. I was handed the keys with no checkout procedure. It didn't cross my mind as I had several other things going on that day, but I've never not done a check out with either paper or cell phone images. I didn't see the text message until it had expired. I called the main number and documented many gouges and scratches that did not seem to be marked with the X in a circle labels. She then sent me to customer service who reissued the check off text message. I submitted those photos with notes referring to the previous discussion. On the item for cleanliness, I checked that it was not clean and was going to mention a smoky smell, but when it asked me for a picture I found an ashtray full of ashes. Have used U-Haul for over 30 years and have never had an experience like this. Am expecting not to be charged but still haven't seen the pending charges turn to actual ones on my bank account.Lee R.

Did not like having to pick up in chamblee, ga when lots of uhaul's were a lot closer. Did not like returning the equipment to Oakland, tn when there were lots of uhaul's closer. Did not like you (uhaul) NOT honoring my reservation in Bartlett, TN and sending me to Raligh, TN and when I get there there were NO 20Ã-10Ã-10 rooms available so I had to get a 10Ã-10Ã-10 and 2 5Ã-10Ã-10 storage rooms. Jason petty didn't even follow through on mileage cost reduction as promised for terrible experience on initial reservation. vida gm from first reservation location very rude. Needs more cs training. My truck was 20 foot and reserved for 9am. Called 8 minutes before to say it's unavailable and offered 0 suggestion or guidance on what to do or how to resolve. Had to call Jason petty area vp to even get help. Put me hours behind schedule and cost me $400 in wasted time with my movers. The fact that no failsafe plan is available or was even attempted was ridiculous. Such a low caliber employee hired. The $50 refund does not even begin to touch the damage done here by Uhaul not being dependable. If you have customers who might return late, there should be a better backup plan in place. Corporate cs took 25 minutes to answer. How about you hire enough people to staff and handle your demand. Totally absurd experience. I have used Uhaul a few times a year for the last 10+ years. Ask for all the documents at the time of ordering the rental, NOT AT THE TIME OF PICKING UP THE RENTAL WHEN there is a time pressure and a 100 other things to take care of. Also in the app, there is no option to report any issues with the assigned rental, e.g. my rental had a flat tire. How do I remedy the situation without going inside the office? Also now I've been charged twice for the same rental, once because I booked through the app but which was an unsuccessful pickup, and once for the successful pickup through the rental office.Abhijeet S.

Van should be cleaned and verified by Uhaul employee. My rental was dirty. Windshield was smeared and made it very difficult to see at night. The interior cargo area lights kept coming on and off. This almost caused me to almost have an accident because of being blinded by such a sudden bright light. Then Uhaul actually added charge of $25.00 for cleaning, and I am the one who reported it dirty I'm the first place?! I'm not very happy. I have a major problem with your policy of renting a storage unit. Your people asked me for 2 addresses and 3 phone numbers. I am a single man. I have 1 cell phone. I had to give a phone number of a friend and sister. There is no reason for you to involve ANYONE, for any communication purpose, involving my storage unit. You contact me and me only and don't ask for ANYTHING else. I don't want anyone involved in my life, issues, or storage unit. I have a mailing address and a physical address. You don't need both. Nobody gets both. Why do you need it? Had I known that you were going to ask for all this info, I would have taken my business elsewhere.
