It took 2 hours just to install the hitch, no wiring or anything else. There are visible scratches on my bumper with multiple broken clips and fasteners. They removed my entire rear bumper to install the hitch winch was completely unnecessary. They broke the connector that goes to my back up camera so now my back up camera does not work. I was refused a refund and now how to work with the insurance company to try and get my brand new truck fixed. Worst experience of my life.

I was given a 9' cargo van that didn't have working turn indicators. I mentioned this to the manager and he said it would be addressed. I never received an email receipt for either of the 2 vans that we rented. The rear view camera (display in the rear view mirror) on this GMC van was essentially useless.

Waited for a very long time to pick up trailer. The person in front of me was moving out of their storage unit. No one else came to assist. When I tried to extend my rental I sat on hold for a long time and ended up calling back. Worker tried to place me on hold again and I had to say no because my return time was quickly approaching. The two gentlemen that helped with putting the trailer on and taking it off were great.

I left knowing I have a friend in them(Edward and another gentleman) who was there. I went there browsing but ended renting a unit. Keep up the good work guys.

I am particular about things being re-assembled without looking like they have been disassembled, that is part of the reason why I gave 5 stars. The remainder of my rating is how well everything was scheduled and processed. Everything went perfect, start to finish. The mechanic asked me opinions on aesthetics, and I appreciated that. All in all the experience was outstanding and I would refer my elderly mother to go to U-Haul Moving & Storage At Mission Ave , if she needed a hitch. U-Haul needs to up-date the trailer attachments ( as in) light hook-ups to match newer cars. The customer shouldn't have to pay for old out dated lighting systems!!!! Unless that's another way for make more money for U-Haul??????????

The truck has bad shocks. The ride was almost uncontrollable at times. The person that handled my sign up had many issues dealing with the computers. There was an issue with the amount of gas in the tank. The computer said 3/4 tank, but there was less indicated on the gauge. The checkout perdon said she fixed it in the computer, but she didn't. That cost me $25. Overall, very poor.

I stored ALL of my belongings here for over a year and was grateful I chose them. The price for my unit was the best I could find. A big problem this place has is they always have U-Haul Trailers and/or Trucks in the storage loading and unloading zone. I asked multiple times to multiple employees to move them but it never gets done. For the last few years I’ve had my units I’ve had to constantly deal with not enough parking for us storage tenants.

Charged for an additional day of trailer rental, even though I called while at my U-Haul storage unit and had them come remove the trailer for me there. They kept calling me days later asking when I’d return it I told them I had. They called again asking to confirm I’d returned it because nobody wrote it down. I said I was nervous I’d be charged since my return wasn’t documented, the rep assured me I wouldn't be. Just found the extra charge while looking through credit card statement, otherwise wouldn’t have noticed it. Rep said someone will check cameras at facility and call me back I’m 72 hrs, if not “keep on calling back” Okay but I’m sure the cameras erase by then so this seems weird and a huge hassle for me who made sure I got the drive done in order to return this trailer. I don’t care that it’s less than 100 it’s the principal. Zero instructions how to enter unit, didn’t have scissors on me to cut green zip tie placed on the lock. Employees outside were very nice and helpful, only redeeming quality. I’ve already called the storage facility, hence the feedback I’m leaving here for being charged an additional day after uhaul picked up my trailer at one of their own storage locations.::how could that be any easier and more obvious that I returned it on time? I literally don’t know.

I don’t understand why I have a final bill for 184.95 for this month when my daughter took care of my unit in time only leaving the dryer in the unit which was told to the manager Kayla and she said she would have it moved out for 40$. After looking at my receipt it’s showing that I still have the amount of 185$ yet to be paid.

I hated going to the storage unit because of all of the homeless and outside filth. Some of the staff were great others not so much. The units themselves were fine once the new elevator was installed it helped the old one was dangerous. To answer the above questions truthfully I would need a comment box for each choice.

The building was not well-maintained, and heavy rains ruined the contents of several storage units, including mine. When I tried to put in an insurance claim, I was told I needed both before and after photos of the contents, or the insurance company would not pay for damages. This should be explained to new customers when they opt to buy the insurance, but it was not explained to me, and I am out all the insurance money I paid in.

While I'm a big fan of u-haul, we had significant problems reaching the facility whenever there was a rate increase on the storage unit. Their phones would always go to the corporate office and we left many messages for this facility we're never answered. We left U-Haul specifically for that reason. We did not consider that our business was valued. The people there are great however I think the system is broken.

This reservation was cancelled because the storage room was claustrophobic and very inconvenient with a big heavy door that needed to be opened while pulling a hand truck. I have yet to see the charge reversed as promised.

Jose at this location was excellent... but before this we problem after problem... From the previous manager (Justin) to elevator issue. But the biggest complaint is getting a hold of anyone there or at corporate. Waiting on hold for over an hour is unacceptable and not being able to find information unless you drive to your unit is unacceptable as well. Uhaul is a huge national facility... It should be run more seamlessly

The staff was great. My rating is because the elevator was broken and wouldn’t be fixed for 2 weeks. The only unit available was up a pretty narrow staircase. I had some large furniture and just my husband and our 5 small children. I wasn’t about to kill myself over a free month of storage so I had to cancel and scramble to find something else nearby and get my 20’ u-haul emptied out and back in time.

I really like U-Haul's packing boxes and box tape! But because I am looking for a storage-only type facility I found the heavy amount of traffic (for U-Haul trucks, trailers, etc) to be a bit inconvenient. While U-Haul would be my go-to place for those type of things (and more boxes!), I would most likely only use a U-Haul facility for storage if it was the only thing offered at the location. Staff was super friendly and helpful! I'll be back for more boxes!!

I am writing about my recent one-way U-Haul Truck Rental from El Dorado Hills to Escondido, CA. It is U-Haul Contract 22518356. I chose my destination point because they had on-site climate-control lockers. I made the locker reservation at the same time I reserved the truck. When I arrived at my destination on May 1st, they did not have a locker that was usable for me. The only 10x10 they had was on the second floor and their elevator was broken and they had no idea when it would be repaired. I had dozens of boxes on the truck and it was not acceptable to have to carry them to the second floor by steps manually. I told the check-in clerk that it would not work and my only solution was to keep my property on the truck at no extra cost until they could provide a suitable locker. He checked with an associate and told me that was OK to do. So, when I was called the following week that a suitable locker was available, I rented it, unloaded the truck and returned it. I should not have been charge anything beyond my initial fee for the truck rental, yet I was charged for an extra seven days truck rental. l request you issue me a full refund. Incidentally, right after my experience in my first attempt to return the truck I filed a complaint on the U-Haul website with both the truck and locker contract numbers and asked that I be contacted by phone. Nobody ever responded.

My original unit was n the second floor, but upon arrival we were informed that the elevator was out of order. The alternate first floor unit 5x8x9 we were assigned was available according to their system, but there was a lock on it. The lock was cut only to discover that the unit was still occupied. The only other units were either too small or a larger 5x8x10 was available at a higher price, considering our situation we accepted the more expensive unit. Justin the employee assisting us was very courteous. Perhaps we should have been given the larger unit at the price of the first two units we were assigned, and given the fact that we have 1 free month of unit rental through our previous trailer rental I really cannot complain too much.
