Very dissatisfied with the employee handling the transaction, first he charged me for the insurance coverage even though I had rejected it, second he never checked in the equipment when I returned it and ended up charging me for several days of rental . This extra charge caused my bank account to be overdrawn. This caused a lot of trouble and could've been easily avoided if the employee would've done his job righ.

The reservation process was horrible. I went to two different locations Not truck was available and was told to go to a third one. Finally after much complaining I got a truck under a new reservation. When the day was over U-Haul called to enquire whether I will use the truck. Unbelievable the lack of control and disconnection between owned and franchised stores...

BE WARY!! This company is out to take you!! Firstly, the people at the pickup location in Houston did not explain the process on gas, damage, or drop off. When we got there to pick it up at the scheduled time the vehicle was still out with another renter. They quickly cleaned it but completed no walkthrough with us ... presumably because we purchased the full coverage insurance for a long trip. In addition the rental agent overstated the gas as 7/16 full instead of a 1/4 which cost us an additional $30 in gas (I shoulda have taken my own pict). We then learned from the drop off location, when he saw old damage from a previous renter (good thing we had the full insurance) and wanted to charge us for it that the pickup location was supposed to walk with us, take picts (that would expire in 35 minutes??) to document the damage! Never happened! BE WARY!!

Poor customer service. Had me to wait 20 min saying he was waiting on another customer that continued to be outside at their car not inside their building. No greet or nothing once I walked in store. On top of that once I dropped off. Still Poor customer service. If I really didn't need the truck I would have went to another store was pressed for time. Demetrius Collins, Your General Manager was very disrespectful , unprofessional and had a attitude toward me, it seems he don't treat all customers the same. I believe he was being racist toward Mexican, because while I was waiting for my paperwork to close my account, some other Mexicans came in and he asked what they wanted and then told they to wait their turn. Why ask and then tell them to wait their turn with an attitude. Plus he charged me more money than I needed to pay. Y'all have a sign that says you will save 25$ if we clean the truck, I cleaned the truck and didn't get my 25$ refund. I scheduled a U-Haul 5/1/2020 at the8801 Mesa Dr. location, upon picking up the Rental the manager waited on me and suggested I purchase the insurance so I did, moving through the day I made a stop at a local store I had a minor accident in the U-Haul I reported it to the store and to U-Haul no damage to U-Haul only to the store now U-Haul does not acknowledge the accident coverage they want my personal insurance to cover the claim!! What do they have Accident coverage for??? False advertisement.

I was scheduled to drop off at Langley Rd and Homestead but the person there Wes very unprofessional and stated they don't have anything to do with U-Haul. I had to call two different times to get the correct information to drop the trailer

i made a reservation & the trk showed up hours late the attendant kept telling me he was calling but i didnt believe hin as the person was coming from nw houston & it only takes 20 min to get to nw houston as we were already on the north side next he said he would compinsate me for the truck being 3 hrs late that never happened either next the trk was low on oil (i had to check it) as they didnt & they never performed the full saftey check either it seemed they were rushing to get me outta there when i left i did tell the nice man that i had a moving crew of 4 guys (paid hourly) waiting since 9 am (and it was now noon) as the uhaual people reasured me the truck would be available for pick up at or befor 9 am so i showed up at 830 & bought a dozen donuts to brighten the morning & they liked it too during this waite time i was informed that the cuttomer was out 21 min acording to his gps witch confirms my thoughts about the 20 min travel time from nw houston in closing i would like a partial reimbursment for loosing 1/2 day on my move i did try to call cutomer service but after (over 1/2 hour on hold) i hung up and by that time the moving crew was back from lunch (at 1 oclock) so we started the loading of the truck up to 4 pm as that was there quitting time we did have to clean the attic as it was covered with dirt and was clearly never moped or properly cleaned before i picked the truck up i did see the young man enter the back of the truck (but never took time to do a final departure inspection (didnt thing or shouldnt have to) as you expect them to take pride in their job when i was returning the truck i did notice the fuel mileage was no really close at all to your advertised 10 mpg in fact it was much lower (like 7 mpg) when loaded i am a retired trk driver (after over 1 million logged miles) and hold numerous awards for safety & fuel mileage bonuses also i did however try to get 10 mpg when empty & that never happened either (driving 55/60 mph) on a back woods county road with no traffic or stoplights during my return trip to reits garden ctr sighned; really really disapointed have a good day & stay safe

Make sure there's no trash left behind the seats. When returning the truck, I choose to take the some big trash out, otherwise it would of seemed it was I, the one that left the trash there. Other than that, my experience was great. Customer care was outstanding after hours.

This location is in a really rough area of town. Our original reservation was at a much cleaner and nicer location; however, our reservation was changed due to availability. This was the absolute worst location I have ever been to. My wife and I truly felt unsafe as this location isn't in the best location. The representative Krystopher there is simply amazing, but the people on the outside the loiterers and perhaps neighborhood people. Also, the truck was extremely hard to drive as the wheel just kept turning as if the truck needed the Power Steering fixed. It was truly hard to control the truck. Also, my wife felt tremendously unsafe, and didn't want to return to this location, but wanted to return to another location in a better neighborhood closer to our home, and was told that it was impossible without paying enormous fees. The overall experience was terrible and we will not be renting with you all again. Thanks in advance

I had a bit of a problem with the self check out of the truck I had reserved, but Krystopher at the store saw me in the parking lot and came out to help. He ended up doing everything in the store and he was very nice and helpful. I was able to easily check the truck back in after store hours using the app and the key lock box.

I Asked the Yard Guy to back up another vehicle so I could back out with the unit I had rented and he thanked me for not trying to because the units was very close. Instead of doing what I had asked he got into the unit I had rented and drove over the stopper and over another the embankment and drugged the muffler lose from the front pipe and sent me on with a loud noises unit saying it was Ok. I was very unhappy to pay for something of this manner .

Infested with roaches, rats & there were holes in my unit which lead to ALL of my possessions being covered with mold!( I had no idea of the infestation until after move out!) I rented my unit for over 6 months, which I had no need to frequently visit, under the impression that my possessions would be safe. Would NEVER recommend this location!

Well this location needs to hire more workers and also train them correctly. I will say that the store manager Demetrius was VERY helpful in resolving issues but staff needs to be properly trained. It also took me 2 days to speak to someone about an issue, being on hold for about an hour at a time, that was in error and wasn't my fault. The truck was almost empty when it was issued to me, causing me to put gas in the truck in order to make it back to return but I was also charged with an expense for extra mileage. When I finally spoke to a customer service agent, he laughed at me because I was trying to see why I was being charged "just $25".

I am very disappointed at the way I was treated at this uhaul store by the supervisor that made my reservations. So I made a report about my experience at the uhaul store on April 01. On April 04 at 7:38am the supervisor contact me 3 times from store. With angry and aggressive tone asking why did I make a report on him. What was problem? What's the issue? I'm asking for uhaul corporate manager to contact me regarding this issue. If that guy contact me one more time I will take legal actions.

The location was unpaved, which was gross! Since it was raining when my things were loaded, everything got splashed with mud! It was understaffed and the staff that was available did not know how to unhitch my car; my friend had to unhitch my car. If there is any other option for you, save yourself a headache and take the other option!
