This U-Haul is hands down the best I have ever been to! After a last minute cancellation at an entirely separate U-Haul, Beth at this location spent time troubleshooting, making calls and working with me to make my move a success. I cannot say enough good things about Beth's professionalism, humour and sheer grit as she helped me. It was quite honestly the best customer service I have ever received. Beth should be commended for her composure under pressure and intelligence in assisting me with what was almost an impossible situation. The Milton location at Lawson Road is above average. I am glad to see it continue to grow. They are helpful and problem solvers. The service from the American call centre and offshore IM / chat service reps leaves a lot of room for improvement. That was not helpful, just frustrating and didn't resolve anything.Desiree S.

Communication, some compensation when plans get disrupted due to a truck not being available and a reserved day. I was notified the day before hand. Inturn I had to reschedule a truck for monday and did the move entirely by myself. Not happy about this at all, I was told I would get a deal on the price and I didnt, instead I had to pay 125$ deposit to use debit that no one explained to me prior and I even asked if I could use debit..and now im still waiting since Monday for the 125$ to return into my account. I also had to pay fuel for a round trip to bring the truck back and this was trying to be avoided hence the reserved one way I booked week and a half prior.Scott M.
The only problem was a leaky tyre. The sensor told me as soon as I started up the truck. It would have been nice if someone had pumped in air before releasing the truck to me. However, the truck was clean and performed well.Kevin B.

I waited to get my truck for half hour because your computer was not working properly this morning. I only used the truck for half a.day and your organization charge me 47.00 for fuel and I did not use much gas. I.am very disappointed. I've used your service quite frequently and now I will search for a new provider. I called the location to get a reduction in the gas cost and the the agent said there was nothing he could do. This has been the worst experience with UHaul I have ever had. Apparently making a reservation doesn't mean anything and you are not guaranteed the truck you reserved. I confirmed my updated downsize terms with the agent in store of the revised price & included kilometres. When my dad returned the truck (in person the next day) he was told to leave the keys in the lineup on the counter. When I called the following day to confirm they had no record of the return. 5 minutes later I received a receipt for an additional $113 for mileage that was supposed to be included. I am now owed a double refund for the extra charge plus what I overpaid for the larger truck reservation. 2 days later & 3 scheduled callbacks later I still can't reach anyone regarding this issue. Customer service and integrity is not this company's forte.Tania F.

Windshield had a film of dirt on inside. On-line registration and after hours drop off not compatible with android phone unable to take/add picture of odometer to complete my check out. When I first moved into the unit, I was moving my stuff at the beginning of the pandemic. The staff, gave me the wrong information and a few mistakes with my file. When I had spoken to a staff, which turned out to be the manager and she was very rude and brushed me off. I later came to visit my unit and found my lock was removed and told I wasn't paying for and couldn't access my unit. The staff made my transition to move my stuff a very stressful experience when it didn't need to be. My experience with U-Haul at the beginning was not well received, but at the end it was agreeable.Celine S. | Overall Experience
AC did not work in truck! Was a warning light on saying check gas cap. Called to report these two things. Was told the warning light was nothing but a bad sensor and they new about it.I was not informed of this at time of pickup! The ac not working they said they woul;d let them know! I asked for a discount or some kind of compensation. Was told that those two things did not impact my move so they could not offer anything! When I said it did impact my move as I was hot and tired after loading the truck and was looking forward to the comfort of the ac.they still said it didn't impact my move. Was told he would talk to the manager and get back to me he hasn't. That was Friday now Wednesday still haven't heard anything! Not so much as a apology! You advertise safe and comfortable trucks. I did not find this so! I am not the type of person that complains about everything in fact I try not to and have called the manager of places more to compliment good service than complain! Inside of the truck smelt like marijuana. When I was booking the truck I was asked to provide an alternate contact phone number, since i was booking the truck with my home land line number I provided the home number for my spose as well. I was told it is not acceptable... when I told the gentleman its my home number his response was " my wife and I have different numbers and why don't you" and he DEMANDED an alternate number. I reserved a 12x6 enclosed trailer over a month ago for June 1 2022 pickup. Got a call from Traffic at 07:30 am stating the trailer we were supposed to get wasn't returned and none others available. Closest one before noon was Niagara Falls. Reserved the one in Milton that was supposed to return at noon, showed up on time but that one did not come back either. Now we've lost half a day on broken promises and reservations by Uhaul. Took the only available 5x8 trailer to at least get started on our move. Then on June 2nd, I had to return to UHaul Milton to return the 5x8 trailer and finally pick up the 12x6 after three trips there.. No discount on UHauls screw up, other than the lady who I dealt with on the first attempt to get the trailer, no one gave a crap. UHaul had us by the balls and didn't give a crap that they made what was already a stressful move from our home of 20 years, where our kids grew up, an even more unnecessarily stressful event and made it clear that us renters of their product are just $$$$. Also, when we finally got the proper trailer that we were supposed to have from the beginning, the inside was not clean. I pointed it out to the UHaul yard person and they chuckled and told me I could waste even more of my moving time and "bring it around front and they will clean it in a bit". I took it home and did it myself. Where is my cleaning fee please? We have rented motorcycle & car trailers from UHaul in the past with great experiences but I think I will try to find an alternative in the future. I don't expect anyone to read this but I feel better after venting.Jared R.

The poor rating is reflective of my dissatisfaction with the booking experience only. The staff and location were fantastic. I had requested a one way rental and was very disappointed to be informed 3 days prior to my rental date that this option was not available. Having to return the vehicle to it's original location was EXTREMELY inconvenient. It added 3 hours to the overall move and cost extra in gas. The amount the rental price was reduced certainly covered the extra miles but my time and cost of gas left this a bad experience overall.Bradley L.

I booked the truck for 9:00 am on May 29th in April. On May 27th, you informed me that the truck will be available only at 11:30 in a location 30 minutes away from the original location. Perhaps, such changes are routine but it was not obvious at the time I made the booking. I was luck to be able to reschedule the movers and elevator in short notice. It would be helpful if such changes could be communicated at least 3 working days in advance.Sarathsiri R.

The vehicle we rented was not at all clean and it smelled a bit as well. The check engine light came up as well during the drive. The vehicle was also giving out a sign for oil change which is not good. We only picked up new furniture using the rented cargo van but as it was already dirty we were charged 25 dollars for the cleaningRafay A.

Chris was fantastic, he helped connect the trailer after a strange situation with my hitch not being compatible with U-Haul trailers so that was really great. Noah was fantastic in that I ran into him after hours when dropping off the trailer, and I ran into an issue trying to disconnect from my ball, and he got out of his vehicle to help me well after his obligation to do so. 1. Make your written and video instructions match for picking up the rental vehicle. 2. I had to search for the key drop box. 3. I had to walk down a long line of parked vans, to end up not finding the first number I was given, and then walk it again for the second number I was given. 4. Refilling the gas tank is imperfect, since the needle goes well above the full mark and represents a range of "fullness". I ended up putting $30 in and there's no way I used that much. So it couldn't have been full when I picked it up, despite the needle being above the Full mark. Rip off.Katherine L.

I would never recommend uhaul to anyone. I went in 2 days prior to get a quote on a truck. Was given number and returned only 2 days later to book. They wouldn't accept the original quote. And charged me an extra $1500 for the same trip. I asked them why. All they could say was prices change. $1500 is a bit extreme of a price change. So now instead of just driving to my location and dropping the truck off. I have to drive an extra 2 hours. To get the truck to its drop off point. This is bull crap. And on top of that I received a phone call saying no trucks are available and I may have to drive 2 hours to get one….. I don't have this time or money for fuel. Very positive experience. Rented locker for almost 4 years, visiting several times to retrieve and/or add items to unit, and eventually, after a many trip process, emptying out locker. Every visit facility was very clean, very well lit, and very easy (to navigate, and having proper equipment available to me). Staff was super friendly and helpful both over the phone and while on premises. Had storage rate wrong and hopefully it will be corrected by January. Spelled my address wrong but wasn't too concerned about fixing it. Also spelled name of other contact wrong and didn't correct that either. Was very disappointed I have to use my credit card for the storage rental instead of my debit card. I had my banking info ready. The spot where I currently have a uhaul storage spot in Sarnia had no problem with taking the money monthly out of my bank account. Your facility said I couldn't do it unless I had a visa/ debit card which I don't. Why are the payment options different from 1 uhaul to the next? I am giving average star because on the day of my moving the elevator broke and was stunned to find out that the entire storage had only one elevator. It wasn't fixed entire day. Extremely clean. Facility looks brand new. Rented a van and small storage room. 1st month free rent! Free door lock! Staff was very friendly and helpful (even when I set off the alarm). Don't forget to enter alarm code when entering and exiting storage area! You can back up your van to the loading dock and they have dolly carts to use. They give you a map so you don't get lost...lol Load your junk and roll it over to your room. Boom...done!Kevin S. | First Impressions

It was very frustrating that I was assigned the storage 2 times and both of them occupied already. I need to went back to the front desk from warehouse twice to correct this. I dont know how storage system was so inaccurate. On 3rd time I got a vacant storage till then I was totally exhausted with all stuff moving from one point to another. Everything was excellent. A straight and forward moving experience. Staff were friendly, helpful, and communicated clearly - very appreciative for their customer service. I also really appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities. This shows pride in the product and reputable dependancy on the UHAUL brand. There was only one small hiccup, where the lock that was supposed to be in my unit was missing, and had to wait for another one to be brought to me, as I could not leave my items unattended.Joe D. | First Impressions

We go through so many time trouble to access our storage. Whenever we go their is a note ACCESS DINIED to get open wast our 1 to 2 hours. Even set up per payment with credit card, I received payment not received and late fee charged. Your phone and emergency talk button easily wast 30min to 45min. Lots things to need improved.
