Everytime I book when the day comes there is a mix up. What should have been an easy move ended up being a lot of wasted time. I was booked for an outside unit when I returned with my movers they assured the unit would be open and ready....it wasn't....I waited in line only to be told the unit wasn't cleaned out that I would have a different outside unit..they processed the paperwork and outside they take me to show me the new unit he lifts the door and it still had stuff in it...movers still waiting ...back inside only to be told no units available outside so the paperwork is processed for an inside unit....movers still waiting ....finally stuff is being moved into a storage unit but no lock so I wait in line again .. I asked to speak to the manager he credited me $60 but it ended up costing me over $100 more and alot of frustration.ronda C.

Make sure fuel is at the correct level as indicated and that the truck is cleaned if you intend to give me a clean truck I need to return clean. Also if I am not fine to have the truck all day don't say I am. I was told I was good to have the truck all day and that I didn't need to worry about having it back by the time since I told the person at the front desk I didn't know when I'd be done. Got a call saying it was needed for another rental. So wasn't able to use it for everything I needed it for. When getting the truck the girl at the front didn't realize or just pretended to be dumb in regards to just charging the card on file and wasted my time trying to get me to use different cards to try and get it then tried telling me I'd need to rent a box truck when that would have been overkill and more expensive. Not recommending U-Haul to anyone I know let alone this location.Alexander H.

Add customer chairs to signing up desk. I am a senior who walks with a Cain for support and had wait tooo long before getting waited-on, and still had to stand up another 15 minutes to finish. I plan to rent again within 3 weeks for the next 3 months. I hope I do not have to stand for half an hour. Will I have to bring my own chair!!! The person who helped find my reservation was a delight to speak with and even tho we couldn't find the truck at the start, he switched it to a truck that was available and had me going within a reasonable timeframe ! While the steering wheel was very off centre, the rest of the equipment was clean and ready to go when i arrived. Pick up and drop off was extremely easy and I was able to complete everything without incurring additional cost as we had estimated everything as best as we could. I had to wake up early on my move day running around the province for a truck. I was told to go to miramichi from Moncton, and when I got to miramichi, I was told the next available truck was over two hours away. The girl on the phone was unbelievably unhelpful and condescending, as if it wasn't uhaul's fault for the confusion. I will not be returning to uhaul, the way I was treated and disrespected was unacceptable and embarrassingmelanie W.

The fuel issue needs to be clarified. I was given a truck whose tank was not full, but I assumed it was a faulty gauge. I put in three times as much gas in as should be required in the context and brought my receipt to show. I was brushed off as if this was normal. In my book, this is a scam.Jacques G.

I booked a 26' truck for a move we had coming up. February 7th I made the original booking to pickup on a date of march 26th. Reservation 28014181 On February 11th I made a change to the reservation changing my pickup date to march 31st. Then on march 11th I made another change to the pickup date on the reservation to march 30th at 645pm. On march 29th I got a call from uhaul telling me there would be no 26' trucks available and the best they could do was a 20'. While disappointed that i would now have to make 2 trips with the truck and no other options I agreed. On the 30th, I called in the morning to see if there happened to be any change in availability for a 26' truck for my 645pm pickup. There was no change. At around 1130 in the morning I received a message saying before you go follow these self checkout steps. I didn't think anything of it. Thought the email was sent for me to have when I showed up at 645 to pickup my truck. Then around 1pm, I got another Email saying thank you for renting with uhaul and that the truck was do back the 31st at 1pm. I was confused as I hadn't even picked up the truck yet and it was supposed to be picked up at 645pm march 30th and returned 645pm on the 31st. So I called the store and he seemed genuinely confused when I told him I never picked up this 20' truck. He asked me at least 3 times if I picked up this truck. The reservation number which was mine, somehow was given out to and picked up by someone else. After a few phone calls back and forth I was eventually told there are no trucks at all for me. This was extremely stressful as I had movers showing up 7 am the following morning to load our 4 bedroom home into the truck. Eventually someone called me back saying again there are no trucks in my city. And the only truck they had was in Sussex. Desperate at this point I said aside from the mileage and fuel, I'd be willing to go there to pick up this truck. (An hour drive away). She set the booking up giving me 200 km on the agreement, and for me to pick that truck up at 4pm, and return it in moncton the following day. from that point on things went smoothly, but had to spend 2 hours that we really didn't have to spare of our day now driving there and back with the truck, and plus the extra fuel cost to not only drive our vehicle there and back but the cost of fuel to drive this truck the hour drive from the pickup location. We did not have to pay mileage for any of our move, which was helpful but certainly less cost than the cost of the fuel for that drive. Not expecting to be reimbursed for any of this, just explaining the extra cost, valuable time and huge load of stress all this caused. I also received an email at 330pm on the pickup day with the contract agreement and truck information and cost as well as showing someones credit card payment on the truck that was reserved for me from whoever actually picked that truck up. This receipt and contract information all in my name, address and reservation number. Please make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. I'm grateful that the last lady I spoke to on the phone found me this truck in Sussex as I don't know what we would have done if I didn't have a truck to move out the following morning. But the whole experience was full of stress and anxiety on top of the whole process of moving. Please do betterMatt M.

I just gotta say that we had an amazing truck. I was blown away by how smooth it ran. I've known a few people who rented from other locations and their trucks were in poor condition. i was very happy with the vehicle we received :) the online process was very easy to follow and fairly quick to get through. i love that you're able to go in and edit your reservation, change vehicle, location, pick up time, etc. I only wish there was a way to go on and extend booking once you've received the truck, and maybe there is but i wasn't able to find it. I also wish they would send out a receipt once your done to your email because i wasn't able to go and view it again online. other than that , super satisfiedSkyler M.

The building environment and staff were excellent. The major issue with the service is that access hours were surprisingly, and in my mind arbitrarily, limited to 7pm. This makes no sense to me, and since I couldn't always get there by that time, if I can't get at my stuff *at my convenience* then the service was not meeting my needs. I payed for the month of September in advance and didn't get a refund when I closed up the unit earlier than planned. The no refund policy should have been mentioned when I payed online. It was very sneaky. There weren't enough carts so moving my stuff made it very challenging. -Booked online with my name and address and also asked for insurance. When I showed up in person they used the address on my ID that I told them wasn't current and told them not to use it. Every message I got after that had the incorrect address despite repeated attempts to change it. -Didn't apply the insurance fee for some time, then my bill suddenly increased, and changed by dollars for awhile. -Entered incorrect information for my second contact -Alarm went off a number of times despite the fact that I was signed in -Received a phone call about a commercial shipment that had arrived for me (I did not have a business account, was expecting no such shipment, and was completely baffled). The caller left a message (my voice mail has my name) and when I returned the call they insisted at least once it was my shipment. I have no idea how they even got my number for it. -Was not informed about the switch to entry cards instead of a password. -Rodent deterrent didn't seem effective - there were a lot of mouse droppings (no food in storage room). -Rented a van and an appliance dolly to move - photos of van for damage were old, key wasn't with the van like it was supposed to be, van was not moved to the area it was supposed to be in, and dolly was not with it. Employees corrected it quickly when I reported it, which was great. But maybe if this site isn't going to pay attention to details and promises from online reservations, perhaps they shouldn't offer them at this location? I never knew what was going on, and the employees never seemed to know either. I gave up trying to contact them as things wouldn't get changed, people would be surprised I didn't know the thing they didn't tell me, and everyone was often unapologetic about errors. My furniture smells now! Not sure how long it'll take to air everything out until the musty smell is gone. Thankfully we only had our stuff there for a month. The musty smell hits you as soon as you open the door to the indoor storage units. My security card was not set up properly and I keep getting told my access was denied. I returned in the evening to try find out what was happening. The young guy working was quite rude. Did not want to give me a free month even though I had booked it that way online and the manager had approved it earlier in the day. Finally agreed after an employee that was there in the morning as well told him I was telling the truth. When he looked into why I didn't have access he discovered that the person in the morning didn't actually properly set up the card. They had done it as though I moved out instead of moved in. The company I work for booked a locker - with credit card payment. I went to access the locker and no one could find the booking - the reference number was not found - even though I had email confirmation. Luckily there was another 10x10 locker so I booked it myself. While I was there - waiting in line to be served - there were at least 4 other people who were trying to get trucks - they booked on line and had confirmation - but their trucks were no longer available. One lady was moving to BC / had to load up her house that day. She was in tears! Everything seemed soooooo disorganized - booking were lost - not available - it was chaos!!!! The staff were calm and good but it was crazy with people screaming and unhappy. You need to look at your system to tighten up inventory and demand. When I first booked my uhaul, the lady was rude. After arriving to Mtn Road, the young gentleman made up for it- he was very helpful. And when I checked out, the young girl was polite and efficient. But in between check in/out was not great. Door on unit would not stay open, was never fixed when asked. I requested a smaller unit months ago and was never provided any follow up to advise if one came available. When I failed to lock my unit properly, the staff put a large sticker on the unit advising everyone who walked by my door was open but failed to email or call me directly to go fix my lock. When Covid caused a lock down in Moncton for a few weeks, and only essential people could go into Moncton, UHaul manager Corey refused to honor an extension equivilent so I could get my unit cleaned out, instead causing me to pay another full month. Yes, he did give an extra three days so I could have the opportunity to rush into Moncton as soon as the city reopened. But those three days did not give me back a weekend. And even now, masks mandatory, there were people in and out without masks, loitering in front of door without mask, and no entrance/exot set up going into lockers to minimize crossover of traffic. The storage facility alarm was incorrectly going off every 5-10 mins while we were there - how does the staff deal with that every day?! The check in/check out process took way too long. We were waiting in line for almost 20 mins to speak to an agent, then another 20 mins to rent the locker. Same when we were checking out - what a waste of 40 mins when we had so much to do! The automatic door didn't work (we had to pry open a door every time you want to go in or out of the facility). We did rent a truck to move out of the storage locker. The uhaul truck we rented was given to us its an empty tank (no gas - we had to stop and fuel up after moving and packing all day - this was the icing on the crap cake we had to deal with all day and just beyond annoying) The staff were fantastic, and really went above and beyond, but based on the other inconveniences, cannot give a higher rating. Checking in was very frustrating. Our truck and storage was booked 3 weeks in advance and when we got there they did not have the size unit we booked or the floor level we were told they booked for us. They did agree, after me pushing for it, to give us 2 units for the cost of our unit we had booked. When we go up to the units, one is avail the other has a lock on it, so back down, lineup again to make this right. Cory served me this time and was amazing, he walked me to the unit showed me how to access the storage after hours basically went thru everything, which none of it was done by the first guy....it is a great facility but very unorganized. When we booked the unit on the phone we were told it was 5x7, but upon arrival we were told that size was not an option at this facility. We were also told the price was 89.95 but the 5x10 unit we took was 129.95. We spoke to someone who told us he would honour the 89.95 price.
